We had a fantastic stay (4 nights) in this villa. Situated on the north of the island (700m from the beaches) and 1.3 from the harbor.
Great staff and service, private pool, very clean and maintained, properly working fans and airco and great freshly made breakfast. A good operating fridge and even a little outside kitchen. Very comfortable beds and hardly any inconvenience from mosquitoes.
From this place on this little island everything is very good accessible by foot (turtle beach and the sunset area).
Room is cleaned on a daily base and the pool also regularly.
They have also laundry service for 25000.
Sometimes the power goes down and you have no warm water but not that uncommon in this part of the world. They have a generator so the basics keep working.
The private pool is large and great to swim some lanes or play ball.
Also WiFi is working decently.
To set the context, wanted to be located a bit away from the Gili Air "action center" to better experience a more private and peaceful stay. While still very close to the beach, restaurants, and activities, this location provided the experience of the more natural environment of Gili Air. We immediately knew we had chosen the perfect location, when our horse cart transport from the Port, turned onto a narrow dirt road surrounded by ungroomed coconut trees and flowering bushes.
Once quickly checked in and escorted to our villa, were absolutely amazed by the fenced in pristine private pool surrounded by casual and comfortable after swimming lounge furniture. Next to the pool was a "Thatched Roofed "great room" containing open air kitchen, dining, reading and TV watching areas. The bedrooms were immaculate, provided Air Conditioning and comprised both king and twin bed sleeping capacity. Both bedrooms were adjoined to an al fresco well appointed bathroom.
And just to add to the "paradise" experience, individual breakfast choices (Indonesian or Western) were delivered directly to the villa every morning at the agreed upon time. The privacy, peacefulness, villa amenities, clean and private private pool, showering under the stars and breakfast delivery gave us the feeling of truly being in an island paradise.
Equally importantly was the hospitality of the staff. Their "can do", friendly, and helpful approach was most appreciated and added to the exceptional experience.
While personally physically challenged was still able to stay walk some of the natural paths to the closest beach etc. Then whenever needed, the staff would call for a "horse carts" (the taxi of of Gili Air).
There are many activities (snorkeling, scuba diving, amazing restaurants, massage businesses, etc) available on Gili Air; but this villa is so perfect, one needs to get motivated to leave and take in all the available activities.
We had the 2 bedroom and also extended the stay to a one bedroom. Both villas were gorgeous, Cool and well placed for the beach but in a quiet spot. Lovely kind staff who went the extra mile to help us. They made our stay very easy. They were understanding about arrangements and changes due to diving.
I would highly recommend these villas as a place with a bit extra comfort rather than the traditional bungalow.
Had the most amazing time at these beautiful villas with my husband and our 2 year old son. We had a two bedroom villa for 3 nights and could have easily stayed another week. The staff for so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Breakfast is cooked in your villa right in front of you and is delicious! It's about a 15 minute walk from the main shops/port, but yoi can easily get around the island with bikes or by horse and cart. It's also right near the restuarant Pachamas which has amazing food. The villas are fairly new and modern, and the plunge pool is fantastic. Would definitely recommend! Thanks to Haddy and all the staff for a wonderful stay :)
Myself and my family stayed here for 3 nights. Absolutely loved it. Lovely big rooms each room sleeps 3 comfortably. The staff were beyond friendly. It was my mams birthday and they made her a birthday cake and all came into the villa to sing her happy birthday.
Its the best breakfast we have had that have been provided by any villas we have stayed in. Sheet and towels changed every day. Lovely cold pool also and strong wifi.
I would recommend that you rent bikes once you get off the boat and get a horse to bring down your bags. We used our bikes every day to get around the island.
It was absolutely amazing! Everything was better than expected! So spacious, amazing pool, perfect interior decorating! Staff amazingly helpful! Absolutely worth it to spend a bit more on this!
Our family - 2 adults and 3 kids aged 8, 12 and 15 - stayed at Akasia villa for 2 whole weeks (lucky us) . Due to a flight delay, we arrived at the jetty in the dark, but the manager had arranged for staff to meet us and we took a "cidomo" horse cart to the property. The villas is situated at the quieter top end of the island and is tucked down a little path in the coconut grove - hidden away and perfectly peaceful!
Conveniently nearby is a little grocery store (Joanna's), a fantastic restaurant which also offers bike hire (Sada's Terrace) , a great dive centre (Blue Marine) and one of the best turtle snorkelling beaches on the island. All are within a 10 minute walk.
The villa has been stylishly furnished, with comfortable beds and a lovely pool. The site is compact, but the living accommodation is practical and you can prepare meals if you want.
Everywhere was very clean, and the friendly staff came and serviced daily.
Highly recommended accommodation - thanks so much Saleh and Sup !!
