Great location in the heart of Macau within walking distance to many attractions , casino's etc. Nice spacious bedrooms , very moderately priced , great bathroom with window through to bedroom - which can be screened off if you're shy !

First thing you will notice is this hotel is not on the main street(where Sands and other big players are), it's on the inside street. Next you will notice there is a police station across from the hotel (got to make you feel safe!). third you will notice there are a lot of money changers around (rates are quite good actually). Fourth, there are actually quite alot of Filipinos working in this hotel, which is great because they speak good English. Check in was easy and the Filipino lady was very helpful. The concierge Filipino guys are also very helpful. There is also a line of service staff you will pass by from the moment you walk into the front door, to check in and to the lift. Seems like a lot of staff around.

After staying at the Venetian I guess the Holiday Inn wasn't overwhelming at all. It's actually quite small and the bathroom is rather dirty and old. (The hotel has been here for a long time). Complimentary coffee and tea is stuck to the wall.

There is a public bus stop within walking distance from the hotel so it's quite accessible. You can actually walk to the St Paul Ruin's from the hotel, probably 20-30mins strolling speed.

The hotel also has a spa service. It's VERY expensive. (We didn't try it). Instead we went for a body massage somewhere else, which gave us a horrifying experience (more in my travel blog)

This hotel is in the old part of the city, not in the casino district. If gambling is what you are looking for better stay at one of the large casino resorts.

The hotel has an old facade outside but basically is a large tower. The condition is not the best, even if it was renovated recently (at least parts of it). There is also a small casino inside, some restaurants, a bar and a club lounge which is fairly small.
The room service is bad quality and takes a long time.

The room I had was renovated but rather small. The bathroom was in a very bad condition with a lot of mould. Also very old towels.
