Attilio unfortunately passed away a year or so ago. His wife Grazia and sons Claudio and Roberto assist her with keeping La Ca' di Pochy alive. (Pochy is the dialect and nickname in the viallage for the wonderful characte that was Attilio).

I have known the Pozzani family from a young age. I knew the hotel when it was run by Maria Lavo and her two sisters. Maria being Attilio's mother. I have known Moniga for 50 years! I knew Attilio for some 35 of those.

I knew it when it was one hotel, and then when it was two. I know it with eyes closed. I am in the UK at present, and I can smell the air at the Du Lac, I can hear the bustle, I can sense that it lives.

I have known it for 25 years under Attilio's guidance.

A pensione, a home, a meuble, a hotel, but always a place with a welcome smile and a warm heart. Grazia is a good cook, Attilio was a master of understated hospitality. These guys make you feel like part of the family. In my case they are,not true family but the closest of friends. In every other guest's case that I am aware of, they have always provided hospitality, and also a Gropello (Red) and Chiarreto from Gianni (Attilio's now deceased father) that brings you back for more.

Viva Pozzani, Viva Valenti (Grazia), Viva Hotel du Lac.

If you are in the Valtenesi drop in!

On Lake Garda, in the small quaint town of Moniga, sits a beautiful hotel up on a hill overlooking the lake. Hotel Du Lac, owned by Attilio Possani and his wife Grazia, is a place like nowhere I've been before. The hospitality is GENUINE, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is "magnifico". Where else can you go and be surrounded with people who know how to live and enjoy life.

Room tip: Ovviamente le camere che si affacciano sul lago hanno la vista migliore ma tutte sono comode e silenziose
