“great time at ereso again”
Reviewed 20 September 2011

just got back from the ereso second time in 2 years and it just gets better each time Kev and his team made the holiday really enjoyable for my grand kids and myself and wife, the barstaff are excellent as were the staff in the dining area and the cleaners the only negative i could find was the mangeress thinks she is better than the rest and walks around as if she is something special , bit of advice for her take the broom stick out and socialise with you guests.

Just got back today and part of our group is already looking to book for next year. This was our second visit and it was even better than the first time. There were some of the same faces from the first time which was 2009. As a couple with a young child there was always something for him to do, even if he was too young to understand how to do the task the entertainment team never leave anyone out. As for the food it was better this time round, there was more variety and theme nights where the food tasted how it should. There was a mexican and an asian night and while we were there it was tourist day so at lunch time there was a small poolside buffet with tapas on and very good sangria not the normal paint stripper you get, they also did a special dinner that night. The rooms are the same as you get anywhere but are cleaned everyday, our maid insisted on this. The staff are fantastic and make you feel very welcome throughout the stay. We arrived too late for dinner and they had plated up a cold supper for us which we had never experienced anywhere before, they also do early breakfast if your flights early in the morning. Will definately revisit this hotel we have stayed various places in the resort but this is the best. To the previous review re sunbeds its the same as where ever you got but didnt see any union jacks

Room Tip: We had room 622 and 623 these had a fabulous view of the resort and sea, if you want a big balcony t...

Arrived at the ereso 7th sept for a week with family and friends ages ranging from 2 to 52. having read the "bad" reviews I was abit dubious of coming, but as my dad paid for a family holiday for us all I went into it with an open mind, Which in all honesty I'm glad I did! We had a fanastic week and found no fault at all with the hotel, pool, food, service & cleanliness. The food gets abit repetive but that's what u get in all hotels that do buffet syle food! They had different theme nights mexican, Indian, Chinese etc. the puddings were to die for and my son enjoyed the Icecream and could eat as much as he wanted. You had to Que for the food but that was the same when we stayed in a 5* hotel in turkey!! People just don't have the patience anymore.
Entertainment Was good the kids enjoyed the mini disco and even the adults joined in too! The adult or family entertainment was okish! The drag act was really funny and my dad enjoyed "me and him" as they played his type of rock music! If we didn't watch the show after the kids disco we had a stroll down to the beach front as there are plenty of bars along the way. We especially enjoyed the bar overlooking the beach by pepes water sports.
The Kids enjoyed the pool and we didn't have a problem getting a sun lounger after breakfast either.
It's a shame the hotel will be going all inclusive next year I think it should still have the option of full board to accommodate for those who don't like to stay drinking in the hotel all the time.
All in all we had a fanstatic holiday and I really can't understand why people moan about the ereso unless they are the type of people that like to have a moan about the slightest things!!!! Holiday is what you make it at the end of the day!!!!!!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Ereso from 02/09/11 to 16/09/11 and chose this hotels because of the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Just a note first, our flight from Newcastle arrived in Ibiza at 09.45hrs local time and we arrived at the Ereso at approx 11.15 to be told that our room would not be vacated by the previous occupants until 12.00hr then would have to be cleaned and would not be ready till 13.30hrs. Hence two hours of sitting around waiting.
The hotels location is reasonably good, being only a few minutes walk from the beach and bars etc. All the staff from the receptionist, waiters and cleaners were all very friendly and efficient. The room 634 although locate at the back of the hotel, was fine with views of a beautiful sunset each evening.
The animation team worked well during the day with rifle shooting, water polo, table tennis and maybe not to everyones taste ice cube spitting competitions. We didn't find the evening entertainment that enjoyable it appeared to geared up for children, although going on to midnight. But we found plenty of entertainment at other hotels and Charlie's, Popeyes and Rio's bars.
Our main disappointment was the dining arrangements with too many tables crammed into the dining room to cope with the full board arrangements. There were always people squeezing passed your table and generally queues for the buffet meals. In general the meals were reasonably good (especially breakfast and lunch) but evening meals were sometimes disappointing (some were very good) with the highlight of people queuing for a beefburger because it was the best thing on the menu. Most people appeared happy with quantity on the food they got, rather than the quality.
Sunbeds, ah to all those sad BRITS who got up early to go down with their towels to reserve their favourite spot, then arrive late afternoon to claim their prized bed. You selfish, selfish people. On the morning we were leaving we in the foyer at 06.45hrs and people were waiting to go out to put their Union Jack towels out, we assume that this was their morning ritual. We, however got up each morning at leisure and went to the beach. A small point........why give you a TV if the only English channel is BBC World News!!!
Overall the hotel was fine, but how peple can say "it was the best hotel I have ever stayed in" takes some understanding.

