We stayed here for 4 nights for our honeymoon. It is a brilliant little hotel and we recommend it highly. The highlight was the breakfasts which were very tasty and filling and some of the options were really imaginative! It's also a nice place to have dinner in the evenings, particularly if you can get a table right next to the beach. All staff were very friendly and gave useful advice on things to do in the area. Only downside was the (occasional) all-night parties at the Surf bar next door, however the hotel staff were very apologetic about this and the free earplugs that they provided drowned out most of the noise! Would definitely go back.

We stayed at Gili Trawangan as our booking at Mahamaya Meno was mixed up. Overall decent hotel, we stayed for 2 nights at Asoka and Sakura. Pool was nice, Villa and room size were ok. Speedboad for pickup was managed by the hotel at reasonable price for us, travelling with 4 adults and 3 young kids. We did not like the beach as it was full of sharp corrals debris.

But what disappointing for us was the island itself. I think the Island is too crowded already, with tonnes of boats docking at the main beach while the beach was also full of people sun bathing. Food was generally expensive at Trawangan, except at the night market. Not great for family and for us, not relaxing at all. Also, as expected, several blackouts happened during our stay, while water pump went down during our last morning.

We stayed for three nights in Asoka villa. The place was clean, spacey, good sized private pool and in the perfect location. The staff were always willing to help with any queries we had. The breakfast was amazing and very generous & fresh. We will definitely come back to stay and recommend to others.

This place is an absolute gem! I would not stay any where else on Gili T. The restaurant at the resort was the best on the island, my friend's and I ended up eating all our meals there it was that good! I cant wait to go back :)

We had the fortune of staying at Ko-Ko-Mo for just under a week and I can safely say it wasn't close to long enough.

We were greeted by the friendly and charming staff who remembered our names from the moment we arrived and greeted us with their warmth as soon as they saw us coming their way every single day.

We stayed into a 2 bedroom villa that offered serious comfort; our very own private plunge pool and a living space that meant we really didn't want to leave except for the doorstop of stunning blue waters and the chance to see one of the incredible island sunsets

The resort's selection of food was broad enough to cover multiple tastes but simple enough to be served up perfectly. Tasty to say the least.

The fast boat from Bali across to the island was one of the easiest and most efficient transport options I came across over there. Offering views of the bluest waters I have ever seen along with multiple cameo appearances by a pod of dolphins it was certainly a cruisey way to start and end a cruisey holiday in paradise.

We would most definitely recommend Ko-Ko-Mo Resort and Gilli T to anyone; If you've been to Bali, once, twice or multiple times or never been at all Ko-Ko-Mo at Gilli T offers the perfect island escape with an unaffected luxury and the friendliest and on mark service we have encountered in a very long time.

Room Tip: We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which was fantastic - highly recommended!

Thank you for your glowing review, and we are all so happy that your stay was so perfect at ko-ko-mo

And yes, ko-ko-mo always uses Gili Getaway as our transport to and from the island as we also find them the most efficient and reliable, and guests arrive, like you, already prepared for a great holiday if they have a good crossing by fastboat

We really enjoyed having you stay with us and hope to see you back at ko-ko-mo next trip
Wam wishes

After changing our honeymoon last minute (due to the military coup in Thailand), we were fortunate enough to book the last 2 room villa in the KoKoMo resort. We only really needed a 1 bedroom, but were happy to book anything at all at that point.

Upon arriving, the staff provided us with a welcome drink, which was much appreciated after our 30+ hours of traveling. We entered the villa to be pleasantly surprised with the decor and amenities. For our honeymoon, they provided us with a bottle of wine, fruit basket and flower display on the bed. The plunge pool was beautiful and perfect for the hot, humid Gili days. The lounge area was quite warm as it was open-air, but the fans helped move the air. The bedroom was air conditioned and quite cool. The bathroom was also open air, which we would have preferred to have A/C, but did not take away from the overall experience.

They dining area was beautiful. Breakfast was included in our room price every day. It was a great, huge meal that kept us full in to late in the afternoon. The eating area was beautiful and romantic overlooking the water.

The staff was very helpful and friendly with fairly good English. One of the staff, Usman, helped us set up a day trip and catered to whatever needs we had.

