“another brilliant holiday!”
Reviewed 4 August 2011

This year me and my family had an amazing time at the apartments, the entertainment was brilliant and fun, Bisztrán Tibor and Andre Faria were very entertaining and made the holiday excellent. We will definitely be coming again!

Arrived with the family and was pleasantly surprised with the opted for top floor room, lovely and clean with great views over the bay.appt receptinist was very friendly and helpful and when extra blankets and pillows were requested they arrived immediately.unfortunatlely the same cannot be said for the reception staff in the hotel whom we found to be aloof, uninterested and seemed to be more interested in talking to each other than helping clients.i sometimes felt as if i was invisible!
A couple of moans and groans!the kids beds were quite worn and very uncomfortable and something has to be done about towels on sunbeds!most mornings no beds were available even though most were unused for hours. This resulted in us having to go to the beach and pay for beds on most days.I pesonally saw towels being put on sunbeds at 6.25 in the morning, and they say the germans are bad!!All in all though a good holiday at a reasonable price.Would come again though but will fetch an alarm clockto set for 6AM so that i can get my towels down! If you can,t beat em join em eh!

These apartments are excellent. The rooms are equipped with everything you need. Kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, 2 cooking rings, tv, toiletries and towels. They have 2 large sofas and a large balcony. The rooms are kept very clean. Yes they have 2 single beds but this doesn't bother us at all. The receptionist is there from 10am to 6pm. Or you can use the one in the hotel if you need to. All receptionists were very helpful. The pool area was lovely and again kept very clean. There are plenty of beds but you do have to get up early to put your towel out. We prefer the beach so we didn't bother staying around the pool. There was also a cafeteria that seemed very popular but we didn't go in it. Es Cana is gorgeous. This was my 3rd time there. A fairly quiet resort but still enough lovely restaurants and bars. The hippie market on Wednesdays is good too. But very hot walking around it. NOW FOR THE BAD STUFF. Do not stay in room 23. We called it the dungeon. It was in the corner right next to the cafeteria. The staff in the cafeteria start clattering about from 8am to 8pm. The steps leading down to the balcony also lead down to the cafeteria. So we had no privacy. And everyone seemed to gawp at us like we were some sort of freak show. We asked to move and were given room 11. This was on the ground floor also but on the other side of the pool. It was a much better room. Much larger and lots more equipment and there was air conditioning. There is no air conditioning in room 23. Just 2 fans. So please do not accept the keys to room 23. Ask for another room. You have to pay an extra 10 euros per night to stay in the upstairs rooms but we were willing to do this. Fortunately room 11 was available so we didn't have to pay extra for that because it was on the ground floor. They put 2 couples and 1 family in room 23 in the space of a week. All of us changed rooms. I don't know what the reviewer in room 14 is talking about. Room 11 was close to room 14 but we didn't hear any noise from a club. There is a bar opposite but that's it. And there wasn't much noise coming from that.

Room Tip: Do not accept the keys to room 23.

We stayed in room 014 which was a ground floor apartment right next to the pool. So there was no privacy at all as all could see through the large glass doors. It was also next to some sort of pump for the pool that was whirring away 24/7 and approximately 10 meters from the bedroom window was an open air club that was extremely noisy until approx 3AM lots of music and cheering… That and the noise from other room’s next door (doors banging, loud water pipes also the sound of furniture scraping along the floor) made it almost impossible to sleep. The bed was made up from two singles pushed together and was uncomfortable and hard to sleep in when the noise died down, it had two single sheets that looked like rough curtain material for covers… also we had cockroaches wake us up in the night… Rarely receptionist on duty, when we checked out we dumped the key on the counter and left... However plenty of sun loungers, a reasonable pool also located next to the beach made it better… Es cana was a lovely resort but our room was terrible… maybe another room would have been better away from the noisy club but as it was all booked up we could not move.

Room Tip: not ground floor and not near club / pump

The apartments were lovely, kept nice and clean, nice quiet pool with lots of room and sunbeds. Very freindly and helpful staff in both the apartments and hotel, and cracking food!

Room Tip: get one on the top floor, its quietest!

The apartments have a great location right next to the beach with a good sized pool and plenty of sunbeds. Ground floor apartments all over look the pool and the upper floors all have sea views.
The apartments are clean and comfortable if a little on the basic side but have all you need. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Miami Ibiza Apartments are ideally located right next to the beach, we'd requested a sea view but didn't need to really as all had a sea view (some with a more direct view though as it was an L shaped building) we had a 1 bedroomed apartment with bath and shower and kitchenette with extra sleeping in the lounge area. Kitchen well stocked with microwave, full size kettle, fridge and toaster (even had a tea pot!) plenty of crockery etc for 4 people. Maid came every day except Mondays (sign up in lobby advising not on site Mondays & Tuesdays but she turned up every Tuesday still), beds changed twice during our 11 night stay and towels changed approx 3 - 4 times. Hot water was available almost all the time apart from around 6pm when we assumed everybody was showering as it turned a bit cool but if you can afford to wait for an hour it was piping hot again by 7pm. Bedroom situated at the rear of the apartments which was nice as you were away from any pool noise from the front of the apartments if you wanted an afternoon siesta - small window in bedroom so was also nice, dark and by far the coolest room in the apartment.

Air conditioning was free and there were approx 6 English channels on the TV, including 2 movie channels, but lost a couple of channels fter 6pm every night but wasn't worried as we didn't spend that much time in the apartments in the evenings. Apartments seemed to be full of families or older couples (50+) so was nice and quiet at night, no rowdy gangs which was just what we were looking for. Pool only had a few parasols which were fixed to the ground so there wasn't much shade throughout the day but you could walked to the beach (few minutes walk) and hire a sun-bed and parasol for 4 euro's each.

Es Cana has plenty of restaurants and cater for most tastes, best to shop around for drinks though as we found a pint of lager (local) varied from 2.00 - 4.50 euros.

Buses ran every 30 mins during the day to Saint Elulalia (costs 1 euro 45 cents) which was the central point for buses to everywhere else on the island and there was a Disco Bus that travelled late at night to drop off / pick up anybody wanting to go drinking for longer. There is also a good ferry service from the main street in Es Cana going to the Saint Elulalia, Cala Llonga, Formentara etc.
