We stayed from 5th to 12th August with our two young children...being frequent visitors to es canar we booked on a self catering basis so had room only service. I have to say I've stayed pretty much everywhere in es canar including private hires and the decor and cleanliness here is by far the most superior and up to date. Very very clean..the maids are great and so friendly. We only ever used the children's pool twice as knowing the area we prefer the jacaranda beach lounge and just don't like the whole 'hotel' vibe where everyone knows each other etc but the kids pool was perfect and once my daughter participated in the kids entertainment which she loved and was fantastic...the young guy and girls work so hard and put their all into it....the kids love the mini disco every night.....we stayed on the 4th floor facing the kids funfair...I would say this is quite a noisy location as it overlooks the main road in and out of es canar but overall a great place to stay for us. Would stay again.

I have just returned from 11 nights at this hotel with 8 adults and 6 children between the ages of 1 and 15. This hotel has a few issues that could be sorted out very quickly enough to make it a great hotel. THE RESTARANT.. The Breakfast was fair, nothing special but the main problem was at 10am when it closed and all the lights went out and you felt that you needed to leave at 10.01am. Lunch and evening meal was poor with not a lot of choice and the food needed to be warmer. The plates were on fire but the food was cold and this could cause food like chicken to heat back up after cooked. No tea and coffee at all lunch or evening meal which I found strange and poor as most people have a warm drink after a meal. We ate out a lot. BAR .. All inclusive at this hotel starts 10.30am and closes at 11.00pm. When I mean closes, I mean that everyone leaves the bar area just after 11pm when the evening entertainment finishes. This is due to the staff members kind of forcing you out and again making you feel like you have to move as they want to close. By 12 all the lights are off and the bar staff go home. We had a room over the bar and sat on the balcony so I know what time they left. ENTERTAINMENT.. The day time entertainment was ok and the staff do work hard but the night time entertainment was poor. One night we watched a Beatles tribute band and this was bar far the only good night for entertainment. We left most nights and went out because of this, which adds more cost to the ALL INCLUSIVE holiday that you pay for. One day of our holiday all the entertainment staff have a day off which was strange. We all went to the bar area after our evening meal and you could hear a pin drop as no back ground music and no atmosphere. ROOMS.. I can not fault the room to be honest. It was cleaned daily with fresh towels and the maids do a great job. We spotted a leak in our bathroom and this was sorted quickly. POOL AREA was good but again the snack bar was not good at all. This hotel could be good if a few issues could be addressed.

The noise. It never stops. I can only echo the issues raised by others. The sunbeds are a terrible issue. The one large pool is too small for the size of hotel, so extremely crowded. The noise is relentless. We had a "quiet" room overlooking the pool, and much of the day and night was filled with deafening euro pop and 90s music. As this poolside "entertainment" went on until 11pm (followed by noisy guests partying on), getting our small child to sleep was nearly impossible.

The kids club staff were nice and kept our little girl entertained with a game of ludo, but the place is so crowded in general that you can't do the advertised activities without a long wait.

We didn't go all inclusive but had one lunch, which was fine.

The room was ok but very basic with poor soundproofing.

We wouldn't return to either the resort (very British, funfair, beer and burgers - not very chilled) or the hotel again. We needed a relaxing holiday and the noise etc so hyped up our kid that it wasn't relaxing at all.

We are a family of four and stayed in a one bed apartment at Azuline which was clean, spacious and had plenty of storage. We had a room overlooking the pool which was a lot quieter than the one our friends had overlooking Es cana beach. Towels changed, beds made and floors cleaned daily. Our bulbs went a couple of times in the room and we didn't even have time to ask the reception the maids noticed and changed them. Food was amazing we loved it. Plenty of choice and never found it cold. We mainly ate in the restaurant and couldn't understand the reviews people had put on here about food which had worried us before coming. There were 7 in our group (3 fussy kids) and absolutely no complaints. We were pleased to see that the kids had plenty of options and didn't have chips and chicken nuggets on every night like most places. The drink quality was ok as well. There is an option to upgrade to premium brand drinks but didn't bother as the drinks were fine. There was occasionally a small queue for the bar but I never waited more than 4 minutes. There were also bar snacks available from 10 until 6. All staff in the hotel worked hard and were always happy and friendly. The sunbed situation is probably better than most hotels. They opened the doors at 9 and although people queued there were a few beds spare. Entertainment team were great Both adults and kids in our group got involved in the entertainment in the day. Our kids have never been interested in kids club before but Azulines animation programme appealed to a wide age range of kids. We only stayed in the hotel at night once but enjoyed what we saw of the entertainment as we prefer to go out at night to explore the resorts when we holiday. Only small issue really was wi fi which they said was out of their hands as they are tied in a contract. We paid €20 for 10 days and coverage was poor. The hotel said it had no option but to charge but this was not a deal breaker. I would like to suggest to the hotel that they have a no smoking or bar snack eating policy on the sunbeds. As mentioned in previous reviews some families were a bit messy with their cups and plates with leftovers on and they expected the hotel to clean up after them. There was a beautician there a couple of days a week doing massages and beauty at reasonable prices and a local diving school came to demo diving in the pool. We used the gym a couple of times. There are 2 spin bikes and about 10 weight apparatus however no air con. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone planning a trip to Es Cana. Es Cana itself has plenty of shops and bars and if you don't mind a walk there was a fantastic surf beach about 15 - 20 mins walk away with several fab restaurants - oh and a small nudist section if you are that way inclined and of course the hippy market is a 15 min walk and well worth a visit.

