“Open after renovation”

St. Francis Xavier Church
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Small place full of serenity, the church (or rather chapel) contain holiest relics of catholic church in Far East. Beautifully renovated, and is again the main adornment of Coloane's central square. The painting of central nave is very simple, but its photos became highest-rated from all my travel.

The church is a very simple and small architecture. All elements are simple but the colour is rich. Try to spend few minutes and sit inside, you should have spiritual peaceful. The front piazza have mosaic stone floor and a Memorial but Chinese restaurant set large table to occupy space, I think coffee shop and small coffee table are suitable there.

This is a great Church, the location if you not carefully you will not find it because inside Coloane area (there is a lot of boutique, cafe, store, and anything else you want to buy cheaper). Church is otentik and beautiful. Especially if you go at night, you will find a great scenery. This is my first trip to Macau and i found a great Church in the middle of Coloane.

The chapel is now under renovation, and facade is fully covered. Entrance is closed also. If this chapel is only one reason for visiting Coloane, just cancel. But fortunately, there are lot things to do around

This is one of the many churches on the historic route. Everytime you enter a church you will be amazed that you are still in China. It sure feels like Europe.
