Ok so we left The Villa Feltrinelli last week feeling rested and a little poorer. It is definitely a special place on earth and you would struggle to find anywhere else so attentive, beautiful, full of wonderful antiques and a young team of staff who seem to anticipate your every wish and desire even before you have asked them.
This is our second visit so we pretty well knew what to expect. I did wonder if the second time might lose magic and the very special feel we experienced on our first visit. But my worries were soon forgotten. If you are looking to stay in a very special house that doesn't have rules about what time you want to eat and where then this is the place for you. Every day we ate delicious food over looking the lake. They do the laundry for you which is included in the price of your room and you also get to have complimentary mini bar in your room which is replenished daily. You are treated like a long lost friend who has been invited to stay in a house. This place has no signs or notice boards. You are free to sit in which ever part of the house takes your fancy.
Perhaps the only disadvantage is that it isn't really the sort of place to stay when there is a large party. When we arrived there was around about 16 people including young children and this spoilt it for us. Fortunately they left a few days later and we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the villa relatively until disturbed.

Room Tip: All the rooms are special in their own way

Everything is perfect! Simply perfect! From the moment you arrived till the time you are about to leave the Villa's personnel make you feel very special and very long awaited. It's a unique and unforgettable experience in hospitality and service, not to mention the view and the weather;-)

Beautifully appointed rooms, decorated to the highest standard beckon guests to stay in while the immaculately gravelled promenade on the lakefront calls one outside. With a heated swimming pool, the glorious Lake Garda and an immaculate croquet lawn calling us to leave our comfy reclining chairs in the shade, there is, I doubt, a more peaceful place on this special lake. The service is exceptional. One's every thought is somehow known to the staff and pre-empted every instance! One only has to imagine a coffee by the lakeside and voila! it's there! Truly special in every way. I cannot imagine anyone not falling in love with this magnificence!

Room Tip: I'm fairly certain one can't go wrong with any of the rooms because of the scenery but a bal...

Hands down, best hotel I've ever stayed at! Everything was PERFECT. Beautiful rooms, impeccable service, amazing food, lots of privacy. There are so many little things that they just got right - from the one touch music button (with great selections), to the little snacks they gave us every evening, to the ultra friendly staff who helped us with everything. Best of all, they even do your laundry for you - FOR FREE. A total god send when travelling with 3 small children. Nothing was too difficult for them. I cannot wait to return!

After reading so many fabulous things about this hotel, was a little concerned if it could live up to my expectations, but it did!
Excellent service starts with greetings at the door upon arrival and never stops. Your table is always waiting means that quite literally here, and the food is delicious. Rooms in the main hiding are large and comfortably charming without being kitschy.
and provide views of perhaps the best part...the grounds and the lake which are extraordinary. It's expensive but it is a special place.

This is truly wonderful , the most amazing setting , fantastic food and you will definitely want to go back. The staff are lovely and are always around if you need anything and can arrange almost anyhting from what i saw .you can eat where and when you want and I had the most amazing truffle pasta , and vegetarian taster menu . The taster menu is a must along with the fine wines and cocktails by the waters edge accompanied with fabulous canapés. The rooms are beautiful , I stayed in the junior suite in casa rustica which was fabulous , light and airy named pastore which had great views of the lake and is by the lemon groves . The room is decorated with the finest linen and antiques with beautiful old photos of Churchill painting under the magnolia tree , the place has an amazing history and the books in the villa are great to look through to see how it has been transformed . It's expensive but well worth it as their is nowhere else like it . Wish I was back there now .

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful as we did have a look in the villa and the photos don't do them just...
