We had clam for appetizer and it was awesome...the gravy was so tasty and it's so good with the bread. Main course was baked cod fish, which was a little too watery but the taste was good. The white wine recommended by waiter was so good...the best ever! But, the serradura pudding was a little disappointing. Overall, I would consider it good and worth the trip!

Had an excellent romantic Sunday dinner here. Having booked late we were the only ones on the balcony on a pleasantly cool evening. Lovely Spanish music crooning quietly in the background
The Portugese white wine was reasonably priced and went so well with the delicious creamy mushroom starter and grilled sardines.
Service was charmingly friendly - even to the extent that the waiter came with us to show us to the bus stop.
I would definitely return here.

The things we got...
Starters:
- Garlic prawns - save your bread for mopping up the delicious butter sauce. The prawns were fresh and cooked with skill, well flavored and delicious.
- Sauteed mushrooms with ham/bacon - was much too salty for me, and nothing special
Main course:
- African chicken - curry, coconut, soft and falling apart chicken chunks. In retrospect, we should have gotten rice to go with the sauce and topping, but we were too full.
- Portuguese style tenderloin - the meat was cooked medium, with a white wine sauce that did wonders to the baked potato pieces that were served with it.
Washed it all down with a bottle of red and called it an evening.

The servers all speak excellent English, are friendly, and willing to answer questions and give you all the time you need to order and eat your meal. Taxis are hard to come by, but they will call one for you if you ask. All with a smile.

Located just beside the original Lord Stow's Egg Tart Bakery in Coloane, the Espaco Lisboa offers a worthwhile alternative to the usual Macau tourist traps for traditional home-style Portuguese food. Set in a converted 2 story house with perfect white table cloths and a cute little balcony for a romantic tete-a-tete, the food here is definitely worth the short taxi ride from Macau, Taipa or the Cotai Strip.

Being a huge fan of another Portuguese restaurant in Taipa, unfortunately we tended to compare dishes between both places and whilst Espaco Lisboa lost out on the direct head-to-head taste-test, they do offer enough alternative dishes to merit return trips here.

The creamed mushroom starter with bacon, the Portuguese sausage and the African chicken with heaps of lovely coconut sauce were all highlights for us. Try the sawdust (Serradura) dessert too, or pop next door to Lord Stow's for a traditional egg tart, before working off the calories with a walk through Coloane village or along the seafront.

Service is excellent and booking is recommended at weekends.

Great food and nice service.
After looking for a place where to enjoy a portuguese lunch in Macau, we found this great place, the food was brilliant and the service too.
I was surprised on the quality of the meat and fish.
