“Brilliant New Year's visit”
Reviewed 16 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed for 3 nights over new year's and the property was fantastic - exceeded our expecations, and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating, they even moved the contents of the games room in to the main house so we didn't have to get damp using them! It's a beautiful house and surrounding area, and in easy reach of the train station and shops.

“This was the perfect property for our stay”
Reviewed 8 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We had a brilliant stay at Park Farm. I stayed here with my partner, his family and our six month old baby. The house instantly felt very homely and it was lovely to be greeted by the owner, John, and the lit wood burners. The house was very clean all over. The kitchen was very well equipped – we didn’t want for anything. The only thing was our baby’s microwave bottle steriliser was too big for the microwave, which is no fault of the house, we should have checked, and it was no problem sterilising them in a big pan on the AGA. They had a brand new travel cot which meant we didn’t have to pack ours which was great. The house was really spacious, with two lounges and a playroom to relax in during the day – as well as the dining room and large kitchen; both of which had large tables, perfect for big family mealtimes. The playroom provided books, DVDs and children’s toys, – lots to keep everyone entertained. The views from the house were amazing – surrounded by endless country side. The owners, John and Franceska, were very friendly and extremely helpful both before and during our time here.

Thank you very much for this review. It was a pleasure having you all with us over Christmas and we were glad the house met your expectations. We were also very grateful for the neat and tidy handover when you left the house - which was much appreciated. We do hope that you may be able to come back and stay again when the weather is a bit better as you could then enjoy some of the surrounding countryside and walks etc. Many thanks again.

“I didn't want to go home!”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed at Park Farm with my partners family and extended family. 3 generations of us stayed for the Christmas break and it was just perfect. Franceska and John had decorated the house with Christmas Decorations and had dressed a Spruce, it was very festive indeed! On top of this we had a lovely welcome pack welcoming us to their house, it was filled with useful information about the local area and contact details. The farmhouse itself was a wonderful building, so lovely to have the woodburners on the go, especially over the cold and rainy week. Cooking with the Aga was a treat, the Aga made the kitchen lovely and warm, was so nice to sit down in a warm cosy kitchen as soon as you arise! The house is near a couple of villages and if the weather was better we would of tried out a few of the walks. The house itself is an interesting and unique property, every day you will notice something different! The owners are so helpful too, we had to contact them a couple of times and they were very helpful indeed. We would love to return!

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your Christmas Break and it was our pleasure to host you and your family. We are delighted that despite the battering gales and rain you were all warm and cosy in the farmhouse and that you enjoyed your visit. Perhaps you will be able to return in better weather. Thank you for leaving the house in such good order which was much appreciated. Our best wishes for 2014.

“Fabulous farm house and warm welcome from owners”
Reviewed 2 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

From the moment we arrived at this warm and welcoming farm house we fell in love with it
Great place to have family gatherings as it has a dining room and large kitchen breakfast room. The dining room and two of the reception rooms down stairs have wood burners which the owners kindly light on request . They also prepared a bed down stairs for elderly member of our family. I highly recommend this property for rental

Thank you for this positive review. It was a pleasure having you all with us and we only wish you could have stayed longer. We are so glad that the bed downstairs worked out well for your Mum and that she was comfortable. The house seems to be winning the hearts of quite a lot of our guests and we are delighted that you spent such a happy time at Park Farm. We look forward to seeing you all again at some date (not too far in the future) Best wishes to all your family for Christmas and the New Year.

“WHAT A TREAT!”
Reviewed 26 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We needed somewhere quite local to fit in all the extended family for a celebration and found this complete gem. Beautifully furnished, immaculately presented and just such a treat. We walked, talked, laughed, ate and drank our way through a thoroughly relaxing few days. This is a classic house that really does look as if it should be gracing the cover of a magazine but is such a comfortable, welcoming home.
Extremely well set up kitchen and loads to do. Top notch bedding and plenty of space for 3 generations to all be comfortable together and apart..

“Your own spacious farm house in the country! (For the weekend)”
Reviewed 7 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We booked Park Farm for a long weekend and had a lovely time. It is a gorgeous Farm house in the countryside with it's own woods, Aga and 3 wood burning fires. There was a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us and lots of information in the house about things to do and an OS map in the hall way ready to plan lots of walks. There is lots to do for kiddies, but we only had 1 toddler with us, but the puzzles kept her entertained. We really enjoyed our weekend at Park Farm, we cooked lots of meals with the Aga (and got the hang of it) and there was everything that we needed in the house.

Thank you so much for your comments and we really enjoyed having you with us for the weekend. It is so nice to see three generations enjoying time together and the house seems to work so well for families. Sounds like you had some fun with the Aga and that the Aga Cookbook guided you through preparing some delicious recipes! It really does produce the most succulent Sunday Roast lunch. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. Best wishes.

“A delightful stay in a country idyll”
Reviewed 27 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We stayed here as part of a family birthday and had a superb time. The owner could not have been more welcoming and the place was immaculate, being newly renovated. The views across the Somerset fields really are very special and it was great to have so much space around us. We were blessed with good weather that let us really enjoy the space and the woods above. Thank you for a lovely stay!
