“Great Value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2013

We stayed at the coral beach for 10 nights and it was great value. Bit nervous about some of the reviews on here but no need to worry, it was great. Hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was fine for me and my 2 boys. We went all inclusive and although the food can be a little repetitive there was always a decent selection available and the pool side bar had decent snacks also. Plus San Miguel on draught was a result. Big thanks to the animation team Andrea, Marta, Antonio and Margaux who worked endlessy making sure the children (and adults if you wanted) had plenty to do throughout the day. The 4 of them worked really hard all day and my kids certainly enjoyed themselves. Maybe the only negative thing was the sunbeds and the queuing from 8 in the morning but until someone comes up with a better idea, not sure what they can do to improve that.
Es Cana is a nice little resort, quiet but enough bars to make it lively in the evenings. Overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone with children, great value.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor facing the pool. Seemed quieter and you get a good view

Location is fab & hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are reasonably spacious, if not a little noisy.
We stayed all inclusive and the food was fresh if not a little repetitive, but being in a family of 6 if often proved difficult & cramped to get a table together. The sun bed shortage situation was ridiculous, thank goodness we only had to endure the queuing, fight & sheer mayhem a few times as we enjoy the beach more!!! Unfortunately we wouldn't stay at this hotel again, but on the whole it was worth the price paid.

Room Tip: Rooms 214 & 213 stink, so avoid if you can. Rooms at the back of the hotel aren't particular...

When arriving at the hotel coral beach, we was welcomed with such amazing and friendly staff on reception, although we had to wait an extra hour for 2 rooms to be ready this was fine. When receiving the rooms, they was clean and very well set out. We did get the back street of the hotel as a view but not to bother as you can see the sea clearly. We did not stay in the hotel much only for breakfast and tea and a quick swim at 6pm at night before shower before tea. The swimming pool is very much full of children and I would not recommend unless you have children as you are unable to swim in the pool with the many lilos and inflatables in the pool even at 6pm!
The breakfast was beautiful and so much choices of bread to go with your meal. It was the same every day but always very nicely cooked and enjoyable. The tea's were not as great, there was limited choice especially for people who are "fussy eaters" and there were no childrens choices such as nuggets. The first night was not good but as the week went along it gradually picked up with choices of pastas and meat. On the plus side the drinks in the hotel restaurant are free (very nice lager and wine!!).
A/C throughout the room is good and kept the room very cold and nice to sleep in instead of being warm and stuffy - takes a few minutes to kick in but when it does it is worth it.
Overall we all enjoyed our stay but I don't think we shall be returning as soon with regards to the food and the pool side of things - overall lovely hotel indeed!

we stayed in this hotel , food not to bad could be lot better , rooms very basic , you have to que for a sun bed they dont open doors till 9oclock so stops a lot of people puting towels on them , however we went down around 10ish and all sunbeds gone , used beach most of time as just round corner , very nice place to walk round , plenty of shops on your door step , i would give this hotel a 2 star not a 3 as it says ,

Room Tip: we stayed over looking road very noisy all nite with traffic up and down ,

we have just returned on 21st of August after 10 days at coral beach. The hotel is very clean and the staff are nice especially the "animation team". Antonio and the rest of the team made our holiday. There are lots of activities to take part in throughout the day and the entertainment on an evening is the best we have seen, all the years we have gone all inclusive. This was the first holiday we have had on our own without any kids and were very wary of filling in our time. We had no need to worry. The food was nice but very samey, the last night we left our food as the chicken was still raw inside but other than that it was all very edible and tasty. The only problems we had throughout the whole holiday were when we first arrived our room wasn't ready and had to wait 2.5 hours for it to be cleaned, and ready for us. The other is what we had already heard about off other reviews which was the sunbeds. we bought 2 li lo and took these down to the pool everyday, we only needed them twice as we found odd sunbeds and just moved them to where we wanted them, which annoyed those who had got up at 8am to get their towels down. On the whole I would return to this hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Once again I would like to thank Antonio and the animation team as they really made our holiday.

We stayed at this hotel from the 15th aug - 22nd. Nice hotel, great location - 2 min walk to beach, food was good plenty of choice and tasted good, room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Now the bit about the sunbeds! like everybody else has mentioned if you want a sunbed you have to stand in a queue from 8 am if not earlier. The doors open at 9am and there is a mad rush to get certain beds as quite a bit of the pool is shaded and some of the beds are rubbish! We never got a bed in the 7 days we were there because we refused to get up early! it was the same people who were hogging the beds lying there ignoring their unruly kids!! and yes it was all the brits!!!!!some beds never had a backside on them all day only a towel SELFISH! we ended up on the beach everyday where you have to pay for beds, there are plenty down there and the sea is shallow so ideal for the kids. There are plenty of chairs around the pool but only a small number of umbrellas. The hotel needs to consider having bottles of water as part of the all inclusive as only cups of water are available (not ideal when you have to go on the beach!) I also have to mention one bar staff member at the pool side bar who is VERY grumpy, I used that bar TWICE in the whole week and he puffed at me when I ordered food, food that I had paid for - he was mentioned by a few people I spoke to!. All in all we had a nice week and we had wall to wall sunshine which made it.
