We enjoyed another stay at the wonderful Cuan. Once again we cannot sing its praises highly enough. This place is a little gem.

Stayed at the Cuan over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd March. This place is a must see, beautiful location and the surrounding unspoilt countryside was magnificent. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Food was fantastic and the craic was mighty. Lovely clean comfortable rooms. Can't faulty it in any way except for the boss forgetting her name badge (only joking Caroline) Will be back.

Many thanks for your wonderful (and witty) review!
Delighted to hear that you had a brilliant weekend - Strangford really is a VERY SPECIAL place, to say nothing of The Cuan. We look forward to seeing you again.

Great location and a short walk from the ferry. Ordered mussels, found out later they were off and had crab's claws which were unfortunately frozen and tasteless. However great scampi, haddock and chowder. This place has an old world charm and is comfortable. It is certainly popular with people of a certain age which was nice to see. Star of the show was the smoked haddock main course - excellent.

Dear accapitor
Many thanks for your review, as highlighted the smoked haddock is an excellent and very popular choice, it was a Gold award winning product at recent Great Taste Awards in London.
This month The Cuan was awarded 100% by the Taste of Ulster for our exceptional food product and service, this is the first time in their 22 years existence that 100% has been awarded!
We do hope you get another opportunity to visit The Cuan in your travels.
Regards
Caroline, Peter & Team

Stayed in the Cuan in Stangford over a weekend, was able to park right outside the doors.
Room we had was a double but on the small side, though this is not a complaint. It was very clean and tidy, thought the toilet was up against the window overlooking the village square (it did have opaque glass in).
The restaurant was very good, food selection good and service could not be faulted.
Prices were average for this quality of food.
Don't get distracted watching the cars loading and unloading from the the Ferry.

Dear GAXBOW
Delighted that you took the time to reflect on your holiday in The Cuan earlier in the year and give us such a glowing review. I hope you will find an opportunity to stay with us this year. We were elivated to 4 Star classification by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board in Nov 2011 but have decided to retain our 2011 tariffs for another year to allow our guests to celebrate with us!
Many thanks
