Cross abroad from HK and took convenient shuttle bus (have to see the signage in front as same colour shuttle bus goes to Conrand/Holiday Inn hotel) to Sheraton Macao. Warm greetings from the bell boy and assisted luggages to the direction of Front Desk! Warm greetings by staff at the check in line and direct us to whom is available for check in. Within a minute, check in process is superb fast! Nice to say that they wish us for our honeymooner trip!Sweet! What the surprise the Guest Relations Manager meet us after check in and escort to our room. Introduced most of the hotel facilities as well as recommended tourism places!Great! Entering to our room, see a nice decoration with "rose balloons" and chocolates with a warm card " just for you"..This is really touch our heart!! It' greetings from Guest Relations team, thanks a lot! Nice room location with nice view which can see Venetien of Taipa! Cleaniless of the room is up to our expectation. The hotel is huge but you would not lost your way as so many staff is surrounding you from you came out from the elevator till lobby, all the staff is willing to offer you, and not just stand there. Concierge staff is informative and friendly, tried their best to recommend you the great places. What can I say more! A new hotel with professionalism! Cheers!

Both my wife and I stayed with Sheraton Macau Hotel in their club room from a Thursday to a
Saturday. We arrived at the hotel early at around 10.45 am. Early check in was not given even though it was included in the club room privilege. This was not a big problem as the hotel allow us to deposit our luggage at the bell counter until our check in time of 3pm. The room is roomy with good amenities. Most of the rooms in this hotel are facing another building (for mine, it faces the Conrad hotel). I can only get partial views of the venetian and the airport. Fruits bowl and welcome drink (unless they are refering to the hotel bottled water) were not provided, despite being included in the deal. (Note: I am not bothered by these, but I am just trying to be fair and informative in this review.)

As we were celebrating my birthday and our wedding anniversary, the hotel was generous enough to offer a complimentary cake in our room. On top of this, the hotel staff went the extra mile to purchase our ferry tickets to Hong Kong (at our own expenses, of course) from an external travel agent. The club lounge experience was great. We enjoyed using the foot massager before our evening cocktail. There is a wide-spread of food at the cocktail, ranging from hams, sandwiches, salads to cakes, macarons. Alcohols are complimentary during the cocktail timing. We tried breakfast at both the club lounge and the hotel restaurant. Both venues serve the same variety of food.

The hotel is located at Cotai Central, Taipa, whereas the main heritage sites are on macau island. Taxis to St Paul church cost us HK$80. The hotel, together with Holiday Inn and Conrad, shares the same yellow coach. They ferry guests to and from the airport, the ferry terminals and the macau/zhu hai custom gates at 10-15 mins intervals. There is a casino situated next to the hotel lobby, and also a number of restaurants and boutiques around the shopping area of the hotel. The Venetian, Four Seasons hotel and the City of Dreams are just next to the hotel.

In summary, Sheraton hotel provided us with exceptionally good service, which compensates for any minor flaws. Overall, I feel this is a value-for-money hotel and will recommend this to my friends.

Room Tip: Rooms with nice views are far from the elevator (about 15-20 room distance in between).

Got the ferry across from Hong Kong airport. 1st class is a waste of money, economy is almost no different.Shuttle to the hotel is across the road from the ferry exit and runs about every 20 mins.
The hotel is new and everything about the it was excellent. The staff came from different parts of the world and although most seemed to just new to the hotel all were very friendly and professional.
Location is not great as apart from the other hotels and casinos the area is bit of a industrial wasteland. The shuttle to the other casinos in Macao central is handy and the old Portugese area is only about 15 mins walk from where it drops you off. Unless you are big fan of casinos 2-3 days is plenty in Macao. The House of Dancing Water in the City of Dreams next door is world class and not to be missed if in Macao.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights.

To get to the free shuttle bus from the Macau Outer Ferry Terminal, walk out the main door, take the underpass (down the escalators) to the other side, walk against the flow of traffic and look for the huge yellow tour bus with the words Cotai Central. Note there are different buses going to the Holiday Inn/Conrad vs the Sheraton. The bus looks the same, with the exception of a sign board on the windscreen indicating which hotel they stop. However, after 9pm the buses go to both.

I am SPG Platinum. Upon arrival there is a dedicated (and huge) Platinum check in area. I can also check in on the 4th floor Club Lounge. However, it is better to do it at the main lobby as its a bit of a walk to the Club Lounge.

I was upgraded to a Suite (a Plat benefit) on the Club Floor. The Suite was huge and beautifully furnished. It had a very comfortable sofa to lounge on. The bed was very comfortable. A bit firmer than a heavenly bed but still excellent. The bath room was huge, with nice strong shower. The Platinum gift consisted of 3 apples, a bit of a let down when the sister property gives a bottle of wine AND a big basket of fruit.

