The children love it here and whilst it is very popular so can be overly busy and the facilities aren't exactly great, it is a very good way to see lots of animals close up and feed them too. The seal show is definitely worth watching as well.

We love this place and have visited it over the years with tiny tots and older children. All have enjoyed it and this year (our first visit since 2006) the zoo had expanded with a much larger area for the apes and monkeys. We love the shady wooded walkways and waterfalls. The zoo has plenty of seats and sells cold drinks and snacks in various places around the zoo though as usual in such places you are better to take a picnic. There is plenty of parking though we cycled which was fun and avoids the queues in and out of La Palmyre which can get pretty bad. There are some negative reviews about feeding the animals popcorn but I assume the zoo keepers know what is appropriate to feed to those animals you can feed and there are very clear signs when animals should not be fed. The sea-lion show is great fun and they clearly explain that these shows are only exploiting what these animals enjoy doing - if you don't like it, don't got to a zoo, go on safari. This zoo makes clear the roll it plays in conservation and there was a lot of good information to read about their work in the zoo and in the wild. Really good place to go as a change from the beach and pool. Only negatives were the stinky flamingos and the old fashioned toilets (ones with the foot spaces) which are not brilliant for ladies. Had to hang my bag on the door handle and take shorts off to successfully go! Gift shop daylight robbery but that's not unique to this establishment!

Wonderful place, the children enjoyed trying to feed some of the animals, and all of the animal resorts looked really great. Also the place is very handicap friendly, it was easy to get around with a wheelchair.

Our third visit over the years to this wonderful zoo. Exceptionally wide range of animals to see and don't miss the set events. Good value overall although as always prepare in advance and take your eon food and water.