KoKoMo was definitely a luxury retreat away from the more rustic Gili strip. If we ever make it back to Gili, we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms further back are quieter. There was a dark moon party one night of our stay. The hotel provide...

We were fortunate enough to get the last villa at Ko-Ko-Mo after we were royally screwed over for our honeymoon by Hotel Villa Ombak. Villa Ombak had deceived us about what room we were getting for what we’d paid and then proceeded to lie and make up every excuse possible to get us to stay there in an inferior room. They even tried to ‘compensate’ us by downgrading us into a lower level room when we decided to not take the room/dump they put us in. This is the short version because we are writing a separate review on Villa Ombak’s page. If you are honeymooning on Gili T or looking for an option to honeymoon from Bali or Lombok, DO NOT go to Villa Ombak, JUST GO TO KO-KO-MO!!!!
Basically, from our experience and research, this is unique, smaller scale boutique accommodation on another level to what’s available elsewhere on the island. We didn’t want to leave and definitely want to come back for our Anniversary next year (or sooner if possible)!
The staff are friendly and attentive and make Ko-Ko-Mo amazing, especially compared to what we saw at Villa Ombak where they seem to be in shell shock from constant complaints of guests. The staff at Ko-Ko-Mo are exceptionally good and make an effort to get to know you without crossing the line of intruding on your holiday. They always went out of their way for us and this was exemplified in the amazing set up they created for a special dinner for us on our last night staying there. We had nice chats with the staff every day and always looked forward to seeing their smiling faces.
The accommodation is exactly what you expect and more in a higher end private villa in Bali. We stayed in a 2 Bed Villa (second identical room remained locked as we only had paid for 1 bedroom). The outdoors area which includes a private plunge pool is incredible. Perfect for a honeymoon. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed and excellent a/c, the bathroom was nice and partly outdoors (like all villas we stayed at). The difference with the outdoor shower at Ko-Ko-Mo is that it is more ventilated then what we saw at Villa Ombak (which in that heat… you need!!!) The shower and pool is freshwater. Apparently this is better and not guaranteed in other accommodation. The main feature of the accommodation is the outdoor living area with the pool, sun lounges, lounge suite, television, dining table, bar/mini kitchen and fans to keep the air moving outside. It’s a lovely space that is completely self-contained so you don’t need to leave if you don’t want to.
We enjoyed having a 4 or 5 course breakfast delivered to us daily so much that we never made it to the restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast menu options were great. We had a few of the meals as room service and our favourites were the duck ravioli, the snapper in banana leaf and the prawns. The mud crab ravioli was a bit strong. We dined out at other venues a fair bit as many of the days we just laid around in the sun by our private pool.
The location is good because it’s not right in the very busy section of the beach but is still part of it. We were happier once we got push bikes (make sure you get one with a basket to put your things in). Ko-Ko-Mo is next door to Pearl Lounge Bar where we regularly enjoyed delicious cocktails by the beach. Despite its location, it can get noisy at night. There was a private party out by the beach one night and another night, the venue next door had their weekly party night. The sound bounced off the wall of the next villa into ours. Our bedroom was still pretty quiet despite all this and earplugs all but eliminate the sound. We think this would be an issue in most accommodation in the main section of the island as the parties rotate from bar to bar, night after night on this island.
We think the key thing to understand about Ko-Ko-Mo is that it just feels really nice. It’s a peaceful, friendly, quality experience and we can’t recommend it highly enough. The staff make this hotel a genuinely positive place to spend your time. They are happy to help however they can and greet you day after day with huge smiles on their faces. The accommodation is incredible value for money at Ko-Ko-Mo, we were surprised this place didn’t break the bank balance.

Room Tip: We stayed in Villa Anggrek, this would be perfect for 2 couples or a small family.

Hi Christine

Firstly can we wish you all the very best for an amazing married life together

We are so glad, when you were let down by the other property, that you chose us, and that we had availability. And even more thrilled that this contributed to making your honeymoon experience such a positive one. We are proud of our staff and the wonderful thing about them is that their attitude and their desire to help is genuine and comes from them and the lovely, caring people they are. It's great that you also saw and felt this and this added to your sense of feeling so welcome at ko-ko-mo

We look forward to seeing you for your first anniversary and just want to say thank you for the lovely review
