We booked this holiday with Thomson (Skytours), we were transferred both ways by taxi about 1 hr.
Theodora studios are owned by Captain Vangelis http://holidays-in-kefalonia.gr/blog/in-skala/studios-kefalonia/ . The Apt. block is in a quiet area about 5 mins. walk to the centre of Skala, a supermarket just around the corner, and consists of 10 Apts/studios. The room was spotlessly clean and equipped with basic self catering eqpt. We did not use this as we ate out every day as the prices are very reasonable, we usually had breakfast and dinner at the Kaliva Restaurant in a side street opposite the church, Full English €5, and a good selection for dinner. We had unrestricted use of the pool in the adjacent Ocean View Hotel which also had a bar and catered for breakfast. The A/C costs €4 per day, there is one English TV Channel BBC World, WiFi is also available from Theodora and Ocean View, most bars and restaurants in Skala also have free WiFi. On our last day we were allowed to stay in our room until it was needed for cleaning at 14.00 hrs and the Capt. said that in future if we needed it longer it would only cost €10 to pay for the cleaner to come back. Skala is a small resort with everything a holidaymaker needs, but not overrun, very relaxing. We went to BB's bar (bottom of the main St. on the right) most evenings where the service is excellent, they serve Guiness and John Smiths, I can recommend a rum coktail called "Zombie" ask Vicky for an "extra stark" one (she is trying to learn German). We also had an island boat trip and the Capt. gave us a substantial residents discount. We would definitely be going back to the Theodora in the future, The Capt and his wife were excellent hosts.
