Just returned from 10 nights at Theo's what a great hotel this is, what it lacks in luxury far makes up for in charm and character! You feel relaxed from the moment you arrive and Theo and Eleoner make you very welcome. The views are spectacular and beautiful sunsets. The hotel is exceptionally clean we also had bedding changed every other day along with towels. Breakfast is simple with fantastic Greek yoghurt and the bread is delicious plus a brownie point for having lurpak butter. The food in the evening is good to and you won't find a better place with regard to view and sunset. Beach and resort about a 5/10 min stroll whereupon will find other taverna's. Agios Georgios is a sleepy laid back resort a little tired in Parts but still lovely no good for those wanting bars, karaoke and night clubs but if you want a total recharge then this is the place. If I was to be picky the only negative would be the hand showers but you get used to it, would recommend a car if you want to be out and about as busses are not frequent and only take you to Pagu and corfu town but you can walk to lots of neighbouring resorts if that's your thing. I can see why this hotel has lots of returners as it's magical. Oh and not forgetting Lisa at the pool bar she is amazing as is all the staff.

Room Tip: All same but ask for room facing front of hotel as gets morning sun send evening therefore rooms are cooler, all are very quiet though.

Don’t get me wrong this was a great holiday/hotel for the price and I expect my rating will have little impact on the hotels overall score. The hotel is very popular and has many return visitors (about 75% of customers according to Theo). It has a very friendly atmosphere and is well run by Theo and Elena who are very helpful (as are all the staff). The location, up in the hills overlooking the bay, is great if you don’t mind walking and the many walks are wonderful. The swimming pool is great. The restaurant serves lovely food and has great views/sunsets. The hotel has about 30 rooms 3 of which are on the back and these have no views. The many return guests seem (naturally?) to be first in the queue for the front rooms which have lovely views from their balconies so, beware, if you’re a first time visitor your chances of one of the better rooms is 50/50 at best. It was our first time and we had a back room – which in its self was just about adequate; being very basic (even by Greek standards), very small and needing some TLC. We did have a double bed which was reasonably comfortable. (NB: Air Con at 5Euro/night). The shower room, also tiny and basic, was in even more need of a refurb and had no ventilation or window (not very pleasant). Over the week the room did start to grate as everyone else was raving about their views. If we had known about the room before we left and had a small reduction on the price then we would still have thought that the holiday was a bargain at £330pp in June (NB: shortly before leaving we noticed the holiday advertised at £270pp in mid July!) - I think it is just a case for Thomsons/Theo to manage expectations better. Many good places to eat - favourite place was Romeos a 45 min walk up hill from hotel to Pagi – ignore the menu and ask what’s being cooked that day – other good places Delfini (30mins), Fishermans Cabin (45mins). The resort hasn’t a great deal to offer in terms of local life – it really is just a very out of the way small tourist resort but the local villages are great to find. The huge beach (20mins) could do with a bit of a clean up (2 sunbeds & parasol 6Euro/day).

Where else could you go to feel as though you are going to see and stay with family as you arrive the welcome from Theo Elena and all the staff just makes you relaxed and its no wonder that you feel good as you see friends who just keep going back, you feel as though youve not been away and the veiws from the resturant are marvelous and the sunsets over the bay are spectacular. There is a quiz on a Wednesday run by a lovely couple local expats Paul & Lisa it is a lovely evening where you can get to know other guest as there is quite a banter going in which the staff take part. The Greek Night is a must to get the flavour of Corfu and if you like a bit a fun its for you .
If you like walking there are some spectacular walks and Theo ansd Elena have maps to help you along the way and you will find some special places and veiws the like of which I never seen but if you like the pool that is set high up and the welcome and food is lovely as is the food in the resturant .

Our first visit to Corfu but certainly won't be our last. Theo and Elena are the most amazing couple who know just how to make guests welcome. After a couple of days we felt as though we were staying with family. As said elsewhere the rooms are basic, but have all you require and are very clean. All staff without exception were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Fresh crusty bread, Greek yogurt and honey at breakfast - absolutely wonderful. Dinners (and the waiters) were also excellent, Theo's specials were just that! We too enjoyed Aunt Joyce's piano playing!!

Room Tip: Higher floors at the front of the hotel have a wonderful view.

This was our third visit to Corfu but our first stay with Theo and Elena, they are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Our room was basic but clean and had the most fantastic view of the hills and valley and the beautiful bay of Agios Georgios. The breakfast was more than adequate and the evening meals we ate at the hotel were all good. The shower was a bit 'challenging' but hey, if it was like home you wouldn't know you were in Corfu! We arrived at the end of May, the resort was very quiet the first week but livened up the second week. The Greek night was entertaining and we enjoyed Aunt Joyce's piano playing (mentioned in pfrostsm review). Would certainly consider another visit if we want to go back to Corfu again.

Room Tip: Our room 302 had fantastic views but you need to be able to use stairs okay.
