“A wonderful Georgian townhouse in such a magical location.”
Reviewed 24 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

I unfortunately did meet the owner of this wonderful ancient building with its lovely
Georgian interior and stunning staircase, which will be corrected when I stay there
again very soon. Being one who has lived in period buildings for all of my life, once
my sister, her artist friend and I looked inside the front door, it realy felt like home.
This place oozes with character along with all of the necessary modern conveniences one could desire very tastefully catered for. When I managed to lock us all out, upon
contacting Judy, she had that situation accounted for and we were all back in within minutes. I had no desire to watch the TV during my stay as we were kept entertained watching the very busy ferry from the Kitchen window not to mention from the windows above. I watched the most amazing sunrise over windmill Hill which over- looks Portaferry, amidst the dawn chorus of sea birds, before closing the window and getting a few more winks. There was so much to see both old and new within minutes of Harbour view, before we ventured on the ferry.
Besides Strangford being such a beautiful place with the finest of cuisine within yards of the front door, the people were so warm and friendly with plenty of desire for a good chat.
My only regret was not having booked our stay for longer.

Beautiful house and garden, with stunning views of the Lough. Convenient central location with easy access to some beautiful trails. Overall I couldn't recommend it highly enough... didn't want to leave!

“Perfect location, lovely house”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Great place to stay, hope to return. Great for family. Space was very comfortable, super garden and right in the heat of the village so everything was easily accessible. Walking distance to Castleward too. Did get very noisy on a couple of nights as there was a fair on but no fault of the owner.

“Great House, wonderful location”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This Georgian house sits on the mouth of the Strangford Lough where the ferry comes in from Portaferry so it has great views and lots of action around the quay. The house is very comfortable, well decorated, clean and equipped with a good kitchen. There are two bathrooms which helps when there are four in your party. The house has character and charm and was a pleasure to stay in.

“Wonderful place for a relaxing break”
Reviewed 26 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We had a very enjoyable three night break in this very comfortable house. The house is full of character and in a good location for local bars and restaurants.. The views from the windows are spectacular and we couldn't believe how the time flew passed while we looked out over the lough and watched the ferry come and go.
