Here for 5 days & 4 nights.

Pros:
● Super friendly, polite and caring staff. They really go out of their way to help you and make sure you're ok :)
● Lush, beautiful coconut trees surround the grounds, making for quite a picturesque sight.
● Free local and Western breakfast every morning, freshly prepared whenever you're ready to dig in.
● Two bicycles per room provided for the duration of your stay.

Cons:
● Got a bit too hot in the middle of the day and the a/c struggled to keep up.
● Location was a little too far away from the island's beaches and restaurants for our liking. The bikes came in extremely handy though.
● No street lights at all on a substantial stretch of the road leading to/from the hotel. It was completely pitch black at night and we had to light the way with our phones while pushing our bikes instead of being able to ride them (there was no way to mount our phones on the bikes and we didn't want to risk falling over on a pony poop-filled dirt path lol). This made us a quite hesitant to head out on some nights. This is in no way the fault of the hotel, but I still think that it's something that fellow travellers should be aware of. Hopefully the local government will look into getting those street lights up real soon.

Overall, it was a pretty decent stay for us. Big thanks to Pandi, Adi and team for the warm smiles and for taking good care of us!

We had a great week staying at Island Beach in August 2017 as part of a wider tour of Indonesia. Gili Trawangan is a beautiful island and our hotel was an oasis of calm and tranquility - it really is as lovely as the pictures! Service was excellent and staff were attentive and friendly - some of the best we have come across. The place felt homely and staff quickly learned our names and greeted us each time we arrived or left. The manager was away when we arrived but on his return he introduced himself and ensured we had everything we needed (which we had!). We were given good advice for activities on the Gili Islands that we expressed an interest in doing. Free bikes were great for getting around and there were lots of choices at breakfast. Tea and coffee in the afternoon was a nice touch. Overall, we would highly recommend this place as affordable luxury on Gili Trawangan!
