We stayed here for 9 lovely days and nights. The hotel is in a fabulous position nestled in to the mountains in the village of Verchaix. The views from the hotel - terrace, rooms or hot tub were lovely.
The rooms are clean and fresh with comfortable beds and new bathrooms.
We used the hotel as a base for mountain biking - the chair lifts at Samoens and Morrillon are a quick ride away.
The hotel restaurant serves great dinners - cheese fondues and a steak flambé are a speciality of the restaurant.
Phil and Louise make you feel very at 'home' in their hotel and are supported by the caring and attentive Rose and Kate.
The ski room makes an ideal base for bikes! I am sure this would make a great ski base too!
We highly recommend this hotel it is fantastic perfect in every way!

Thanks Tim for your lovely comments, we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay here and all the mountain biking and rafting adventures, hope Lucy's bumps and bruises have healed! Maybe we can persuade you to give the skiing a go!

Absolutely as described by other reviewers.
We were only able to stay for a summer week-end this time but can't wait to go back next year.
Louise went the extra mile by providing delicious gluten free cup cakes for a birthday tea, served on the sunny terrace surrounded by flowers and beautiful views of the valley with Mont Blanc in the distance.
Phil, Louise and Rose made us feel so welcome. If you love the mountains winter or summer, this is THE place to stay.

We have stayed at the hotel three times now and each time has been as good, if not better than the last! Selfishly, I dont really want to share this hidden gem, but it is too good not to ....

The bedrooms are immaculate with crisp white sheets and sparkling bathrooms and a view to die for, but it is the food that sets this place apart! Our sixteen year old son was heard to say on the first evening, "the food is heavenly" ( not a word one would normally associate with a teenager, especially a boy at that!) but he is absolutely correct, it is out of this world.

Phil and Louise ( the owners) and their hand picked staff, could not be, or do, anthing more to make you feel at home. We chose to go back there this year for my 50th birthday and it was WONDERFUL!!! The skiing within the Grand Massiff is vast and a welcome change from the well trodden runs at Les Gets and Morzine. This is a special hotel located in an area that is a well kept secret ....for now. We would definitely recommend this hotel and resort.

Room Tip: Ask for a view over Samoens you wont be disappointed - what a way to start the day!

We travelled in a group of nine (two families) for an Easter ski trip- found this hotel online & really glad we did! Everything was perfect - food, accommodation and location. Spacious boot room complete with snooker table, power showers & huge hot tub on terrace overlooking the valley - most welcome after day on the slopes. Bedrooms were spacious with lots of storage and kept really clean - nice to have a bath (rather than just shower) on a ski holiday. The meals were delicious and our sole veggie very well catered for. The yummy cakes and hot chocolate for afternoon tea were great too. Hosts Phil and Louise, and the lovely Kiwi staff Miriam & Danni made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The fire display on the Savoyard night was a treat! Only negative was outwith their control - tearing my cruciate ligament on our 2nd last day! Even then the staff were on hand with tea & sympathy, ice packs, even loan of a walking stick! Will definitely recommend to others and would love to go back..

We really enjoyed our trip to this hotel. The service and food were excellent and so was the skiing. I just wish someone would make me such good food at home! Thanks to all the staff for making it a great holiday.
