“Never return to the same place twice...........”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

.....???? or so they say.
My wife and I have just recently returned after our second visit, and we enjoyed the stay as much, if not more than the first time, so much so, that we have booked already for another holiday for next June 2015 at this friendly, relaxed, beautifully situated hotel in Agios Georgios North.
Many of the other guests we spoke to, also return year after year to enjoy the friendly family welcome and soak up the Greek experience that this hotel, and its excellent loyal staff offer.
We look forward to seeing them all again next year.
Thank you all again for your friendly hospitality.

The hotel itself was superb as usual. Nothing ever looks jaded and as everyone says,
‘The Family’ can’t do enough to make your holiday perfect. Fantastic location and facilities.
All the staff would be my choice of what a great family should be.

Since our last visit the hotel, has gone over to ‘half board’ It was probably a good business decision, but a bit of a gamble that it would suit everyone. Our friends and selves met at the hotel last year and we ate in CGB quite a few nights anyway as the a la carte menu and quality was so good, but we also really enjoyed sampling the other restaurants round about. It allowed us to make contact with the more typically Greek establishments.

For us, mealtimes are one of the main enjoyable parts of the holiday as we could eat, talk and take as long as we wanted to, but start it all by having a drink at the bar before eating. Unfortunately, this meant we were later into the dining room and we were then conscious of the time factor for the staff clearing up. So probably, for us, not as relaxed as the previous year and of course the catering style was different due to the volume of guests eating. However, this minor change does not alter the fact that this place is a constant Thomson gold medal winner and a lot of UK hotels could do to take a leaf out of their book.

It goes without saying that we shall return!

Thanks to everyone at CGB for your kindness and hard work.

Had a wonderful week lovely setting good rooms excellent service did all they could for us . I am not fond of some meats they made sure I had enough to eat . My husband has to have gluten free diet didn't think they would be able to get any special foods but they did and went through the menu every night to make sure he had right food. Lovely people don't often get this service.
Will certainly go again

Room Tip: Back rooms that overlook garden slightly larger and wonderful smell of honeysuckle and jasmine . Eve...

We too booked this hotel after reading the fantastic reviews and we're not disappointed. We have never been to a hotel where everyone seemed to enjoy going that extra yard to ensure our perfect holiday. The whole family and even the waiting staff, bar staff, cleaners and gardener made us feel like treasured guests in their own home. The little extras like filtered drinking water available free of charge, mosquito proof nets on all windows, free air-conditioning, sun beds available all day without having to get up early to make sure of one, hot water at any time of day, all made for a truly relaxing experience. I am allergic to kiwi fruit seeds and Dina made me a special fruit salad twice every day which I greatly appreciated. There are ample tavernas in the area if you need a change but after trying a few others we quickly realised that the food in the hotel was as good as some and better than most and we ate there every lunchtime as well as evening. The area is very beautiful and attracts a lot of walkers, Corfu town is accessible by bus but you would need a car to visit anywhere else (unless you are a walker too). This is the only time I feel that I will definitely return to the same hotel, it has everything that I have always been looking for and more!!

Room Tip: Choose a sea view if possible and first floor if you wish to see the water's edge.

We had a great holiday in Corfu. May is an excellent time to visit the island because everything is still green and flowering but the temperatures are getting warmer all the time and we were able to swim in the sea and fit in some sun bathing too. It is also a great time to go for long walks and explore the villages and coastline with beautiful views from the hills over the sea and the bays - breath-taking scenery!
Costas Golden Beach is a great hotel - very clean, comfortable and with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to any of our friends. The pool overlooks the beach and a nice sandy beach is just across the road from the hotel. The hotel also provides deck chairs that guests can take to the beach. Excellent transport links too. The bus to Corfu Town leaves just outside the hotel. Nearby are also a number of Greek Tavernas and Restaurants and it is in a great location for a variety of excellent walks.

Just returned from 2 wonderful weeks at the Golden Beach, we arrived just after 9 pm & were very warmly welcomed by Demetrius & all his family, they kept the restaurant open to ensure we had our evening meal after showing us quickly to our room & assisting with the cases. The hotel is kept immaculate throughout by the conscientious staff, the rooms all have mosquito mesh doors for extra protection. The room safe, WiFi & on tap iced water to refill water bottles are all complimentary. The meals are varied & very high quality with at least 3 different choices for the main evening dinner, plus wonderful homemade soups & different Greek salads for starters, with some produce from the hotel garden. The breakfasts are very healthy with plenty of fruit, cereals, Greek yogurt & local honey. If you can't live without an English breakfast that is always available for an extra cost. The evening entertainment is fun but not compulsory & one evening, the staff & family gave an exhibition of traditional Greek dancing. The resort is quiet with a few local shops, tavern's & interesting walks but the hotel pool & sunbeds kept pulling us back. The fact that many of the residents were on their 5th visit says more about this family run hotel than any reviews & we will hope to join them again, if there any any vacancies.

Room Tip: The best & most rooms overlook the sea & beach but 1 or 2 face the rear garden of the hotel.