Yet again we had a very enjoyable 2 week holiday at the Ereso. Both the resort and hotel seem a very happy environment and there is always plety going on. This year I heard many people complaining that the hotel will only be all inclusive next year, with no option of full board and that they will not return. We are repeat guests of 10 times and feel we will not return to the hotel next year due to it going all inclusive, a shame as the hotel is nice enough as it is now.

I stayed here end of August/ beginning of September with my partner and my four year old daughter.

Before booking, I researched and chose this hotel based on the excellent reviews. However, I was rather worried when the reviews started appearing about the thefts. I need not have worried as the hotel was fantastic and we felt very safe there. We hired a safe for the week (2euros per day) and didn't have any problems and we didn't hear of any during our stay.

Our hotel room was a decent size and was very clean. The maids cleaned our room daily and changed our towels. I am really picky and the only thing that wasn't very clean was the shower head... it could have done with being changed!

We hired a fridge which costs 3 euros per day.

We requested a seaview and we were given room 309 which was on the third floor overlooking the pool with a side sea view. The room was also directly above the entertainment, but didn't have a very good view of the stage as there was a tree in the way. The entertainment went on until 12 each night and was very loud, so if you like to sleep before then its best to ask for a room facing the back of the hotel.

The food was excellent with a good variety and was really enjoyed by all three of us. I would have liked more choice of vegetables though. We never had any problem getting a table either.

We aren't ones for staying around the pool all day, as we like to go out and explore the area. People were reserving sun beds. We were amused with some people who must have got up each day really early to reserve the same spot. We would go to the beach on the morning and then come round the pool late afternoon. We just about managed to find sunbeds each day.

We stayed at the hotel for the entertainment a few evenings. My four year old loved it. Some of it was good, some wasn't the best. But still, it kept our daughter amused and definitely beats staying in a quiet bar when kids get bored.

We hired a car one of the days to explore the Island. The hotel can arrange car hire from the place over the road. We found it to be the cheapest, however for one day they needed the car back at 8pm and the one down the road said we could bring the car back before 8.30am the following day. The Island is quite small so you can see a lot in one day. We went to Portinax, San Miguel, Play D'en Bossa and Cala Llonga and still managed to go back to the hotel for lunch in between.

Cala Llonga was our favourite beach, it was gorgeous and there was a brilliant park for young kids. Its definitely worth a visit there if you have young kids.

Would definitely return to this hotel if we do ever decide to visit Es Canar in the future. The reviews and the fact that its the top rated hotel on Trip Advisor says it all!

Room Tip: You only want a pool view room if you don't like to sleep before 12am

we have just returned from an eleven day holiday at this wonderful hotel. I have stayed in many hotels around the world but the ereso has to be the best i have stayed in for a good all round experience. I previously read review where certain reviewers had complained about food ,entertainment,cleanliness....ra ra ra. WHAT? DID YOU GO TO A DIFFERENT HOTEL??? !!! There is absolutley nothing to complain about!!! FOOD-fantastic,you could never get bored or say it was "The same" as there were different choices every night with many theme nights included in the mix.ENTERTAINMENT- Kev and the animation team work very hard to keep both children and ADULTS occupied and entertained day and night.CLEANLINESS-Rooms were cleaned every day by a very concientious maid who gave us fresh towels and other consumables every day.The hotel was contantly being cleaned by a brigade of staff that never seemed to stop. All staff very friendly and polite except Antonio who never seemed to smile!! ahh!!! We found all the night entertainment very good and after a short walk always returned to the hotel . we met some really nice people:MICHELLE AND BIG AND LITTLE MAX LOVELY BRENDA AND SYLVIE. What a lovely friendly place to go, we will definatley be returning again....ERESO IS THE BEST!!!!!!
