Love this place. Spent 2 special nights. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Perfect place to stay and go back. It's quiet but some small and nice entertainment happens around at night. People are friendly and the atmosphere is great. Want back

Easy come easy go. Really nice place of wooden spacious bungalows. Good shower and good bed. Beach in front. Great guys from the staff. Chilled out. Next to this meno is great to relax for a while 3 to 4 days is perfect.

I would like to give a honest and up to date review of the Gazebo Hotel Meno. My husband and I arrived to stay in Meno for 6 nights and had accommodation booked at another bungalow. We arrived at our original booking and were very disappointed and felt depressed at the size and standard we had booked and paid for. So the next day we decided to walk around the island and see what other accommodation was available. We came across the Gazebo Meno hotel and were enchanted by its location. Set in acres of lightly forested land including pine trees and tropical plants the exterior of the houses were a cross between little house on the prairie and the gingerbread house. We asked to see inside one of them and were so pleasantly surprised with the standard on offer we booked the room for the next 5 nights. The photos on the net are old and I must say the inside and outside of the cottages have had a facelift. It was large and spacious, had great air conditioning, mosquito net around the bed (which we did not need to use)
cupboards, a fixed safe, bar fridge etc. The furnishings were bright and colourful and had art work and Indonesian artifacts and furniture. It did not have tea or coffee making facilities but every morning the staff would bring us a tray with a pot of hot water and two cups and we made our own tea and coffee. The pool is large and is filled with fresh water and has plenty of beds to lounge on. It also has three private gazebos across the road on the beachfront with bean bag chairs and loungers just for the guests. The beach is perfect and gets very popular with other holiday makers. The owners are building a bar and the new restaurant should be up and running very soon. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The other wonderful thing about staying here was there were NO roosters and the noise from the Mosque could not be heard inside the houses. I am very fussy about where I stay which is why we moved from our first accommodation which I might add I booked after reading reviews on Trip advisor. I can highly recommend this place to stay if you want peace, tranquility, comfort and direct beachfront location. Also I might add it was cheaper than our previous accommodation that we had booked and left. Agoda did refund us our remaining 5 nights accommodation which then paid for this. Win win all round.

Room Tip: We had Gazebo no 2 but they are all so far apart I do not think it will matter which one you get.

First impressions as we walked towards gazebo meno: dilapidated bungalow and an empty swimming pool! Not a great start especially as we had specifically selected gazebo meno as it had a pool. Considering the price we paid we were sorely disappointed but as we found out accommadation on meno is generally of a poor standard and expensive. You really pay for the beach here (which is the best spot on the island) and the nice grounds the bungalows are situated on. The bungalow was large, more of a house really. Balcony both at the front and back. Very dark old furniture inside, a complete 70's time warp. Although aircon there were so many holes and gaps that even set at 18 degrees it barely kept the place cool. Bathroom was ok. Everything needs a complete over haul. Extremely disappointed that we paid full price and the pool was empty. On the plus side staff were friendly and breakfast ok. Accommadation Very poor value for money, would not stay here again.

Limitations: 1 No refreshments available during the day or evening. 2 Great care needed if wishing to swim - currents. 3 To snorkel need to go south to Hotel Biru Meno. 4. Because bugalows built of wood with slight gaps and being very spacious I suspect outside the dry season (April to September) the mossies will have a field day - albeit there are mosquito nets.
However, with aircon on all day, being the dry season AND having our own anti mossie pad we had no mosquitos!
On the plus side the staff were all terrific, the breakfasts - albeit only western available were good, the location generally very good and bedroom (linens etc) very well maintained.
Indeed - Wayan is a star!

Room Tip: Our room had a double and single bed. If just 2 of you take smaller room if avaiable.
