We have been to Macau many times and decided to try this hotel due to its good location opposite New Yaohan department store and closeness to the Lisboa, Grand Lisboa and MGM casinos. In short, it is very good for the price. The rooms are decent and the standard of the food is fine. If you are staying in Macau you can afford to stay longer here and you will not be disappointed at all. A good tip is to try the food court on the top floor of New Yaohan.

Good location and easy to move to any tourist attraction area. A bit tough for muslim traveller to find Halal foods. 2 nites max should be Ok to cover the whole island. They speak Cantonese, try to learn some. Taxi from Airport to the hotel at nite will cost you around MOP120 (metered + surcharge)

Slightly dated hotel that is midway between the casinos and historic sites. The hotel does have not a casino which appealed to us. Excellent breakfast buffet that had western & Chinese options and was included in our room rate. Free airport shuttle but a taxi cost less than $50HK so why bother. We stayed in Macau for 2 days which allowed us to see the historic sights, shop and check out the smokey casinos.

My partner and I checked in late as our flight was delayed but we did not have any difficulty checking in. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It had fresh towels, toiletries, hairdryer, complimentary bottles of water, coffee and tea. Buffet breakfast included in room rate is also good. Checking out was also a breeze. The only thing I didnt like was the 500 hkd deposit they asked from us upon checkin even if our stay was already fully paid. They did return our deposit upon checkout but I would appreciate it if we were informed beforehand that this would be asked of us during checkin -- we only changed enough HKD for our meals and cab fares as we assumed that our accommodations were already fully paid. But overall, we had a pleasant stay. The location is also commendable as it was just walking distance from Grand Lisboa, Wynn Hotel, and Solmar Restaurant which is were we had our wonderful dinner.

The hotel is located at a strategic location near grand lisboa. When we arrived around 7pm at the ferry terminal, we took the Grand Lisboa shuttle bus and walked 5mins to Sintra hotel. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to the ferry station. The room and bed is spacious and clean. The room had basic toiletries and free wi-fi provided.

Staying at this hotel, we can walked to new Yaohan, Senado square, St Paul's cathedral etc.
Though we do not have breakfast included, but there are plenty of local eatery nearby.

I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

If you just want to stay at somewhere VALUE FOR MONEY, COMFORTABLE & CONVENIENT with all basic amenities available within walking distance, THIS IS THE HOTEL FOR YOU!!

Hotel is clean & tidy, staff is able to converse fluently in English & Mandarin, always courteous & opening the door for us. Usual 4-star hotel quality and room amenities, nothing less, but a lot more in terms of attitude & service. Happened to encounter Typhoon Usagi while we were there and the reception staff gave good advice on what to do/look out for & where to visit for the time being until typhoon signal reaches level 8. Bellboys reminded us before we got out to try to be back before the typhoon got worse.

Located on Macau Peninsula, it is within walking distance of:
- Magaret's Cafe - 2 mins - great eggtarts & sandwiches
- Lai Lai - 2 mins - Local supermarket
- New Yaohan - 3 mins - Japanese departmental store (8 levels)
- Grand Lisboa, Lisboa, Wynn, MGM, Star World - 5-10 mins - all the big & atas hotels with fantastic casinos & lobbies
- Leal Senado - 7 mins - leading to the streets of many souvenirs, St Paul's Cathedral & Macau Museum

Tried searching for other hotels around Macau that suit my needs without burning a hole in my pocket, and the searches always end up pointing back to Hotel Sintra.

Stayed at this hotel 3 times, from 2008 till now. Been there with different people and we were always very satisfied with our stay each time and no complaints at all.

WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN when we visit Macau.
