I'm putting this review in the Albereta section as there is no section yet for the new restaurant of l'Albereta (the former 3 Michelin Star chef Gualtiero Marchesi left after 20 years of exceptional service). I took friends for dinner to Leone Felice and we had a memorable dinner. We started with the aperitif on the terrace and delicious amuse-bouche. We then had dinner. We opted for "a la carte" and what a delightful evening. A special mention for Burrata cheese tortelli and caviar as well as the Beetroot dumplings, Fatulì cheese (what a delicious creativity) and the Pigeon “in casserole” with cherries !!! The Maitre-Sommelier Ermes was really nice and we had 2 great bottles of wine. We love the atmosphere. I wish this newly opened restaurant a great success !!

Spent 2 nights here. Got free upgrade to suite as offered room in new section did not provide much garden views as promised. Suite was gorgeous. Service was excellent. However wifi was not up to standard for such a hotel. Only bistro open at present and preferred to eat in surrounding towns where there are many excellent choices.

Secluded paradise…The L’Albereta Relais & Chateaux is one of those off-the-beaten path experiences that travelers delight in discovering. My husband David and I are luxury Italian travel planners with a true passion for extraordinary hotels with elegance and splendor. The Chateaux, a former retreat for local nobility is centrally located in Lombardy, an ideal starting point for discoveries beyond the traditional tourist routes. This majestic hotel is tucked away on the gently rolling hills of Franciacorta Vineyards, which arguably produces the finest European sparkling wine outside Champagne. Views include the countryside, the Alps, and Lake Iseo. Beauty greets and follows you at every turn. Your senses will be further indulged at the exquisite shops, spa, and mouthwatering restaurant. At the Chateaux every day provides total privacy to unwind and enjoy the best Italy has to offer.

Hidden away in the countryside on. small back road this hotel is worth finding. An old magnificent Villa covered in creepers and surrounded by every shade of green in trees, shrubs bushes and lovely gardens. The instant we arrived there was a warm feel to the building with old style intertwined with modern art pieces and tasteful and pretty murals throughout.

We had a lovely lake tower suite with a nice sized room with interesting ceilings and wardrobes as we were high in the roof (still plenty of height as partner 6 foot had no trouble) a good sized balcony overlooking the valley, a lovely small sitting room/ study space and spacious bathroom with spa bath.

Small, writing desk but if you are here work is far from your mind so not a worry. Beautiful pastel decor, wood and marble and walls decorated with lovely murals and Italian furniture - elaborate but not over the top.

The hotel is pretty when it rains and splendid when the sun comes out with windows and spaces catching the sunshine and warmth. The hotel has Lots of small sitting areas both inside and on hidden verandahas surrounded by greenery and cute balconies so you can be on your own. It's also allows dogs which is so nice to see.

Service is exceptionally police, professional, discreet and friendly. One outstanding point was our room was serviced on the day we had a late checkout which we much appreciated. Valet parking easy and efficient.

It's a spa hotel so you'll see people wandering in biathrobes - clearly a perfect place to feel comfy if you are a spa lover but odd if you have that British reserve and sense of propriety around dress like me!

Restaurant was not avaiable due to renovation and due to reopen in a week but hotel reccomendation close by was excellent. Be aware there are lifts but plenty of stairs to negotiate up and down if you have mobility problems.

Bikes avaiable for seeing the local area and plenty of reccomendations for local shopping and sights provided in room.

We had a light lunch in library bar paired with a wine tasting of three local wines and this was a highlight of our trip to Italy in part due to excellent friendly warm service.

This would be top of our list to visit again and is highly reccomended for beauty and value.

Room Tip: The tower suite has a lovely valley view.

This hotel is situated in a lovely, secluded spot nestled among vineyards producing most excellent wine! A perfect haven for R & R and looking after ones health, too! The Spa has an extensive 'menu' and offers Pilates, Yoga and guided walks. Sadly, the restaurant is now closed but the dining services available are fine. And there are local restaurants one can easily get to. The staff are very, very helpful, polite and accommodating. We were lucky enough to stay in the Buena Vista Suite and enjoyed stunning views from our balcony, a comfy living room and a very spacious bedroom. Order bubbly in your room and enjoy a selection of delectable complimentary nibbles!

Room Tip: The Buena Vista Suite is lovely!

Found it in the Relais&Chateax guide , and though this would be a guarantee , definitely wrong .

I took my in laws for a week, trying to make a good impression and thought 5 would do it , but just after a few days I regretted my decision.

We found out the air conditioning system doesn't work and the place was extremely hot . When mentioned to the reception , I received just excuses from the staff, blaming the air conditioning central pump mechanism ( I don't even know what that means ) and the owners of the hotel for not caring anymore about the propriety . The attitude was very impolite and the problem wasn't solved.

THEY DONT HAVE A RESTAURANT ANYMORE . The just have a little "bistro" which has 5-6 plates and that's it . Extremely overpriced , and the service is terrible , in a five stars hotel I had to stand up my self every time I wanted my champagne to get served. There were only 3 tables occupied and we had to wait 35 min for desert and coffee. The waiters are unprepared and extremely rude , perhaps they fit in a pizzeria , but definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Albereta is EXTREMELY OVERPRICES and should reconsider being a 5 star hotel , THEY DESERVE 3 STARS at most .

I will NEVER recommended it again

Went to L'Albereta with my girlfriend for the weekend and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Our room was beautiful with a nice balcony. The bathroom wasn't exceptional but otherwise it was great. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. It was very cool getting to see the chefs in the kitchen and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed a full round of treatments at the spa which was wonderful. The bar was a lot of fun and the staff was great. All in all one of the better hotels I've ever been to. Highly recommended.
