“Simply wonderful”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Karen and I have been travelling to Greece, its islands and Cyprus for 24 years and I can honestly say this is the best hotel we have stayed in. From the moment you arrive at the door and are met by Zephi and the gang with her cold drink "from some plant" and biscuits to the moment you leave where they personally see you off you feel they make it their mission to give you a fabulous holiday.
The hotel is 60 or so paces from the beach, the grounds are immaculately kept, and there are freshly laundered towels on every sunbed every morning.
The breakfasts are served buffet style and there is everything from eggs, bacon, sausages, muesli, cereal, fruit cocktail, yoghurt, tea coffee and orange juice.
Theo behind the bar and the rest of the gang are wonderful hosts and we just loved it. Room wise we were in a 1 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor but speaking to other guests there is not a bad room in the place. The rooms are immaculately clean and has free air con.
The place is relaxation itself with friendly, attentive, helpful staff a wonderful quiet setting and I would recommend it to anybody. Thanks Zephi and the crew for making Kefalonia 2014 a holiday to remember.

Just amazing place to be for vacations, friendly stuff, great greek kitchen and not even half minute from the beach. The room from the beginning till the end was nice and clean and also reception really helpful with us. We will visit again next summer for sure!

Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks break at the Melidron Hotel in Skala. Would highly recommend this hotel it ticks every box for me. Clean well equipped rooms. Excellent food (including fresh fruit for breakfast). Peaceful and relaxing pool area with good sun beds and seating areas but most of all the welcome and service you receive from Zefie, Theo and everyone is second to none. Will certainly be returning.

This hotel is a hidden Jewel, cleanliness , comfort, Pool area and beds, close to main areas but also quite.
And the friendly staff ,Zefie ,Theo , and Hero the crazy cook could not do enough for us including
Giving us their family receipt for Feta cheese.
It only took us minutes to settle in as apposed to days.
Will definitely be booking again when visiting next.
We stayed in the very large family room A24 at the top and back of hotel with 2 balconies and probably
The best views of countryside and sea

Room Tip: From talking to other people any room would be a good choice Although they may not have a sea view

We couldn't fault this lovely hotel. Room was spacious, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Lovely view over the gardens from balcony. Breakfast varied and plentiful including eggs and bacon. Lovely infinity type pool, sun beds and parasols and clean towels on them every day. Free air conditioning. Pool bar which did lovely snacks and drinks, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Staff couldn't do enough for you and were so friendly. Beach just two minutes away. This hotel made it a perfect holiday and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Room Tip: We had second floor room overlooking the garden. Perfect for privacy and quietness.

This is as close to perfection as you are likely to get from a holiday. Skala itself is beautiful and The Melidron Hotel was simply amazing. Immaculate, spacious and the decor was very pleasing on the eye. The rooms were large and very well equiped. We had a balcony overlooking the main entrance whereby we were able to appreciate both sea and mountain views. We spent two glorious weeks here in May 2014 and we cannot praise the Melidron enough. Excellent value for money. But what really made our stay so wonderful was the level of service the staff afforded us. We simply cannot praise Zeffi and Theo enough. So welcoming, so warm and genuine with only our best interests at heart, thus ensuring we had the most wonderful time. The other members of staff were equally as warm and friendly and really did make us feel like old friends which is a wonderful quality. We spent many an evening back at the Melidron enjoying BBQ's and a 'Greek night' and chatting with the other guests, all of who shared our opinion that The Melidron and all the staff within were totally amazing. We are now looking at a return visit in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: All rooms are so much better than the average hotel room so you won't be disappointed

Simply the best!!
Best hotel I have stayed in in Greece in over 30 years, if I could award it 6* I would give it 6.5.
Spotlessly clean, lovely room, beautiful views, and most of all peace and quiet.
We stayed from 3-17 june and could not have wished for anything better {so good we have booked for same 2 weeks next year, an all time first!!}.
Modern accommodation with real traditional Greek hospitality, what more could you want.
Short stroll into village for evening meals, but don't miss the bbq nights at the hotel as very good value and good fun.
Zephi, Theo, Roula + Cremina superb hosts, can't wait tom see you all next year

Room Tip: Not telling as want same one next year ha ha
