My family and I enjoyed this museum. It was great opportunity to make history tangible and learn more about The British role in D-Day. Glad we took the time to check this museum out. The lady at the tourism desk was super friendly and informative about both of the museums that were available at this location. We had a mix of ages not just teens.

“Back to the Future”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

The American cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach, with its row upon row of crosses and lots of Magen Davids, more than I imagined, is a fitting resting place for the brave souls who gave their all for their country and the freedom of the world.
Acres of grass as smooth as a putting green, with beautiful flower beds, here and there, among the polished, white, marble crosses, a handful of appropriately discrete and tasteful monuments, and a small, white, circular chapel in the center. The gardeners were there when we were, cutting the already cut grass. I had the impression they were always there, dutifully tending to the graves. Hundreds of people walking among the crosses, some looking for names, and barely a sound. Then a low stone wall overlooking the now peaceful beach across a half a kilometer of natural trees and bushes with trails winding down to the beach. It's done right, a perfect setting for the brave men who died there, heroes all.

“Excellent museum”
Reviewed 2 June 2013

Another excellent museum. Many video clips with real people telling real stories, even Eisenhower, make everything here so credible. If anything, there is just too much to see and it is difficult to find a way that seems a logical route to go through without missing anything.

“Excellent service!”
Reviewed 19 May 2013 via mobile

We started our exploration of the Normandy landing sites here and met just the right person behind the counter. She told us all about what we should see, about the advantages of a Normandy pass, about the forthcoming "night of the museums" (free entrance) and gave us a great map we had not seen in any bookstore. Very helpful! As for the museum it self it is quite small and half of it is dedicated to the first air mail delivery from the US to Europe. The place it self is quite nice and since it is so small it does not take long to see it all. I would stop there again.
