Absolutely stunning views of Lake Como from rooms we stayed in as well as yard where pool and Jacuzzi are located. Wi-Fi connection in our part of the hotel/room was quite weak and you have to pay additional money for the Jacuzzi, but those are very minor things. If you're driving and not used to Italian roads the road to hotel can be, should I say "challenging"? Overall, definitely recommend!

This was truly a wonderful experience for us - the view alone is worth the stay, but with a pool, a patio, and very friendly staff this place is a little bit of heaven above Como. Yes, the rooms are a bit small, but book one on the lakeside of the hotel. The owner will pick you up at the top of the funicular, so don't be afraid to call him to do just that. We would definitely stay here again!

We got there it was raining, and we hated that we had to carry our own bags up a flight of stairs.

the rooms were cold (temperature and design) very hospital like. the bathroom is anything but private, not to mention the rooms are NOT sound proof!!

but when the rain cleared, the view was spectacular and made the climb up mountain worth it.

the indoor pool was nice as well, and very private considering it was raining. and there was not much people.

Room Tip: choose one with a balcony, there is only two or four.

stayed here as a stopover. The drive up the hillside to reach the hotel was very windy, but as a driving enthusiast, I found this enjoyable. (Recommend driving up as it is a well laid tarmac road surface) the owner/host was very welcoming and even gave us a lift to the cable car junction later in the evening.

the jacuzzi carries a small fee to use but the pool is a nice place to relax with stunning views.. breakfast was simple (continental) but the owner went out of his way to accommodate our requests.

A good stay all round, and I would recommend this hotel for anyone interested in natural beauty based on the views. Best not as a stopover, but to spend at least 3 nights there.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. We booked a triple room (2 adults and a child), but it seemed to be a king-sized bed with a cot rolled in at the end of the king bed. It was a bit small and difficult to walk around with our suitcases. We also booked a lake view, but our view was partially obstructed due to a house that sits in front of the property. We were also a bit disappointed that the free Wi Fi did not work in our room. My mother-in-law whose room was three rooms down the hall got Wi Fi just fine in her room. And when we were in her room or the common area of the hotel, our Wi Fi worked fine as well. There was no A/C, either. But overall, the room worked for what we needed.

The property itself is wonderful. The view off the back patio of the property was spectacular! And the pool was the perfect size for our 8-year-old to enjoy. We were within walking distance to two restaurants, which was convenient.

The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle to the funicular, which takes you down to the Lake Como region. Trust me - if you are not used to driving down curvy, narrow mountain roads, then you will want to take advantage of the shuttle and use the funicular. There are set times for the shuttle, but you can arrange for a different time for 10 Euro. The owner runs the shuttle and made special accommodations to take us down with him on his trip to pick people up from the funicular. We very much appreciated that. The owner and most of the staff speaks English well, which we found helpful.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a very cute family-run place with amazing views.

Room Tip: The WiFi does not work in room 110. The room also has an obstructed view of the lake.

Stayed at the Paradiso Sul Lago as part of a road trip across the north of Italy celebrating the good lady's birthday and seriously, I don't think either of us will encounter a more breathtaking view than the one from the hotel's terrace looking out over Lake Como.

The hosts Andrea and Paola make you feel incredibly welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The 3* rating is probably about right as this is essentially a no-frills B&B which is clean, well-run, serving a decent breakfast but the big draw, without doubt, is the view.

The location really is in the middle of nowhere and, if you did like we did and drove to the hotel, you need to have your wits about you and be prepared for the hair-raising journey from Como town up to the hotel!! The fact that, for the most part, the road is extremely narrow (even in a Fiat 500!!) and you have no idea what's coming round the numerous blind bends you have the pleasure of encountering makes this one journey where you shouldn't be in a rush to get to your destination!

A shuttle bus services the short journey to and from the funicular, approximately 5 minutes away, where you can enjoy further stunning views both from the top and on the journey down. We decided to stay out in Como town for dinner but it was no trouble for the hotel to pick us up late evening and take us back (that is unless you fancy a 20-minute walk uphill in the dark!!).

Would have no hesitation in returning if just to sit on the hotel's terrace with my good lady and a glass of Prosecco, watching the sun go down over Lake Como. A truly memorable sight to behold.

A little off the beaten path, but the view was well worth it. Make sure you get to the light house, and climb to the top. It can't be beat. You will have to travel down the mountain for a good meal, but again, worth it to experience the view of the lake.

Room Tip: I didn't pay extra for a lake view room, and I didn't mind, the patio was large enough for m...
