I had an apartment for two people on the ground floor of one of the three blocks. I had a nice view of the mountains and the salt lake from my terrace. I travelled in August and will recommend you pay the 6 euros a night for air con, the first half of my week I did not and just had the patio door open with the bug screen across, but alas it did not keep the bugs out! I had 2 occasions of trying to herd massive roach looking beetles out my room! For a self catering apartment the cooking facilities were rubbish. I had a fork a spoon and a dodgy bread knife and a frying pan as the only utensils that were useable, if you come here bring a kettle! Bathroom was not bad, although the shower head did not have a hook on the wall to put it in, so had to hold it all the time. Had plenty of hot water in the shower, but not in either of the sinks. The swimming pool in this place is definitely the best feature, nice and clean with plenty of loungers, but not much shade. The pool bar seemed to be open all day for food and drink, although I did not try myself except for a drink in the evenings to use the wifi that is only available in the bar/reception area. The apartments are right at the end of the road to the salt lake, it was a good 10 minute walk to the town and a bit more to reach the beach. Must say that as a lone traveller walking back in the dark was a bit unnerving.
Overall, not a bad place, but wouldn't be my first choice if I were to return to Tigaki.

Booked 2 rooms at these apartments for a 7 night stay. When we arrive at reception the woman said they were very busy and we were to stay in apartments 50 metres away. It turned out to be a single storey block 400 metres away!! A block of 12 rooms we occupied no. 1 and 9. The other rooms were occupied by people working in the surrounding area. The room was fairly large but unsuitable for rental accommodation. The drain in the shower area smelt disgusting in no. 1. There was a small shower tray about 2 feet square with a hand shower with no hook to hang it on. there was no curtain or fixings for a curtain so when we showered the whole room got soaked. This shower area is in the middle of the room so no window to help ventilation and the drying water made the smell even worse. We were plagued by ant in the area around the sink and spare bed area. The view out of the window was of drying towels from the apartments washroom. We were 400 metres from the main accommodation - the pool, bar, other holiday makers, internet connection. We complained for 3 days about this and finally they offered us 2 rooms at the main block. these, to be fair, were quite good for greek standards. The other good point was the pool was never busy. Even though the apartments were full, always plenty of sunbeds. This was probably because the food in the bar area was dreadful!! Truely. Have you ever tried eating spaghetti with a sauce solely consisting of tomato ketchup? Awful. So I assume people just went out to the beach or other places to bathe and swim. Seriously - be very careful if you are tempted to stay here. You would hate the single block we had to endure for 4 nights. There are plenty of other places around Tingaki that are far better than this. They ruined the only foreign holiday we are able to take this year. Disgraceful - you have been warned.

Completely agree with Hollyuppatree. Holiday on Greece a lot and completely expect basic facilities so the room itself wasn't an issue. However, the room wasn't 'cleaned' once during our stay. The beds were made almost every day and towels and sheets changed once a week, but that was the extent of it. Under the beds etc had clearly not been swept in some time. The kitchen area is very basic and dated and again, not clean. Our shower was freezing cold every night but given that it was extremely hot during July this didn't cause us too much pain, but still it would have been nice to have the option of a warm shower...
AC is a must and is reasonably priced at 6 euro per night. The pool area is lovely and clean and the location itself is nicely tucked away from the main strip with fabulous views of the sunsets over the lake.
The management team are not the friendliest it has to be said. In fact, probably the most inhospitable hoteliers we have ever encountered on all of our many Greek holidays which was a real shame. Tigaki is lovely but there are much nicer places to stay than the Oasis.

Oasis hotel is small & tucked out of the way near a salt lake. It's advertised as a three star accommodation & the photos will make you think that...in reality we had a dark dingy room, an extremely cold shower (every night), no kettle, a small old two ringed hob that was painstakingly slow to cook anything on, a toilet that wouldn't refill after flushing & beds that make the beach massages an absolute must for back survival. Hotel grounds & pool area are clean & presentable, but the sunbeds are extremely uncomfortable & make the 3€ day rate for a matressed sunbed & bendable brolly at the beach a very small price to pay for complete relaxation with lovely beach & sea views. We had a fantastic week away & will definitely go back to Tigaki, but there is better quality accommodation for around the same price we paid.

an older property, basic but comfortable facilities. if you are looking for a 5* full kitchen/self catering facility this isn't it. However, it's all relative to what you are looking for and for us and the price was everything we hoped for and better than expected. Paying £189 for the week incl flight, taxes, baggage & transfer you have to wonder how much the owners receive out of that and how they make a living. We found them all friendly and welcoming. We had room 32, basic and cleaned daily, bedding and towels changed every other day. Size about everage I'd say, with 3 beds, enough wardrobe/drawer space for 2 of us, table, chairs, small kitchen area with fridge, cupboards, sink, 2 ring hot plate. Not the kitchen to make gourmet dinners, but was sufficient for what we wanted/needed. I'd read on trip adviser beforehand a recommendation to take a travel kettle and am glad I did as it was quicker than boiling a pan of water, but if I hadn't it wouldn't have been the end of the world. Average size balcony with table and 2 chairs, lovely views across the fields to the main strip of Tigaki and from the front across the salt marsh to the aegean and mountains beyond with beautiful sunsets. Air con 6 euros pd and worth paying. Check out was 12 noon but we were able to extend the room on day of departure to 7pm for 25 euros, again worth it as we were able to relax and properly enjoy the last day. Pool area was very clean, plenty of sunbeds but no mattresses for them so many people had bought lilos to put on them, we didn't bother though and it was OK for a week. To my delight there were no water slides and nobody trying to get me to do "volley ball volley ball in the pool" or other such annoying activities every 5 minutes ! May have been the time we were there but no children, no loud 20 somethings, very quiet and relaxing. Think a lot of guests spent most days at the beach, max number of people I saw round the pool was 17, most days less than that and one day there was just the 2 of us til after lunch. The hotel is situated on a road off the main strip in Tigaki, it's the last on the road, in a peaceful location. Only a 5 minute walk to the main strip and the supermarket so best of both worlds. we ate out every night and lots of lovely restaurants, prices not that different from UK, The More Meni restaurant and cocktail bar are just over 5 mins away and recommended. 10 minute walk to the beach and nice walks around the salt marsh (depending on when you visit, watch out for migrating flamingos). If going out in an evening useful to have a torch for the last few hundred yards back to the hotel but not a busy road so safe to walk. If you've got young kids that need a lot of entertainment or expect something akin to the Burj Khalifa this isn't for you, but last minute and on a budget we wanted something quiet, simple and relaxing where we'd be left in peace to enjoy our R&R and that's exactly what we got, the Oasis ticked all the boxes for us and was exceptional value for what we paid.

Room Tip: top floor probably best for the views. Didn't see any rooms apart from own so difficult to say

Just got back from a weeks stay at the oasis, what can I say, one of the best holidays ever! Rooms are basic (as with most places in Greece) but very clean. One of the best pools ever and the team of vasilis, yani Sebastian and George were wonderful and really looked after us. Everything was soooooo laid back you can't do anything other than have a fun and relaxing time ...... Thanks guys for a fantastic stay we will definitely be back xx (oh and I hope George's goat returned from his little trip to the beech :-)

The best things about oasis are the owner, vasilis, his nephew Sebastian and the rest of the family but then I would have to give them 11 out of 10 as everything else deserves 10 out of 10. It is set in a stunning location within beautiful gardens and has a fantastic pool. Rooms are well equipped and tastefully furnished to reflect the environment. Beach is very close by and accessed via path around salt lake. Definitely would recommend this accommodations will
