“A perfect holiday!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

La Quercia della Gallura is situated on a wonderful location, in the middle of the typical nature of la Gallura! The views are amazing while you only hear the sound of nature. The rooms are spacious and clean and nicely integrated in the large garden. The dinners prepared by Matteo are extremely delicious while Laura takes care of a friendly table service. As well the vegetarians as the non-vegetarian of our family were positively surprised by Matteo's cooking skills! He helped us in planning our visits and activities and this with his typical sense of humor ;-). The location is ideal to visit the North-East of Sardinia. We felt completey at home. This was a perfect holiday that we'll always remember!

My sister and I escaped to La Quercia della Gallura for 3 nights in June 2014. We had a really wonderful and relaxing time, we were just sad it was for such a short holiday. Matteo was so welcoming and incredibly helpful and obliging, especially as we didn't hire a car so needed help getting around. Laura was smiley and friendly too, although we really only saw her at breakfast and at the evening meal. The location of La Quercia is very beautiful, it's rural and peaceful, a welcome change from busy London! The beaches are lovely and the sea crystal clear. There are so many beaches to choose from; you do really need to have a car (or motorbike) though, as the buses are not that frequent and don't go all the way back from the coast to La Quercia, and taxis seem extremely expensive! The food, all cooked by Matteo, was delicious and the portions were very generous - we couldn't manage to eat that much! It would have been nice to eat at the tables outside and I would have quite liked to be able to eat at a communal table as that would have felt more friendly. The pool was very clean and the water the perfect temperature. We pretty much had it just to ourselves too! The grounds are very nicely laid out and well-maintained, a credit to Matteo as he appears to be in charge of everything himself! Our room was clean and had everything we needed, it was also nice and cool at night so we slept very well. We would love to return before too long.

We stayed in this agriturismo with Easter 2014. We booked a complete package of diner, overnight stay, breakfeast and Easter lunch. Laura & Matteo welcomed us with a fantastic smile and gave us the feeling to be at home. They served us typical Sardinian food, wich was incredible and also too much for the 2 of us. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here and we will for sure be going back. Thanks again Matteo & Laura!

We stayed at La Quercia della Gallura for 5 nights just before Easter 2014. It was a wonderful and relaxing experience. Laura and Matteo are very welcoming and incredibly helpful. The food is excellent and Matteo even held a mini cooking course for interested guests one night. A beautiful place to relax and a great "base camp" for many activities like hiking, horseback riding and exploring the beautiful coast of northern Sardinia. We'll definitely go back.

We went to stay at La Quercia della Gallura on someone's recommendation, but didn't anticipate how amazing it would be. Matteo and Laura are fantastic hosts, who made us feel welcome and relaxed from the outset. Matteo cooks the most delicious five course meals every night. Typical Sardian/Italian food, using local ingredients. The wine is all local too, and again, delicious. Matteo even treated our children to a masterclass in pasta-making after we said how amazing his pasta is (really the best I've ever had). The pool is beautiful and especially good if you have young children. It is designed to be like going into the sea, so it slopes from one end. It is easy to get to the Costa Smeralda and also the North Western coasts, and Matteo always has great recommendations for the best places to visit. Arriving from hectic lives in the city, this was simply the best chill out holiday we have ever had. The only thing is, I didn't want to leave. Now I just can't wait to go back.

We travelled with our two children ( Age 5 and 7) and we had a great experience here.

The young owners Laura and Matteo will make you feel so welcomed, it is really feels like you have arrived home

Here you will experience true Sardinian hospitalily, amazing sorroundings, relax and excellent traditional Sardinian food.

The location is great and beautifully nestled in the hills of Gallura, but in a good strategic position to reach the towns of Luogosanto, Santa Teresa, Palau, and just a short drive (25 min) to the beautiful beaches of Costa Smeralda.

There are 12 spacious and pleasing rooms ideal for single travellers or for families. In front of the rooms there is a spacious garden with many varieties of flowers and you will feel relaxed, and in tune with nature.

The construction of a new the pool will add an extra to the place.

All the food served in the evenings especially bread, ham, cheese and meat is locally sourced you will find every night at dinner cooked in a different way along with other typical Sardinian speciallities.

In 4 days half board we always had great meal and the food was always different. The breakfast is good and filling. Jams, yogurt and cake are always made from the farm itself.

In warm weather dinner and breakfast is served on the beautiful terrace with views of the neighboring valley, having as a background the beautiful hills of Gallura.

They also can organise trips to the islands, cooking classes, bikes hire, etc.

We really can't wait to return very soon

Danke! Danke!

Wow. Definitely don't go here if you're watching your weight ;) The food was absolutely delicious. So fresh, so much, and so tasty.

The rooms are lovely and the hosts are really passionate about the place. I cannot recommend it enough. Well worth the short drive from the coast.

Thank you guys x
