Reviewed 2 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Place was spotless and we loved all the little extras such as fresh bread, eggs and chocolates when we got there. We felt as if they'd gone above and beyond what you'd normally expect from a holiday rental.
I really can't fault it and Ali was really friendly and helpful!
We both want to return again :)

“A lovely little getaway!”
Reviewed 9 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We've just got back from the most lovely stay at Swallow Barn, the perfect place for a few relaxing days out in a lovely country setting. The barn itself is ideal, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, the bed was huge and in a lovely airy big room, with a shower and a big bath to chill out in! There's not a thing our hosts didn't think of... A roaring log fire lit on arrival, fresh milk, bread and home laid eggs! All of the little touches that made a great stay just perfect! Honestly everything you need is there, they really have gone out of their way to make it as comfortable and convenient as possible! Our dog also had a great time, she was able to run around outside and enjoy the country smells and we could relax knowing she couldn't escape! She loved curling up by the fire and was very grateful for the treats and blanket left out for her :) we couldn't have asked for more, we'll definitely be visiting again soon :)

“Wonderful relaxing break”
Reviewed 10 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed here for 2 nights in early February and wanted a high end property for a relaxing long weekend. We nearly thought about cancelling because of the flooding in the Somerset Levels where it is situated but after contacting Ali, the owner, were reassured that all was OK at the property.
We arrived to a very warm welcome from Ali and she showed us round the converted cattle shed. It has been renovated to a very high standard with very good facilities. It has all that you could want as well as some extra touches, fluffy dressing gowns, basic food supplies like tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, condiments and a lovely chocolate cake and boxes of chocolates! Very welcome indeed!
The bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely time. We visited Wells and the Clarks shopping village over the weekend and had dinner on Saturday night at The Devonshire Arms in Long Sutton which was lovely.
We will definitely be recommending Swallow Barn to our friends as it is such great value. Thanks again for a lovely weekend.

“Fantastic place to stay”
Reviewed 20 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We have just come home from Swallow Barn and it exceeded all expectations of a great place to stay. The barn is delightful, very comfortable, warm and cosy. The barn is beautifully furnished to a very high standard, from the lounge/diner/kitchen area and upstairs with a six foot bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. There is underfloor heating and a wood burner which was an added bonus. No expense has been spared on this barn. Ali, Gary, Matt, and Niamh made us so very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. We will come back and are recommending swallow Barn to family and friends. We love this area and are delighted to have found this gem.

“Absolutely cute, amazing, comfortable, and relaxing!”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

I came to this property with my girlfriend for her birthday and New Year 2013-2014, and we absolutely loved it, didn't want to go. The woodburner is amazing when its flared up and makes the barn very cosy aswell as the underfloor heating. There is plenty things to do, even if you wanna stay in and watch films. There's a lot to see if you go for walks, all the propertys around that area are huge - there was even one with a big swimming pool!!. Ali, the owner - was very helpful on our weekly stay, she said if there was anything we needed to go to her, if she was out and about she'd ask us if we needed anything, she gave us extra logs and kindling for the woodburner, and was on the door to welcome us there. We would like to return to this property in the future to come. Everything was there on our arrival such as tea, sugar, butter etc, its very cosy and we had cute nights in front of the fire and the television. I would highly recommend without a doubt, and I wouldn't suggest anymore than what there already is. In my opinion its a barn but like a 5* hotel! :D

“A little gem”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

What a wonderful stay we had in Swallow Barn. This gem in Low Ham was five star in the comfort stakes and with all mod cons including dish washer and a washer/dryer. The slate floor is beautiful and the underfloor heating kept the cottage toasty warm on a cold November night. The bedroom was larger than expected with a Queen size bed (huge), nice touches included the dressing gowns in the wardrobe and soap and shower gel in the bathroom. When we arrived at Swallow Barn we found that Ali had left tea, coffee, milk. bread, butter and biscuits so we could have a drink before setting off to Glastonbury Carnival. The attention to detail in all the fixtures and fittings makes Swallow Barn an ideal place to stay. As i said in the title, a little gem
