having just returned from staying at Theos Hotel, we stayed here for two weeks and came away total relaxed.
I was disappointed with our room , only in the fact there are 3 room at the back of the hotel facing a wall and a couple of olive trees and we had one of these, so everyone had lovely views of the mountains and the sea except these 3 rooms. The room was cleaned every day with towels and sheets changed at least 3 times each week.
The food in the hotel was very nice with a daily special every day. The only thing i would say about the special is that its advertised on a board in reception but the price was never shown, although we did have the special a couple of times and it was on par with menu prices.
The pool is up a short steep hill and is clean with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. Lisa the pool lady in the little cafe was very nice and helpful letting us run a tab and paying when we left each day.
The resort is quiet with a nice beach a few sunbeds to hire @ 10 euros. The edge of the sea at the sunbeds is pebbly , but go about 50 meters either side and its nice and sandy.
For eating out try Ammoes and Tratorri tavernas

Room Tip: ask for any room at the front, not one of the three at the back

We stayed here for one week in June with my elderly parents. Theo, Elena and the staff could not have done more to make our stay any more enjoyable. My Parents are in their early 80's and my Mum has a few dietary issues and this was all taken care of without any fuss. The waiters were all fantastic and helpful and at times cheeky, which really helped with the easy feel of the hotel. The food was really good and we never left the table hungry as the portions were very generous. The pool was great and the kiosk although limited in its offerings was run by a wonderful lady who was also very helpful and eager to please.
Only two things I would mention as minor negatives. The size of the ensuites is a challenge to anyone except the exceptionally slim, and from my parents point of view the amount of steps. The pool is also at the top of a steep slope at the back of the hotel.
The area generally is ok, very quiet and Pagi is worth the walk uphill for the wonderful food at Romeos Cafe, cooked by the lovely Matoula.
All in all we would definitely recommend Theos and judging by the many guests who were returning some for the tenth time we are not alone in our joy at staying there.

Room Tip: If you can get a choice go for a room over the restaurant for amazing views of the bay

Just returned from two weeks at Theos Hotel .Had a lovely, very relaxing holiday Theos is set amongst beautiful countryside and we had a great view from our balcony .We enjoyed lots of walks in the countryside around the hotel .It was a small friendly hotel were it was easy to get to know people. We often ate in the restaurant where the portions were a good size and the food tasty and reasonable priced. The Greek night was fun and we liked taking part in quiz nights on Wednesdays too. We loved Lisa the lovely lady at the pool bar but all the staff were very friendly .
St Georgios had a long beach with soft sands lots of tavernas and mini supermarkets .We walked right along the beach and up the road to Afionas having a drink in a bar at the top with fantastic views down over our bay and from a nearby viewpoint the bay to the north.
We went on a Thomson day out which included a boat from Sidari to Paleokastritsa. At Paleokastritsa we walked up to the monastery, high on a hill and definitely worth a visit. Our rep Alison was very helpful and knowledgeable about the trips on offer.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and one which we hope to be able to do again in the future.

Room Tip: Views best from second or third floor and we asked for a double bed and managed to get one.

This is my 10th visit in the last 17 years & nothing much has changed ( in a good way ). Theo & his wife Elena are fantastic hosts & they and the team cannot do enough for you. The hotel is 700m + from the beach & it's an uphill walk on the way back, the plus side of this is the fabulous views across the valley, olive groves & the sea. There is a nice pool ( not really suitable for young children ) & a poolside bar looked after by the lovely Lisa. Rooms are basic with old style Greek showers but they are spotlessly clean & towels & linen are changed regularly. Food is good, especially the daily specials. The hotel has loads of repeat guests so that speaks volumes & I'll most certainly be back

Just returned from 10 nights at Theo's what a great hotel this is, what it lacks in luxury far makes up for in charm and character! You feel relaxed from the moment you arrive and Theo and Eleoner make you very welcome. The views are spectacular and beautiful sunsets. The hotel is exceptionally clean we also had bedding changed every other day along with towels. Breakfast is simple with fantastic Greek yoghurt and the bread is delicious plus a brownie point for having lurpak butter. The food in the evening is good to and you won't find a better place with regard to view and sunset. Beach and resort about a 5/10 min stroll whereupon will find other taverna's. Agios Georgios is a sleepy laid back resort a little tired in Parts but still lovely no good for those wanting bars, karaoke and night clubs but if you want a total recharge then this is the place. If I was to be picky the only negative would be the hand showers but you get used to it, would recommend a car if you want to be out and about as busses are not frequent and only take you to Pagu and corfu town but you can walk to lots of neighbouring resorts if that's your thing. I can see why this hotel has lots of returners as it's magical. Oh and not forgetting Lisa at the pool bar she is amazing as is all the staff.

Room Tip: All same but ask for room facing front of hotel as gets morning sun send evening therefore rooms are...

Don’t get me wrong this was a great holiday/hotel for the price and I expect my rating will have little impact on the hotels overall score. The hotel is very popular and has many return visitors (about 75% of customers according to Theo). It has a very friendly atmosphere and is well run by Theo and Elena who are very helpful (as are all the staff). The location, up in the hills overlooking the bay, is great if you don’t mind walking and the many walks are wonderful. The swimming pool is great. The restaurant serves lovely food and has great views/sunsets. The hotel has about 30 rooms 3 of which are on the back and these have no views. The many return guests seem (naturally?) to be first in the queue for the front rooms which have lovely views from their balconies so, beware, if you’re a first time visitor your chances of one of the better rooms is 50/50 at best. It was our first time and we had a back room – which in its self was just about adequate; being very basic (even by Greek standards), very small and needing some TLC. We did have a double bed which was reasonably comfortable. (NB: Air Con at 5Euro/night). The shower room, also tiny and basic, was in even more need of a refurb and had no ventilation or window (not very pleasant). Over the week the room did start to grate as everyone else was raving about their views. If we had known about the room before we left and had a small reduction on the price then we would still have thought that the holiday was a bargain at £330pp in June (NB: shortly before leaving we noticed the holiday advertised at £270pp in mid July!) - I think it is just a case for Thomsons/Theo to manage expectations better. Many good places to eat - favourite place was Romeos a 45 min walk up hill from hotel to Pagi – ignore the menu and ask what’s being cooked that day – other good places Delfini (30mins), Fishermans Cabin (45mins). The resort hasn’t a great deal to offer in terms of local life – it really is just a very out of the way small tourist resort but the local villages are great to find. The huge beach (20mins) could do with a bit of a clean up (2 sunbeds & parasol 6Euro/day).

Where else could you go to feel as though you are going to see and stay with family as you arrive the welcome from Theo Elena and all the staff just makes you relaxed and its no wonder that you feel good as you see friends who just keep going back, you feel as though youve not been away and the veiws from the resturant are marvelous and the sunsets over the bay are spectacular. There is a quiz on a Wednesday run by a lovely couple local expats Paul & Lisa it is a lovely evening where you can get to know other guest as there is quite a banter going in which the staff take part. The Greek Night is a must to get the flavour of Corfu and if you like a bit a fun its for you .
If you like walking there are some spectacular walks and Theo ansd Elena have maps to help you along the way and you will find some special places and veiws the like of which I never seen but if you like the pool that is set high up and the welcome and food is lovely as is the food in the resturant .