I've just arrived back from 2 weeks at this hotel, I booked an all inclusive holiday in a studio apartment. On arrival we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite at no extra cost which I thought was really good. The hotel is very clean and the staff are all hard working and friendly. We had room 505 it has a lovely sea view, 2 bathrooms a small kitchen and living room and a good size balcony, the entertainment starts at 22.00 and ends at 23.00, the all inclusive is good, you get proper brands instead of cheap brands, The food was nice apart from it seems to be on a 1 week rotation so the second week we was there we were all getting a bit tired of it, it has a nice pool however you do have to get up very early or all of the sun beds have towels on them, in the 2 weeks we were there we never got a sunbed, we hired the wifi it was 20 euros per week and it's not the best, it worked in our room but only in the toilet lol , I do think the hotel should have more English TV channels, the hotel has mainly English guests and the only 2 English channels are sky and BBC news. The hotel is in a great location and perfect for families with young children, mine are both teenagers and did get a bit bored, es cana itself is very expensive compared to anywhere else in Spain that I've been to and there isn't a lot to do there, my kids did the beach and the fair ground everyday for 2 weeks and by fair ground I mean dodgems and a ride so like I said it's not for teenagers, we went to Ibiza town to have a change of scenery, it was 65 euros return on the local ferry and it takes about 1 hr 30 mins to get there or a taxi is about 58 euros return so again it's pricey, I would recommend visiting santa eulia which is the next resort down it's a lot bigger and better priced with a good variety of shops and a nice beach also cala nova has a beautiful beach it's about a ten minute walk from es cana, however the middle part is for nudists so be warned lol, all in all it was a lovely holiday, I wouldn't take my kids back there cause there's not enough for them, and I certainly wouldn't go back for 2 weeks, it's certainly not a resort I would ever consider going self catering in either, it would cost a fortune and shops close early in es cana, the hotel though was great and I would recommend it if es cana is where you want to go

Hotel clean rooms comfortable maids service excellent. The food was really good restaurant staff work hard & are really friendly. Location good 5 mins walk to beach, bars near by.
Sadly we could never get a sun bed so had to go to the beach every day. We did mention the issue of sunbeds being reserved all day to reception said there is nothing they can do. You have to get up at 8:30 to queue up for a sunbed we have never seen anything like it! People leaving towels on beds all day even when not using them. There would be plenty of beds if people used as needed rather than reserving for whole day even when not in use! The hotel even states on its info not to reserve beds its a shame it doesn't enforce this. The swimming pool & area seems to small for the size of hotel.
The snack bar was good service. Night time entertainment was rubbish worst we had ever seen although the entertainment staff were very friendly.

We have just returned from 11 nights all inclusive. We travelled with 2 children aged 5&2...
Firstly the entertainment staff did a fabulous job getting not only the kids involved but also the adults. I liked how the kids activities were done separately from the adults as I have been to other hotels and they are done together. Max, Valentina and Daniela do a marvellous job keeping all of us entertained and involved.
The reception staff were always friendly and helpful.
The restaurant staff were very friendly and always said hello to both my children which was nice. The food always had a good selection, I am a fussy eater but I always found something different to eat.
The rooms are spacious and the maid service is excellent cleaning the rooms and changing the towels everyday which is brilliant.
There is a que in a morning for a subbed but only if you want to sit in a specific spot otherwise after breakfast from 10am there is usually sun beds still free around the pool.
We did purchase the mini disco cd and were disappointed on our return home to find it didn't work as our youngest son loved taking part.

We appreciate their effort, good work and attempt to provide efficient & friendly service to each of our guests which, as a service company we feel very proud of.

Regarding the problem with the mini disco cd it should be a failure because all cds are tested when recording. Could it be a problem with the format? Which format your player reads?
Anyway if you provide us with your postal address, we will be happy to send you as soon as possible a new CD.

Thank you very much for your trust and we hope to see you soon!
