“A very good restaurant in close proximity to Milan airport”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

I found the food and pricing to be right on target. The pizza was very good and the beer was great. The wait staff took excellent care to ensure quick quality service.
I would certainly visit again if I am in the area.

“What a Wonderful Surprise”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Like many of the other reviewers on here, we found out about this restaurant because we were staying down the street at the First Hotel (we had an early morning flight out of Malpensa). Upon seeing the reviews, we decided to give it a shot over the restaurant in the Hotel, and what a great decision we made.

You would never guess from the outside of the building how nice this place is on the inside. Everything looks brand new, very clean with a modern, trendy vibe to it. The wait staff is all young and energetic, and very friendly, customer-driven. And there were many locals eating while we were there, which is always a great sign, IMO.

We shared a calamari appetizer, a pasta dish, and a pizza, and all were great. Nothing was overly sophisticated, just very good local food. And you could tell all the ingredients were fresh. Those three plates plus a bottle of wine were about $60. It was the perfect meal to cap our trip, and one we will never forget...because...

And here's the reason I am writing this review before I write any others on the 10-day Italy-Greek Islands trip my wife and I just got back on--not wanting to leave our IPad and camera (which had 1500 pictures from our trip) in the hotel, we threw it in a bag and took it to the restaurant. The next morning, we panicked when we realized we had left the bag in the restaurant. With an early morning flight, we couldnt even go back to the restaurant to ask. Much to our incredible relief, surprise, and satisfaction, when we went to our hotel lobby to see what we could do, we found out the restaurant brought the bag over to the hotel. The staff of this restaurant quite literally saved the memories of our trip for us.

I cannot express enough gratitude for what they did...oh, and the food was damn good too!!

THANK YOU!!!

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

What a surprise! We walked over from the First Hotel to look at the menu and it looked ok so thought we would take a chance for our last dinner in Italy. The outside of the restaurant does not prepare you for the classy, modern and tasteful interior. Originally thinking we would have quick pizza we had a beautiful 2 course dinner; choosing the specialties of the house and we were not disappointed. This was one of the best meals we had in Italy (and there had been many!)

“You're probably staying at the First Hotel Malpensa. You should eat here.”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

If you had told me that, after one month in Italy, that the best meal of our entire trip would be at a small restaurant in a tiny town beside Malpensa airport I would have said no way. However, the food at the restaurant was of such good quality that it was EASILY the best meal we had during our trip (from Amalfi to Roma, Firenze to Milano). The hostess (also server) was very helpful and immediately told us about 7 different things the chef was making tonight that were not on the menu. All sounded delicious. So we split four things: Caprese salad, Pasta with seafood, Turbot filet with asparagus and roasted potatoes, and a chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. Each course was extremely well prepared, perfectly cooked, and exceptionally tasty. To be honest, every meal we had eaten in Italy to date (while certainly good) was nothing I could not cook as well myself. But this dinner was clearly prepared by a chef of quality, the flavours and execution were surprisingly good. We just loved it. At the prices were quite good (all this food plus 1/2 litre house red wine, 1L of water, and 1 espresso for less than 60 Euro total bill), and portion sizes were large! We split each course two ways, and even those portions were generous for each of us. The service was fast, the food arrived in a timely manner with beautiful presentation, and the staff were very helpful. If you are staying at the First Hotel Malpensa (well if you're reading this, I would almost bet my life you are!!) you really should eat here. I'm hoping our flight will be cancelled tomorrow so we can eat another dinner and try the other dishes.

“Great pizza, friendly staff”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

We ate here twice during our short stay at First Hotel, right next door.
The pizza at lunch was very good, as was the salad.
Dinner that evening also - both of us had pasta dishes which were very good.
Baby high chair available and staff were attentive and pleasant.
