The location is really good - across the road from a good beach and an easy stroll to the main part of Tigaki. The hotel is very clean and well presented. The bar area is attractive, very modern and comfortable. The snack bar serves excellent breakfasts and lunches. Under the bar is a very well equiped Internet Cafe.
The staff really exceed all expectations though - they are a friendly team who seem willing to do anything to help.
The rooms are small but adequate as there is a large balcony. All the equipment in th eroom was modern and in good condition. The towels were Egyptian Cotton and were the best we have had in a small hotel. The cleaning could not be faulted.
Once a week there is a barbeque and some entertainment. Whilst I usually avoid this type of event, it was a real pleasure to see the staff and family throwing themselves into making the event really enjoyable - and enjoying themselves in the process.
The pool was very clean and for much of the time fairly quiet.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel to my friends and family. It is a real gem.

An Amazing hotel excellent value for money. The staff of Akti Dimmys are the most helpful and friendly you can get. Just had our 3rd visit to this hotel and intend to return year after year like most people that stay at Aktis. Clean rooms, fresh towels daily and a lovely swimming pool. Yes you have to pay for the sunbeds on the beach but everywhere in Tingaki is the same and they are well worth it as it is a beautful beach. BBQ night is a fantastic evening and a good laugh. We made some lovely friends who we hope to see next year. Our 3 year old Katie had a fantastic holiday too. See you all again June 2011 for another fantastic holiday!!

Having been charged 50 euros for 1 week's use of air conditioning (x2 as we had 1 room for us and 1 room for our daughter and her friend) but being told this (very high price) was due to the cost of electricity, we were then floored by the charge of 20 euros for the hire of a safety deposit box (no utility company to blame for profiteering there! ) We were then charged 5 euros a day for the hire of 2 sunbeds - 10 euros for us as a party of 4 making 70 euros for the week - a very goodly amount of money to fork out just to hire sunbeds!! The rooms were the smallest I have ever come across - made smaller by the shoehorning in of a 3rd bed in order to charge an under-occupancy charge. We were kept awake until the early hours by a neighbouring bar which clearly thought it was in Apia Nappa - this was so bad that the police were called out on one night at 2.30am to stop them. On the
plus side however - the staff are friendly, the hotel serves great food and the location is fantastic - just across the road from a great beach and with the bus stop to Kos just outside. Skala resturant just down the road is the best - fantastic staff and fantastic food - we had some wonderful nights/food there - recommend sitting facing the square and watching the world go by whilst sipping a drink. All-in-all it is hard to decide whether to recommend or not - depends whether you mind being fleeced and then kept awake at night by a combination of uncomfortable beds and very loud music - it may be that all the hotels in the area are similar.

Stayed here in May and during transfer go slightly worried when dropping other people off at their hotels. We shouldn`t have been when dropped off our faces lit up how wonderful. Rooms are basic but exceptionaly clean this is a 2 star but wow. Never saw a cleaner so think fairy`s came i the night. Just over road from the beach which we paid 5 euro`s per day for sun beds weel wort it. There is a pool but we chose the beach. Great staff work really hard cocktail wonderful. Just a short walk into town for evening meals food excellent. Hired 2 bikes and rode into Kos town which was great fun. Looked into adopting a dog we found on beach but would have cost too much which was such a shame as we had fallen in love with her. Would definately reccomend this hotel you are in for a right treat.

My husband and I have just returned from akti dimmys after a seven night stay. As a travel agent with a reputable tour company we have visited many package destinations. and this holiday proved to be a perfect location for relaxing. The 6miles long sandy beach is directly opposite the apartments and the pool within the complex is kept in immaculate condition. The staff are happy to help at all times and the snack bar sells tasty and reasonably priced food throughout the day and early evening. The room we stayed in was a studio overlooking a rose garden and although quite small it was kept very clean with maids visiting every other day with clean towels. we travelled around kos and in our opinion Tingaki is probably one of the nicest resortbs within Kos ,although Kos town is certainly worth a visit. My husband and I hired a beach buggy and visited the hot thermal springs which was a truly wonderful experience.....don't delay book now!!!

Stayed at Akti Dimi's with my sister and auntie for 1 week. We had a 1-bed apt which had 2 beds in one room and another bed in the kitchen area, it was smallish but had everything we needed - hate when people complain about their room and kitchen - you don't go on holiday to stay in your room and cook!!! Great location right opposite a lovely beach, beds are 2 euro's 50 each. It was very hot and rather windy but better than the rain we left back in England! At the hotel we mostly ate souvlaki with greek salad and drank freshly squeezed orange juice, gorgeous! The staff are so lovely and make you feel welcome - BBQ night was great! I agree with the previous review re furniture at 6.30am - no idea!

On our 1st night we ate at Espero's - probably the best of our meals too - swordfish was perfect and the staff were very nice. Ate at Rodini's on the back of other reviews but to be honest it wasn't so great (they'd run out of kleftico before 8.30pm for a start so i had fish and it was overcooked). We had lovely meals at Dana's on the seafront and took a taxi to Ambeli - a traditional tavera surrounded by it's own vineyard tucked up a little lane, very nice.

We visited Kos Town for a meal one evening, fabulous harbour but got bored with it. We went on 2 trips - the greek night at Fantasia up at Zia and the lazy day cruise/3 island hop - we visited Kalymnos, Pserimos and Vathi. Both trips were brilliant and inc lots of yummy food. The sunset from Zia is amazing! I would recommend Akti Dimi's and Tingaki, we had a very relaxing holiday :)

These apartments are ideal! Beach right across the road, supermarket on the doorstep, clean rooms and a beautiful pool. I will definatly return.
The only down side was the karaoke which kept me awake! and the dragging around of furniture at 6.30 every morning- not sure if it was above me or in the social area- but maybe a different room would be quieter.