Breakfast was taken at the Club Lounge on the 4th Floor. The breakfast spread was good, certainly a lot more food than other club lounge breakfasts. My feedback is they should provide more greens. I saw most guests taking fruits, vegetables and cereals, so guests are health concious. Greens avaliable was usually some leafy vegetables. How about some capsicum, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, celery..etc?

Evening Cocktails was fantastic. It is a whole buffet spread and enough for dinner. There was almost as much food as breakfast. There will be a roast item (eg roast beef or chicken), there will be a cooked on order item, lots of sandwiches, fruits, cheeses, hams. Wines were good stuff too.

The Gym was very well equipped and large. The best I have used so far in SPG hotels. They even provide heart rate monitors. They even had stretching machines (not just stretching diagrams).

The hotel has heated pools during winter, which I did not get to try out.

Service at the hotel was excellent. Staff went out of their way to assist. When ask where the toilet was, they don't just point it out to you, but they bring you most of the way to make sure you can find it. They are friendly and on more than one occassion asked me how my stay was.

I ate Bene, the signature italian restaruant. The first night I ordered a pizza to go. The pizza was too salty, and very oily. The oil (from the cheese) dripped all over the place. The pizza box was a puddle of oil and some of it dripped on my shirt. Wasn't good. The second night we dined there. Service was excellent. Attentive and personel. However, I ordered a procecco and it wasn't avaliable. I ordered a Sambuca and they took about 10mins to service it. Food was quite good that night. Prices were reasonable. 2 person cost about MOP 600.

My issues with the hotel -

- Housekeeping was a bit slow. My mother's room was not cleaned until about 2-3pm, when she wanted to go and have a nap and was unable to as she wanted to the room cleaned. I would suggest having a "Please Make up room" notice so housekeeping knows which rooms are can be made up first.

- The hotel is huge, so a fair amount of walking is required. There is nothing Sheraton can do about the size of the property, sadly. Any guest with mobility problems might find it difficult. For example, to get from the room, to feast (the buffet), elderly or less mobile will have to take a very very long walk. Even to get to the Club Lounge from the lift is quite a walk. To overcome this, I suggest the hotel place more seats on the property so those less mobile can rest in between.

- As far as I was told, the hotel does not have a shuttle service to historical Macau. Guests were told to cross the road to Venetian and take a public bus. Having a Shuttle to say Sintra hotel area would be nice.

Summary : Nice hotel, good service, huge property.

Would I stay again ? Not sure. Its huge, so huge that you feel isolated from the rest of Macau. I am not sure I want to stay in a smaller property, or in the old macau to get some culture.

Room Tip: Sign up as a SPG member and try to chalk up some status. The property is very big. Having a room nea...

Despite the hotel is huge and extremely chaotic as all Macau ones, the personnel is able to manage efficiently the mass of tourists: my compliment!. Room is new, extremely well appointed, clean. Breakfast is the best that can be provided in such a huge hotel.
Definitively a good choice if you look for a new hotel, well located but do not expect the traditional sheraton cozy/familiar hospitality: it would be unfair to expect it in such a huge hotel. Here you can taste the traditional Macau -las vegas hospitality: no less no more.
Just a remark: it would be nice to provide indication of exit in the room corridor in order not to get lost!

Stayed at the Sheraton Macau Club room in November 2012. Fast and friendly check in process. The place is really big, got lost trying to find our room and ended up at the wrong tower which was not yet opened. We were given the wrong direction several times by the casino staff, and finally made it when we found a hotel employee that pointed the way.

Great spacious room with awesome bed, beddings, plush robes, slippers, spacious bathroom and a deep soaker tub. I recommend staying in the Club room as it comes with evening cocktails and snacks, and breakfast.

The hotel's definition of evening snacks is a buffet of different varieties of food and drinks - soda, beers, wines, salads, cold cuts, cheese, make you own paninis, crepes, BBQ ribs, and a whole tableful of desserts. Breakfast is also buffet with omelette station, noodles, dim sum items, and western breakfast items. The two meals are well worth the extra cost for a Club room. Plus, there is free wifi for staying in a Club room.

Since the hotel is quite new, it was not as crowded as the older hotels, and we loved it. After we escaped the mob of tourists from Senado Square and the Grand Lisboa, we returned to our room to find our bed turned down and three red delicious apples waiting for us. Overall, a great stay that turned out to be free since we won $$$ to cover the entire Macau trip :-)

Room Tip: Club room with Club lounge benefits including higher floors room, free wifi, free evening cocktails...

Stayed in this one of the newer hotels in Taipa, Macau. You have the usual shuttle transport from/to Taipa Ferry and airport, also the Galaxy, but no direct transport to the Macau city, although one can take the shuttle to Galaxy and then from there another shuttle to downtown. You can expect all the modern and clean facilities as in any Sheraton, including the convenience of the 24 hr casino just downstairs. But as most of the other similar hotel clusters in Taipa, you won't find peace and quietness. You can easily spent lots of money quickly as there are heaps of brand name shope downstairs and around- like the Venetian Canal and the Four Seasons shopping areas just opposite the main road. OK for a short stay.
