There are not so many excellent options on this small island, however I'm sure that Luce is between the 3 best options there. One of the most exciting experiences Ive ever had about the staff, as they're so kind and happy always trying to make you feel happy too, "no worries, they keep saying". For sure if I ever go back to this paradise Island I'll go to this fabulous place. One important thing about its location is that it is not seaview, you have to ride your bike around3 or 4 minutes to reach the seafront, however the hotel provides you with 2 bikes per room, so its very cool to ride your bike and check the island. You can complete the round trip on the island in 1 and a half hour not going fast and check the great landscapes, take some pics, snorkel and for sure, going to the viewpoint over the hill its a great option as well. Besides all of this, Luce provides you with its own private beach, where you can go snorkeling or simply drink a icy cold beer in front of the beach, just for guests. If youre looking for some party, dont loose your time, on the low season Sama-Sama bar is the palce.

Room Tip: If you can, take the private pool room, its the best one, with a pool just for you.

We chose this hotel, based on the nice Pictures of the hotel and the good reviews. We spent 4 days here and were really pleased with our choice. The hotel is well-managed with warm, friendly staff who seem to enjoy working at the hotel. The rooms and the pool fully lived up to the Pictures and the staff was always painting, fixing the garden etc in order to ensure that the hotel keeps it's good look and atmosphere. Even though the hotel is situated away from the sea, it is easy to move around the Island - thank's to the excellent bike service at the hotel.
The only thing that could be improved would be to provide fresh juice for breakfast.

Room Tip: If you travel with Young children, choose a room at the far end of the pool, where the pool is shallow. You can then sit and relax on your private terrasse while watching your kid safely "swim" around in the pool.

Like other reviewers in January, we decided to stay here after reading good things about the place. We were very happy with our choice and would have loved to have stayed longer! All the staff members we met were very kind and attentive to our needs, reflecting excellent training and following the example of the manager/owner. The walk to the busy areas is about 10 minutes--and it takes about the same time to follow a different path to the deserted beaches on the north side. We walked around to the busy area, which took an hour+, and decided we liked the northern beaches better. It was great to be able to reach both areas from our hotel. The deluxe cottage room we had was very large and included an elegant bathroom. There are also private villas w/1 or 2 bedrooms that are incredible in size and decoration. The spa treatment enjoyed--a back, shoulder and neck massage--was excellent. While there are many cheaper places to stay, there are few as enjoyable as we found Luce d'Alma!

We chose this hotel because it was well reviewed and a little away from the backpacker strip, and we weren't disappointed! The staff and manager/owner are incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly; we had lots of nice conversations by the pool, at the beachside bar and having breakfast. The food at breakfast was great, omelettes and pancakes both excellent, as was the cake of the day! Food offered for lunch and dinner was a little average but we preferred to eat out at one of the many excellent restaurants along the front. The free bikes for hire was a great touch and made getting out and about much quicker and a lovely way to explore Gili T. The rooms were huge, very tastefully appointed and extremely well designed opening straight out onto the amazing pool! All in all this is a great base from which to explore Gili T, especially if you want to be a little bit away from the bustling backpacker strip. Would happily return here on our next visit

This is one of the best places to stay at for couples that want some luxury that most of the places on Gili T will not provide. The rooms are well designed and spacious with a sliding door that opens direct access to the pool which is great for taking a dip at anytime of the day.

The service and staff were very helpful and great during our entire stay. The food is reasonable, but the banana pancakes for breakfast are very good.

The hotel has its own beach front lounge chairs which is very convenient. The swimming area is very good, although it is still a bit rocky, however, better then on the south end of the Island.

A big drawback is the location of the hotel, its really inconvenient as it is a 7-8minute bike ride on a terrible road with bad bicycles. Only other mentionable thing is the low pressure in the shower, but this seems to be an island wide problem.

Overall, a great hotel, with great service and pool in an inconvenient location.
