I had read from other reviews and blogs that we should get the Duplex since this was nearer to the beach. While it really was nearer to the beach than the rooms in the main building, you have to compensate for the sorry state of the rooms - from the paint job, no shower and no working flush. One unit is supposedly good for 4 but can easily take 6 or 7 since it was spacious (around 40 sqm). The real clincher is the price (at P1600 per room).

The staff were very friendly and accommodating though.

Room Tip: Bring insect repellent. The mosquitoes are huge.

We stayed in this hotel after biking the island of Siquijor. The staff were so kind to keep our bikes in the conference room. Rooms were basic but clean. There is a restaurant within the compound and food was great! Note though that they don't have brewed coffee and restaurant opens at 7:30 Am. The hotel was better than the bungalows near the beach. Staff can also arrange for motorbikes or tricycles for the island tour or transport to the pier.

The place would have been great if only the resort accommodations have been maintained. We went there on a weekday which was a plus because we understand that the place is jampacked by locals on weekends. Aside from a few picknickers and a couple of foreigners, it felt like we had the beach all to ourselves.

My daughter wanted to use the pool but advised her not to go in as it looked like it has never been filtered or cleaned.

They have a restaurant which serves meals. Better buy your provisions in town as the place is really isolated. Negotiate with the transport that brought you there to pick you up as it is a long way to the main road.

The place is almost on the other side of the island from the siquijor port. So, to see the entire island, ask the driver to get you there one way and back to the port the other way.

Room Tip: there are duplexes near the beach and the agripino hotel on top of the hill which is quite a long wa...

this review is for the hotel only, not the resort. altho this is a government-owned hotel, i can say that it's generally clean and room spacious enough for a standard type. , altho some rooms have problems specially leaking aircon. over-all sleeping quality is good.altho our room is overlooking the sea the view is blocked by trees. The restaurant in the hotel was transferred to the beach front so you have to take your meals by going down a stair leading to the beach where the restaurant is located.anyway that's a good exercise in the morning.I love the secluded location of the hotel,it's about 1.8 km away from the highway.i suggested to the hotel staff that they provide a bicycle rental so the guests can take bicycle if they wish to visit the town proper of Maria. We were the only one checking in the hotel the time we were there, and it's a very nice experience.Transport going there is P700.00

Nothing to look forward in this resort, We stayed in their bungalows, which is moldy because of airconditioning leakage inside the room itself and bathroom not draining properly. The wooden floor has been sipping all the flooding water. You can not even breathe properly inside the room, its either everything is dirty or broken in this room. This is one hotel that I would really like to set fire on so that they can rebuild it again. Pillows has almost nothing on it, should have been thrown away. So far, this is one of the worst hotel I have been too.

Beach wise, rocky and full of broken corals, but it has some nice fish which u can also see in some of the beaches around the area in siquijor.

This hotel is owned by the government of Siquijor. With that said, don't expect anything too much.

Salagdoong Beach and Hotel Agripino is located about an hour away from the Siquijor port. Larena port is a little closer to Hotel Agripino, but there are fewer trips there. The hotel offers pick-up for Php1000, which I though was a little too much for 2 people. We went to the hotel by getting a tricycle from the port. It cost us Php700. We still thought it was too much, but we didn't have any other more reasonable choice. If you're going with a group, it would be better to ask the hotel to pick you up; it will be more comfortable and cheaper when split with the group.

The hotel rooms are cheap, but are unkempt - old building, old bed and bedding, broken cabinet, dusty floor. We stayed in a Superior room which has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Aside from the beds, there was a broken cabinet, a side table and a chair. They provided towels. The restroom has a shower and heater.

They have a restaurant out by the beach, which is nice. the food is so so, but reasonable. The pool also has a nice view of the beach.

The beach is a short walk from the hotel. It is secluded. There were several times we were the only ones in the beach. The water was not clear when we were there, because it was overcast most of the time. The sand was a little rocky. During the weekends, people from other provinces came by. They can be loud - each group brings their own sound system and there came a point when there was an unspoken battle for who has the loudest speakers. Good thing that the hotel is up on a hill, so the crowd and their speakers are not heard from the rooms.

I probably wouldn't be going back to this hotel/resort. Transportation was limited, so the whole 3 days we just stayed at the resort. That's the thing with undeveloped places, the accommodations and food are cheap, but transportation is difficult/limited. Siquijor is beautiful though. If you like nature and the beach, it's the place to go. I hope there's better transportation and more choices of resorts in the future.
