Reviewed 3 December 2013

We stayed for two nights 29th November - 1st December, which is out of season for Wearne House but they were able to take our booking.
There were four of us and so we booked both rooms, one as a double and one as a twin. The house and rooms are beautiful and you instantly feel at home.
Each room has its own bathroom, with fluffy towels and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries.
The use of the 'snug' is exclusively yours too so you can sit with your friends and enjoy a glass of wine - or even watch tv without feeling you are intruding on the owners space.
The breakfast was served in the dining room and it was plentiful! Home made fig jam, porridge cooked in the aga, fresh plums that had been cooked with cinnamon and caramelised - delicious. Plus the cooked option! They were also able to provide gluten free bread and a vegetarian option for two of us.
Unfortunately Pam was away the weekend we visited, but Robert and their son James took great care of us.
Not forgetting the warm welcome from their Dachshunds Henry and Duffy.
Over all we had a fabulous time and will no doubt head back for another weekend next year.
