“2 hours of hell”

Hippy Market Punta Arabia
Ranked #5 of 11 things to do in Es Canar
Attraction details
Reviewed 8 August 2014

Having visited this market 10 years ago I was dismayed to find the arts & crafts very much in the minority of stalls now also I visited relatively early at 10:30 in the morning only to be met by heaving masses of people which made the experience as pleasurable as having teeth pulled.
If you value your sanity DO NOT visit the Hippy Market!!!

We went to the market early which meant it didn't feel too crowded. Was expecting it to be hot so was ready for it. Stalls are varied and the live music is great. Stopped for a hotdog which was delicious and cheaper than I expected. Kids area was a nice touch. Yes there are the stalls with the usual souviners but you will also find lovely handmade jewellery and ornaments. Glad we visited and would again on our next visit to Ibiza.

Great for buying gifts and a great day out for everyone. Excellent choice of handmade gifts made by local artisans. Get there early to secure a parking space as it get very busy.

We arrived around 1pm and the place was crowded. A lot of clothing and jewellery trade, not much '60 style items or displays. As a matter of fact, we enjoyed the hippy market in San Joan (every sunday) much more. Better suppliers and better clientèle (not so busy, and including lots of '60's friends so to speak).
