“Great value for money.”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks in the 'Land of Ereso'. There are so many factors which make this a really excellent hotel:
A warm efficient welcome by reception staff, and an immediate transfer to, when we reported that our original room allocation was not suitable for a wheelchair user.
Spacious, spotless family room with comfy beds, really fluffy luxurious towels and extra grab rails - not full disabled access ( shower over low bath) but enough.
Superb animation team (Jacob, Yves, and Sam) who were always friendly but never OTT and had so much energy - they really made the hotel tick, and the place would not be the same without them and 'La Bomba'!!!(Ereso's national anthem.
All the staff were friendly and helpful and did their jobs with aplomb. The spirits were all decent and the size of the measures amazing (always at least a triple and often more!!) It made life a lot easier being able to get tea, coffee and soft drinks yourself rather than waiting to be served.
Jamie, First Choice rep, was a real bonus, not just a 'trips salesman' but someone who was always there to give you any help or information you needed, or just to have a chat, one of the best reps we've ever had.
The hotel was wheelchair accessible with ramps at the entrance and between the two pool areas, I am quite strong and these were a little bit of a challenge on my own but no ;problem with a little help from my husband. The disabled toilet is easily accessed independently and very spacious. BUT REMEMBER THIS HOTEL IS AT THE TOP OF A HILL, YOU WILL NEED A STRONG PUSHER WITH YOU IF YOU WANT TO GO DOWN TO THE SEA REGULARLY!!
Unfortunately the dining experience did not measure up to the rest of the hotel:
The tables were incredibly close together, with only a few suitable for wheelchairs. The tables were laid with a knife fork and small paper napkin at all meals, couldn't things have been revved up a little for evening meals?
The food varied in quality, but there was always something worth eating, but the combinations were strange ('smash' with roast beef dinner, and roast potatoes with chinese stir fry - and chips with everything). It was obvious they were on a tight budget and things were re-used, but it was presented well and was plentiful.
This may be a 3* hotel but surely some sort of dress code could be applied to evening meals, the ladies always made an effort but men in beach shorts, vests and flip-flops should have been shown the door!! Small changes here would make a huge difference.
We had wonderful weather, took the bus to St Eulalia twice and the water taxi to Ibiza town (if you are not completely wheelchair bound these are easily possible.
This was such a good value holiday in a great hotel, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Pool rooms for sun all day. Sea views and tennis court views quieter at night.

I booked this hotel through thomson who I have never used before and both my partner and I were extremely impressed. The place was very clean, the reception staff gave you a warm welcome and entertainment staff were fantastic througout the day and night although im not entirely sure where they got their energy from! Whether you like to stay in the hotel or go on excursions the choice is yours as it is perfectly situated with enough around es canar and at the hotel not to get bored, especially if your on a tight spending budget. Food is excellent with meat and pancakes etc cooked in front of you.Only grumbles I can think of are that the beds are hard, I wasnt offered a double bed and there are no hairdryers so take your own (luckily I read this before going so was not put out).

stayed at this lovely hotel 18 to 28 september. Myself, son, daughter-in-law, two grandsons aged 1 and 6. So a very broad range of ages and every one of us had a wonderful holiday. One of the cleanest hotels i have ever stayed in. Clean fluffy white towels every day, pristine sheets on beds, also mattress covers on all beds. The entertainment team were fantastic, special thanks to kids club rep Sam whom my 6 year old grandson adored so much that when going through security at Ibiza airport cried because he would not see Sam again. The food truly was 4star with plenty of choice, my sons favorite was the Mexican night. The only thing that would improve this hotel even more would be if one of the pool bars could be converted into a snack bar, serving toasties, burgers and pizza at lunch time,so that you would not have to leave the lovely pool. So good we are booking again for next year.

Room Tip: we stayed in rooms 205 206 at the back of hotel very quiet.

We have travelled all around budget hols for 10 years having many excellent holidays from Cuba to Greek Islands. We don't write reviews normally but this really is one to rite about it simply is the best . 3* is a joke in my eyes 4* more like. I have never wanted to visit any of Spain but for my other halfs 50th I booked a wk away in Tunisia. The hotel was getting really bad reviews hence I said let's go have a look at something else . For the weather we wanted I had to suck it and see . Best time ever. We have never revisited any where before but trust me when I tell you I will definitely return . Everything is just right. Well done everyone. We had an amazing time there .

Have just returned from 10 days at Ereso. This hotel is kept very clean, you always seem to see the cleaners cleaning windows etc even at night. The rooms are average for 3 star and have no complaint about bed being comfortable. I slept well most nights. Our room was 239 which faces out towards tennis courts and was a very quiet part of hotel, although the walls were a little thin and we could hear people in room next to us. Entertainment was quite good for near end of season. The animacion team kept everyone thoroughly entertained and worked very hard throughout the day with various games and boules, shooting, water aerobics etc. Hotel staff were very pleasant and always had a smile for you. Only slight downside was food. Now i'm not saying that it was bad but just didn't come up to my expectations. Having read some reviews which said food was brilliant or superb, I think I may have been expecting too much. There was not enough variety as far as i'm concerned and some of the meat dishes which were very nice were badly let down by the choice/or lack of choice of vegetables to go with it.i.e. lovely roast beef which only had chips or a very watery mashed potato brussels or cauliflower. Now not liking watery mash brussels or cauliflower. My husband had to resort to having salad with it. Salad was always good with plenty of variety, prawns, salmon, mussels etc.
Pity same couldn't be said about hot food. Having said this dont be put off as there was always the usual pizza, pasta etc (every day). Another thing was that I personally dont think that they catered for younger children foodwise. Also no changing facilities for babies in W.C's. You would have to go to your room each time to change a baby. With other All inclusive's there has been a snacks arrangement throughout the day (just in case you didn't fancy having breakfast/lunch) this does not happen at the Eresco, they only provide a very limited snack (biscuits) in the afternoon. Bottled water is charged for (in a plastic cup is free) Would not go back to Es Canar again but not because of hotel facilities, pure ans simply not enough to do in resort. My husband and I like to go for nice long walks and did not feel that we could do this there as resort is very small. I thought it may have expanded since I wasl last there but it hasn't.

Room Tip: For quiet rooms ask for ones that overlook the roof with the potted plants on
