“Ideal location for our visit”
Reviewed 6 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Stayed for one week . Lovely cottage everything you need and very comfortable. Much more flexibility and space than staying in a guest house/b and b and excellent value too. Wifi much better than at home! Bed was genuinely very comfortable would rise to perfection if curtains had blackout linings.

“Delightful and well-appointed little cottage”
Reviewed 11 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

A small but generously spirited cottage - clearly inspired by Mary and Mark's (the owners) generosity. Garden was a delight and allowed us to have a lovely barbecue after a long day. Every need, at least that we had, that could be thought of was catered for from fresh milk, eggs and bread to matches and a designer bbq tool set!

“Great value, well equipped”
Reviewed 11 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A great little find in Somerset for when we recently visited friends in the county. The cottage has everything you'd need and a second cottage can be booked for larger groups (which we will do later in the year).

The well equipped kitchen is great, with lots of breakfast options and a well stocked fridge and larder.

One thing to note is the address - my sat nav and my brother-in-law's sat nav both list Knapp Lane but that is a different location 5 miles up the road on a very narrow country lane. Once you realise that it's not the right location you haven't got a mobile signal to check otherwise! The correct address was listed on an Audi and Land Rover sat nav as Knapps Lanes

“The perfect overnight bolthole with added extras”
Reviewed 7 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I booked No 2 Withy Cottage for an overnight stay. The cottage is exactly as portrayed on the website and has every amenity expected for a cottage rental.
The double bedroom was spacious with a good amount of storage space, if you were staying for a longer period & the double 'adult size' bunks in the room next door were perfect. The 'hotel quality' bedding as advertised, lived up to expectation.
The kitchen is very well equipped with a very good selection of utensils. The complimentary breakfast products were an added bonus, with a wide range of cereal as well as eggs- that were larger than your average egg and full of flavour!
Also an added bonus, were the other extras, such as the dressing robes in the bedrooms & the toiletries (shampoo, conditioner & shower gel in the shower as well as soap and moisturiser by the sink).
The outside patio area is ideal to sit and relax in private & quiet surroundings (weather permitting)- perfect for a BBQ.
All in all- a great hideaway, close to a number of local sights, pubs and eateries.

“Fantastic cottage, great value, wanted for nothing!”
Reviewed 22 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We rented both No 1 and No 2 Withy Cottages - one for my family and one for my sister's family, when we had a family wedding locally. We only stayed one night but wished we were there for the week! It was the perfect setup for us and our young kids and allowed us to be as flexible as we needed. The cottages are spotless, quiet, modern, comfortable and brilliantly kitted out - even had a store cupboard of useful food like bread, milk, eggs and cereal which was so helpful. Mary the owner lives nearby and even has her own beauty clinic on site. The kids loved the bunk beds in our cottage (No 2) and had cows in the field nearby to visit. There is also a garden area and outside seating. We did a beautiful walk on the Sunday and had a great local pub lunch. We'll come back and stay again for longer next time!

Liked best: Great shower, helpful food store, comfy bed, surrounding area.
Liked least: Hard to answer. Maybe if you were staying longer than we did you'd want some warm socks/slippers for the flagstone floors.

“Cosy cottage with every modern convenience”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Mary and Mark are very welcoming and provide a warm and welcoming, carefully considered holiday experience. It's obvious they have thought long and hard about what people away from home might want, and they've come up with numerous delightful answers, what many people in the guest book called (fairly) 'extra touches'. There's a lovely outside area too - which for No. 2 could be improved if table and chairs sat on flagstones, (as provided for No. 1) rather than gravel - but this is meant as a helpful suggestion, not a criticism. We have no criticisms. We enjoyed everything about the cottage. Top rating to Mary and Mark.
