the food was not fresh, the sea food soup was ammonia flavored, my garlic soup looked like vomit, the rabbit was swimming in oil. The chocolate mouse was angel delight, which is a bit much at 5 euros. food expensive.
service was good and view is amazing, so probably fine for just drinks

The Lake country is a very beautiful part of Spain. El Chorro and the Caminito del Rey are interesting and worth seeing as is the scenery coming and going. This restaurant is ideally located to take advantage of these views. However, pack a picnic lunch and stop at any one of the overlooks along the way and enjoy the views and the food. If you do eat at this restaurant, prepare yourself for that rare Spanish experience -- a bad meal. The service staff is nice but what they serve is not. However, we were on a bus with 30 people -- that could have been a factor. Nevertheless, the restaurant was not crowded. It looks like it could seat well over 120 people and there were a total of about 40 in the restaurant so I do not believe the group size was a factor.

We went on a weekday for lunch after visiting the dams. Served by a very cheerful waiter with beers and wine, followed by mixed tapas. Very tasty, we had sausage, stuffed vine leaf, stuffed pork, chicken, lamb, meat balls, and pat atlas fritas. Very large restaurant with terraces on two levels as well as and indoor area, and kiosk selling ice creams. Toilets very clean. Although a couple of coach tours came in this didn't affect the service at all.

Today we had a really good meal at El Kiosko, starting with anchovies in vinegar and a salad followed by ox tail and sirloin steak, washed down with their special sangria. Absolutely fantastic with beautiful views over the lake. We walked all along the river from Mirador to El Kisoko, which takes about 1.5 hours, so we were ready for our meal. The food was excellent, as was the service and the bill very reasonable.

We had a great meal here after visiting El Chorro during our holiday in October. The area is simply stunning as is the view over the lake from the terrace. Food, wine and service all excellent and as our waiter spoke no English it was a good chance to practice some Spanish! Would definitely eat here again
