“5 Star quality - So romantic!”
Reviewed 4 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We had the absolute joy of staying here for half term... from the very start Ali couldn't have been any more helpful. On arrival we found the barn to be absolutely beautifully finished, it really is 5 star, there is heated slate floors throughout and a huge cuddley bed. Ali had left out lots of little treats for us and lots of information about the walks and things to do in the area... We had some wonderful days out (helped by the treats and sandwich box that were left for us), and after some advice from Ali, we had a lovely wander up to the local pub one evening which is the most lovely old pub with a log fire.
We cannot wait to come back to Swallow barn, it was the most romantic place especially with the log burner in full swing. You will want for nothing at Swallow barn, it's a real treasure, we cannot recommend enough, it is beautiful!

“Five Star Cottage”
Reviewed 22 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Immaculate recently finished barn conversion retaining character with beams and slate flooring, all fixtures and finishes to high specification. The underfloor heating and log burner were very cosy as the nights started to get a bit colder. The attention to detail and visitor comfort is evident in every corner from the dressing gowns to the delightful choice of outside seating. Quiet rural setting yet surrounded by tourist attractions for all. We had a choice of more National Trust Properties than we could get around in our relaxing short break. Highly recommended.

“A wonderfully relaxed, comfortable, fun time was had by all”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Myself my husband and our energetic border collie wanted somewhere affordable, comfortable and dog friendly set in the countryside but within easy driving distance to the coast and interesting Somerset towns and villages. We hit the jackpot with Swallow Barn, the recently converted barn has been tastefully restored with all mod-cons including dishwasher and washer dryer all appliances, furniture and kitchen utensils are of a very high quality, This theme is repeated throughout, the bedroom with a huge comfortable bed with crisp white cotton bedding and ensuite bathroom with a bath and power shower. The careful attention to detail made for an extremely comfortable stay. The owners Couldn't do enough to ensure that our stay was a happy one, with walking and cycling maps and assistance in reading them, the loan of a couple of bikes if we wanted. We turned up late in the evening and was greeted at the gate by Ali, in the kitchen were pastries fresh crusty bead, butter and juice as well as tea coffee and sugar and milk. There was also a bottle of wine to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary.
We highly recommend Swallow barn and we are hoping to go back in the autumn to sample the log burner in action and underfloor heating.
