“3rd time of staying and our love affair with the place continues!”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

Ok. Let's be realistic for a second. Es Vive is not perfect. I haven't seen inside a suite but their other rooms are small, and fairly unexciting. BUT. Do you come to Ibiza to spend time in your room..? hell no! As per our previous visits, we actually spent more time at the hotel itself than intended. The food is fabulous. The drinks are fabulous. The pool and terrace area are fabulous (if lacking a breeze in july!). The tunes played by DJ's around the pool each afternoon... fabulous! We met some great people, made some good friends and had an immense time. But I need to tell you what makes this place really special... it's the staff! I have no idea what it's like to really work there of course, but they give the impression they are a big family and really love it! Particularly Sarah on reception/front of house, and Alex and Norma serving around the pool. Seriously, if you like to be made to feel special and as though spending your hard earned cash with them is actually appreciated, you NEED to stay at Es Vive! I've looked at other hotels in the area... (Es Vive is actually quite competitive but don't tell them, I don't want to pay anymore!) and there are some great choices, but I can't see any of them being as friendly and welcoming.

If a huge room with loads of hotel facilities are important to you, then this isn't the place for you. If you want a friendly, intimate place to stay, where you meet some really nice people and have a great time... then stay here! Oh, and given that the taxi's seemed IMPOSSIBLE to get this year, it's within walking distance of the beach, Ushuaia, Space etc

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Es Vive and I doubt I'd ever stay anywhere else in Ibiza now. We got married last year in Ibiza and know the island pretty well and have stayed at a fair few hotels but this definitely ticks all the boxes. Firstly I have to say just how amazing the staff are, Sarah, Alex, Scott just to name a few are all so lovely and genuinely friendly and helpful. I don't think I've ever had such good service anywhere else I've been in the world and I've done a lot of travelling! We actually went to Ibiza a few weeks ago last minute so we couldn't get into Es Vive as it was fully booked but we went everyday for lunch and all the staff remembered us from last time, its that personal service which makes Es Vive stand out from the crowd.

The location is great too, I really like Figueratas beach, its fairly quiet and a nice respite from beaches like Playa den Bossa etc but is close enough to there if you want something more lively. You can also walk to Ibiza Town from Es Vive, which is helpful too. The food, drink, pool and general vibe of the place is incredible, I couldn't recommend it enough. Oh and the roof terrace is cool too, great views over Ibiza Town and gets the sun till it goes down! Well done to the team at Es Vive for getting it SO RIGHT!!! Looking forward to my next stay there!

Room Tip: go for the superior room as they are much bigger

3rd time staying here and 3rd time loving it! Originally came as a couple but now go back with 6 other friend's and we all love it. Jason has got a fabulous, friendly team there who can not do enough for you. The hotel is cool and trendy but (thankfully!) you don't have to be to stay there ;) Everyone always mixes together and new friends are made. Recommended for adults only - poolside conversations about what happened last night are probably best kept from younger ears!!! The hotel is ideally situated for all the bars and clubs - Ushuaia, Bora Bora, Space etc 10-15 min walk along the beach; Ibiza Town approx 20 min walk although hotel does provide transport at taxi prices for convenience. The hotel has an amazing roof top terrace open from 4pm - perfect for a spot of sunbathing or a cheeky cocktail before heading out. Rooms have Elemis toiletries and a hairdryer and towels are provided for poolside. Great restaurant for poolside snacks or an evening meal and breakfast is amazing! What more could you want?!

location
the hotel is 10-15min ride by taxi costing around 10 euros its a 10-15min walk to bora bora ,space, ushawia, sands club and 20 mins to the old town with the likes of pacha, great bars and resturants. the hotel is in a nice quiet location so great for relaxtion.
hotel
so clean friendly staff are amazing a real credit to jason and the rest of the owners the rooms are a decent size and the view on the roof terrace is out of the world with a bar and beds up there. there is a poolside dj every day from 1pm to 5om who plays great relaxed house vibes.

Stayed here for a week July 2013. Although we booked a standard room it was very small so Jason one of the owners moved us to a larger room. We could not fault a thing after that. Great service and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, especially Adrian who was very knowledgable about the island. We have been coming the Ibiza for over 30 years but there is always something new to learn each year. Yes, the standard rooms are very small but this hotel was a fomer hostel which has been refurbished to a high standard. Good location too. Ibiza is expensive but compared to higher end hotels which don't meet the standard, Es Vive is good value. Mostly 30 something's but we definitely did not feel out of place. We will be back.

Room Tip: Pay a bit more for a larger room with terrace /balcony

First trip to Ibiza and had Es Vive recommended by friends.

Found it to be a perfect spot with a relaxed atmosphere, nice pool area, a service minded staff.

Hanging poolside is perfect in order to soak up energy for late Ibiza nights - and the rooftop bar with its great view and "lounge mattresses" is a gem.

This is a spot for couples, singles and group of friends who are open for a good time - not a family hotel.

Es Vive will certainly be where I am staying the next time I am going to Ibiza! :-)

First time to Ibiza and was recommended this hotel by friends. In first impression the hotel was beautiful - white, clean and modern. Check in was easy and simple and the staff were great with suggestions of restaurants and organising cabs etc. the rooms were nicely air conditioned, clean and comfortable. The daily cleaning was a bit inconsistent with rehanging of old towels, refills of only some toiletris and cups weren't rinsed so well. Otherwise, we had a great four night stay and likely to come back again. This side of the island is a lot nicer and away from touristy and sometimes trashy side of town.
