Went there for the Pacquiao boxing weekend. Had a wonderful suite. All staff were very attentive and tithe point. If all the 5 star hotels could be like this leading example?

(Small wish still from my side: please have a look at the internet speed, that is definitely something you can improve)

Dropped by the Four Seasons for 3 nights with the wifey for a short getaway. I've stayed in similar level hotels in other countries, and i was still impressed by the staff on many levels (bellboys, concierge, managers, etc) in terms of service and professionalism. They were courteous, helpful and spoke good english. The good training of the staff started from the ferry terminal, to check-in to our room and even check-out. The management totally 'gets it' here.

The room itself was clean and came with a lot of nice amenities, like the nespresso machine and toiletries (l'occitane). All the toiletries were in generous amounts and of better quality than most places (e.g. bulgari bath salts). They've paid attention to detail and it was an extremely enjoyable stay.

It's a tiny bit further away from the other major casinos like the Venetian, which was a good thing since we were not heavy gamblers and welcomed not always having to pass through the clouds of smoke coming out from there. Would definitely recommend it for couples wanting a short getaway trip or stopover.

It's true that Four Seasons Macau is quite dated and may need refurbishment of some of its facilities but the hotel's historic building stands in stark difference with the other new soulless towers. I believe the same applies to its unrivaled standard of service. The staff's smallest attention to detail and the hotel's unique catering to families with children places them a head and shoulder above the rest.

Stayed for 1 night in Four Seasons Macau. For the price that I paid, and also in comparison with other hotel in Macau, I truly expect a better facility.
It is true that all is 5 stars quality, but the problem is compared to other hotel in Macau, then you will have a gap in terms of performance.
Other hotels, someway somehow have extra facility, but four season its just another hotel without any attraction.
Location wise is nice, staff is very2 good. But as I said, it could have been better

Have always wanted to try out any of the fabled Four Seasons properties and decided to splurge at the Four Seasons at Macao. Happened to be a special day for my little daughter and the staff made it so very special. Right from the moment we were at the front desk my little princess was made to feel like one. It is the muffins and cakes, her very own size bath robe, disney toothbrush and what not to have her floored. Also got a great upgrade !

Having tried all of the other high end properties in Macau i was always dismayed by the shocking levels of service (e.g. Banyan tree) . Well, the FS Macau was a very pleasant surprise.. not only did start with an upgrade to a suite (ok that happened in other places - Kiwi collection bookings help), but the service was just super super attentive throughout our stay; consistently. At breakfast we were never short of drinks, things were offered and brought promptly. Each time we were doing anything we were being escorted/helped out by at least 2 (and sometimes 3!) people. It seems that the culture of great service has been instilled into absolutely everyone, from the reception to the taxi marshall. Their casino is the most civilised casino in Macau - quite intimate, the right level of lighting, free drinks that are offered continuously (that includes some pretty expensive bottles), non-offensive deco. And the pools! Yes - 5 lovely pools - one of them landcaped in a kind of a tropical way.. and the hotel is pretty quiet compared to all the surrounding propoerties. All in all - couldn't be happier. Aman-style service. Will be back over and over again.

I wouldn't say it was completely disappointing but I would say there were a few flaws and I would not expect that happen for Four Seasons(not even in other 5-star hotels). Here is some experience I had(and to be fair, there is some good experience as well),

Afternoon tea in Windows Restaurant
The tea set was nicely presented just as the tea set in other 5-star hotels. The taste of each did has a good mix of different food component and texture. However, there was some annoying black flying insect around the dish even we were sitting in-door. It was hard to drive the insect away and it just flied through some of the food...

In-room Romantic Setup
I have ordered some romantic setup provided by the hotel to celebrate my anniversary but they just set it up incorrectly and some parts were missing! No staff noticed that and I had to call them to ask them checked what happened. They found it was their staff's mistake and ended up giving apology and waived the set up fee(~USD100). I would say their service on handling issue was pretty good as I need not to ask for apology but that was just a bit disappointing to have things gone wrong for the anniversary.

Room Amenities
They knew I was celebrating my anniversary and they offered a cake with "Happy Anniversary" together a bottle of champagne in my room as a little surprise to us. This was definitely a good example of how good their server was. The bathroom amenities were pretty good and showed an extra level of how the hotel attended to details. For example, the L'occitane body bath/shampoo etc. were in a larger portion than other hotels, the toothbrush was a bit better than the normal one, the razor was in better shape etc.

Hotel Breakfast
This part really surprised me negatively. I have well heard of how good the Four Seasons hotel breakfast was and I did not doubt about that before.
But this time, when I went to have a breakfast buffet at around 10 AM, I found that most of the food were all out!
Food ranging from fresh fruits, potato/tomato in the Western food region, all sort of Chinese food(hot plate, dim sum, congee), curry were all out. This was really the first time I have ever encountered in a 5-star hotel. Imagine that you tried to open the cover of the plate to try to get some food but then you found nothing or barely anything inside and this happened continuously for nearly all plates! How bad you can feel about that?

Overall
You can blame me for too tough about the review(Am I?) but it's Four Seasons and it's not a random 4-star hotel. I don't really see it's providing up to its standard and offering enough capacity in food/resource/services. If they don't have a right capacity to serve all the guest in heavy load, I would hope they can have good planning and avoid accepting over-capacity bookings to preserve the quality.
Given this experience, I am not sure if I would recommend other to go for Four Seasons(at least not for Macau).
