“stinks of smoke, you'll be coughing and spluttering”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

This hotel is gaudy and full of rude people. I have NO idea why the hotel allows people to smoke everywhere. It completely ruins your impression of the building, which lets be honest, is quite impressive. The ONLY saving grace of this hotel is the food. We ate in the noodle corner and the meal was really good, cheap and in good surroundings. I'd eat here again but even walking through to the eateries I'd be holding my breath from the cloud of cigarette smoke. Steer clear!

Well equipped room! For this business trip we were offered a junior suite to share between two of us, size of bed is good, the view from the room is good and I was surprised we have in-room Steam and jacuzzi bath tub.

The swimming pool and gym are also in very good condition, spacious and good location, no doubt i wanna be back again!

Oh yes, drinks at mini bar is FREE!

Lastly, good place for foodie too, 2 3-michelin starred outlet and 1 1-michelin starred outlet inside the hotel. Best Chinese restaurant in Macau forsure!

I prefer The older part of macau where you can find a blend of both historic places as well as flashy casinos. I stayed in the hotel for 3 days. The interior is contemporary old style with several shops and restaurants inside. If you prefer a hard core macau experience, then this is the place to stay!

It was a very good stay. The room is very big and all the minibar contents are free of charge.
The bathroom is just fabulous. It has a computerized shower and bath with a steamer. Very relaxing. The only thing that was missing was one more hanger for the towels. Couples usually stay in hotel rooms so why just one hanger? What would you do with your wet towel? So that's was kind of a no brainer. But all the servants knew my name and were very kind and helpful. Well located and just very nice to stay. I would welcome the opportunity to stay here someday again.

We found it to be the most impressive hotel in the continental part of Macau, providing a great authentic taste of the city!
The whole hotel is luxurious: external look (especially at night), lobby, mid-level restaurants, corridors, and of course rooms. The water view is worth every dollar!
Large and comfortable bed. A stylish bathroom with in-mirror TV, Jacuzzi bath and sauna.
Good variety of restaurants.
Still, there are some downsides worth mentioning, which caused me to give a 4 grade, though I wish I could give this hotel a 5:
1. We stayed in the hotel in winter and experienced terribly cold wind penetrating the room via the external windows. Had to completely shut the curtains down - what a pity with such a view!
2. Like in the other hotels, the free shuttle bus service is provided, but here it is the poorest one. Small outdated buses, inconvenient to use with luggage. Long waits and no destinations in the city, besides the ferry terminal.
3. No breakfast package offered.
4. The Web site is not friendly enough. The room types descriptions are not clear, and do not correlate with the reservation system options. Had no choice, but to order via e-mail.
5. Cannot get a commitment for a non-smoking room.
Despite all this, the hotel provides a great value and is highly recommended!

Room Tip: The lake view is worth every dollar!

Location is good if you want to walk to old Portugese section and some of the classic casino hotels, the Wynn, MGM. The Casino itself is basic - too much baccarat and not much else. The room itself is very nice with large bath room, great view, and plenty of space. Needs better transportation system to other hotels, sights, casinos - especially when it gets hot. Taxis are ok, but the lines are long. Pool is ok - but not much view.

The hotel is very luxurious. There is jacuzzi and dry and steam sauna room in our corner room! however, do not expect any good service from this hotel. It was also packed with guests with no manners or etiquette, who were loud and rude and gave no attention to the no-smoking signs. It is definitely not a nice experience staying at this hotel (we booked last minute and this was the only available "luxury hotel" - I won't recommend to anyone to staying here unless you like rooms and corridors filled with smoke and running into prostitutes in lifts/casino.

however - I would recommend giving the Robuchon au Dome a try. Service and view was excellent and the food was pretty good. I will definitely eat there again next time when I visit Macau.
