“A gem out of the madness”

Macau is absolutely packed with visitors these days. This place is quiet, peaceful and staffed with genuine people doing their absolute best to give you a personal experience. And it's cheaper than the cookie-cutter 5 star hotels. There is a shuttle bus into the town/ferries or they call you a taxi. We'll be back.

Even if it is a bit worn, it is excellent in terms of $ and services. It is located in a safe neighborhood. I like this less business-like hotel very much and please enjoy your relaxing breakfast in a well-decorated Portuguese-style cafe. It is cheaper to stay at weekdays, let's check price difference before making reservation.

Room Tip: choose a bigger one.

During our Asia trip we headed to Macau and we stayed in the pousada educational Hotel.
The arrival was well organized, check in went very fast and they even got us a gift for our anniversary. That was a Warm welcome to begin with!
We booked a deluxe room which was a bit dated but we did had a good sleep so nothing to complain about that! The bathrooms even had a rain shower which surprised!

When we refreshed ourselfs we asked the staff if they knew something nice to go for dinner. And they came with all sort of restaurant. Started to arrange taxi's and when they figured out that the kitchen was about to close when we would arrive... They booked another table at a different restaurant close by the casino where we wanted to go! So a Big plus for this effort!!

The breakfast was really good and it's very nice to see all the students doing their part to make it a pleasant stay!

We had dinner in the restaurant up the hill which was also from the school.., and the food was absolutely amazing!, great ambiance and well organized.
The only thing that we missed, was a personal touch in the whole stay.. How was your travel... How did the food taste.. It's nice to make a compliment.. But I think it is good for a hotel or restaurant to know if people Like the food or their stay....

Overall experience would Definitely go back to the pousada de mong ha when we will be in Macau again!

Room Tip: Good value for money if you take the bigger room...

A great location, despite the hill climb, and a very warm, genuine welcome the moment you walk through the doors. A speedy check-in and walk through to your room, with a brief what's what made the start of this mini break a pleasant one.
My room was comfortable and a huge step up from my Chinese accommodation! Despite the air-con unit being right over my head I had a good, cosy night's sleep in a soft bed and comfy pillows.
Cant grumble about breakfast either. Cereals, yogurt, cooked breakfast and a selection of croissant and pastries makes this an excellent way to start the day. Make sure to fill up if you have a full day of sight-seeing planned. Should certainly see you through to lunchtime!
Staff/students a real delight! You forget you are staying in an educational facility, they are real professionals. A credit to the hotel.

These days, Macao had been know for their gambling and entertainments... where the more interesting culture and arts seems forgotten. This is a hidden jewel, Mong-Ha is not an average hotel, it's an educational hotel for the students from Macao tourist academy, government property. Although, not at the most common areas in Macao peninsular or Cotai area, it offers an ambiance uniquely Macao. They offer lots of cultural details, some of everything...
The staffs are amazing, not just what you would expect from a full scale hotel, they offer the Macanese style, friendly and easy going, Casper, Hemmes and the team is great!
Breakfast is sufficient, the egg Benedict is nicely served...
The room had some well thought out designs, Macanese arts and culture infused. Well, the only this is, a bit small... haha... Been to Macao numerous times, and as a Portuguese myself, this is one of the best choice for a truely Macao Experience.

The place to stay in Macau: central but on top of a hill in a quiet environment, very nice classical Macanese design with many places to relax, excellent service and a good cause: students learn here hotel management and then will serve in the best hotels

I stayed here with a friend for 2 nights because Trip Advisor recommended it as I have to agree. This hotel is awesome, the service is great, the price per night is much cheaper then the casinos and it is located in the heart of Macau. This hotel is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the ferry pier but, it is nice to be away from all of the traffic and tourists. Upon arriving, you are able to enjoy fresh juice or water. Also, the rooms are very nice and roomy especially compared to Hong Kong hotel rooms. We stayed in the standard room but, it had a balcony with a view of the city and a computer you can use free of charge. As the mini bar is included in the room price. The breakfast there is very nice and it is a full breakfast including made to order omelets, various fruits, cereals, and other breakfast items. I would eat a big breakfast at about 10 so I could skip lunch and save some money there. Overall, the staff here treats you with the most upright respect you can ask for. There is also a free shuttle that will take to you the ferry pier or to downtown.
