“DO NOT GO THERE! Very bad hotel! Stay away from this hotel!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2012

So bad, so could, stay away from this hotel!
Lies, no customer care, very old!
Waste of money!
Do not GO there! You will be very disapointed!
They do not speak English!
All marble, old style, nothing updated: very old furniture, old style design!
Not at all customer care!

Room Tip: Stay away of this hotel! Very bad!

This hotel is in the 5*deluxe bracket in the brochures, sadly this is not the case. The hotel is old, well positioned in Macau, the bedrooms a good size. We didnt eat in the hotel as we went to the pool bar (24hour service) to get a light snack before going to the gym, waited, and waited and waited for someone to arrive to serve us, so gave up. No one can speak English except for the reception staff, even the conciege couldn't speak English. We did not this this was good for a hotel with this rating. I am sorry, but we would not be back. Too many really good hotels in Macau where the staff are really helpful

Competition for hotel guests is very high in Macau due to the boom in casino's and theme hotels. Against this competition of brand new and modern hotels, the Landmark is not new but I would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. Efficient and polite reception staff gave us an excellent room on the 19th floor which was nicely decorated and clean which had all the accessories a 5 star hotel can provide.
We booked this hotel at the ferry terminal on the same day. Breakfast was included in the price which has Chinese and western food. This fare may not be to everybodys liking but I thought it was acceptable quality and quantity.

Room Tip: Be polite to the reception staff and ask for a high floor.

The Hotel is old. I'm a frequent traveler all over the world, but I never saw such a poor breakfast. Moast of the staff don't speek english. I tooked an upgreat to a delux room, old TV, no wireless, lan was not working. I called 5 times to get an internet connection after long discussinons and finally they gave me a wireless router for 500 HKD deposit! The bed is good. I wood not recommend it to stay here, there are many other nice Hotels.

The business center is good and the lady was very helpfull and friendly!

5 star hotel in the 90's but of you pay less than HKD800, you got a bargain. Plenty of big size full suits personel to greet you when arrive, casino is on 3rd floor and hotel rooms is beyond 6th floor. Guest have to interchange lift to reach their rooms. (troublesome). Hotel has a gym and swimming pool (both free for guest). Room size wise is perfect, netiher too big nor too small. Huge toilet that can store two big beds.... Bed is soft and comfy, 35 tv channels and counting and just walk across the street to starworld to catch a free ride to the jetty. Breakfast is ok....sausages, bacon, ham, fried noodles, timsum baked beans, plenty of breads, plenty of fruit juice and chinese porridge. Besides the hotel is Emperor Hotel and 1 min walk to Metropark Hotel and 5 min walk to Lisboa Hotel.

I think the hotel should have shown better days. Today is a bit missed in the middle of the new establishments that have opened in Macau the last 10 years.

Rooms are good but show many signals of age. Location is great for the ones interested in the modern part of the city. Breakfast is average with low variety and average quality.

Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful though and this is probably the best point of the hotel. Especially the two Filippino ladies in the customers' relation desk have made our stay there unique. Very attentive and always eager to help and satisfy all our requests.

Landmark hotel is my preferable choice when I visit Macau. This time I stay at west wing which the room is smaller than the other side. Receptions though are not fluent in speaking English but capable enough to answer and service with smile. Breakfast are quite ok.
Few things I like the most for this hotel: spacious room & bathroom, free in-room internet, free daily minibar, The Salute program to accrue your point and give you free stay back and of course good location.
