“Ticked our boxes after a long day at Disneyland!”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

I arrived at this hotel very late with my husband and 5 yr old after a long day at Disneyland. We had spent the previous days in rural france visiting family and travelled to disneyland in the morning to spend a full day there! We were all well and truly ready for bed!! The check in process was slower than it needed to be and they had an in correct number of guests listed for our booking. I believe this is a fault with the website I used to make the reservation though rather than with the hotel. Not what you need at 11pm!

The room was clean and had everything we needed. Outside the room the carpet was soaked... just in a big puddle right outside our door which was a bit strange! We pretty much went straight to bed we were all shattered! The beds were comfy enough too. We got up early to have breakfast which my husband found very limited.

This hotel was exactly what's we needed and was within our budget for a night at disneyland before travelling home early the following day. I would recommend this hotel for people just needing somewhere to stay for the night.

Dear KylaX,

Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay at Explorers. We appreciate each comment and use your feedback to see what we are doing right and what could be improved.

It is great to know that Explorers ticked all of your boxes. We are sorry that you found the check in too long, we understand that at that time of night all you want to do is fall in to bed! We have to ensure that each reservation has the right amount of adults and children so that in case of a fire or an incident the hotel can account for everyone.

We would like to thank you again for your feedback. We hope to welcome you and your family on your next stop over to Disney®.

Best regards,

Got to the hotel checkin smooth, got to room looked like the last person had kicked 7 bells out of the door, room very basic more school holiday cabin style.
No towels one power point between 3 people is not fair, most expensive place i have stayed in France, even Paris is cheaper, food very expensive a tenner for small pizza 6 quid for a pint, a fiver for 175 ml of wine wow they do know how to charge, breakfast adequate just.

Room Tip: Try somewhere else

Me and my bf take regular trips to disneyland paris. This was our first time at this hotel but it was by far our favorite. The rooms werent as fancy as the magic circus which we stayed at last time but it was clean and had everything one needs. It included a hairdryer and a nice sofa as well as a few tv channels in english which was really great. Some things are a little worse for wear but nothing too major. I our room the only thkng thT bothered me was the lack of lighting as all the lights are yellow and dont really light up well.

The best part of our stay was using the pool. We are both 26 and enjoyed the pirate ship and water slides just as much as the kids. The water was nice and warm and the water cascade was really enjoyable to be under. The pool was very clean and they have a really good locker system to keep your clothes in.

The only thing we were disappointed about was breakfast. I have never been to a hotel where you had to pay extra for english breakfast. If you dont want to pay the extra 4 euros, the choices are quite limited to cereal, pastries or fruit that was really not that great.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Just sadly returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at this Hotel. My two little girls loved this hotel,my eldest saying "wicked" upon arrival in the foyer. The halloween decor didn,t fail to impress!!
Dont know why you get the moaners about this hotel .If you consider what makes your little ones beam with enjoyment then this is a great place to be for disneyland .
Yes i agree there are little faults about hallway carpets not being hoovered as i noticed daily, but our room was maintained everyday beds made/towels changed ,bathroom cleaned etc.
This Hotel is HUGE,BRIGHT,MODERN and has plenty of great facilities for a comfortable stay.
The pool was a credit however a little on the cool side for my liking not being thick skinned.temperature maintained at 30 degree but felt like 20 .maybe just my opinion.
My two little ones loved the scallywags play area too!!!
Shuttle buses are Great and run every 15 mins but can get very busy when park lets out after disney dream laser show.
Would definately stay here again Hopefully for NEW YEAR (funds allowing!!)
Forget the knockers if you consider your little ones fun and not your own love of a beer on the cheap.

Stayed here for 4 days. Great for staying by the park but it's like easyjet, don't expect luxury, you get what you pay for nothing else!! The bus to the park is very good but do get full early morning and late at night. The rooms are very basic but are very clean!! The drinks are flat and VERY expensive. 11 euro for a beer and a coke. The beer was flat and poor. The captains library was an experience, waited 15 minutes to be seated and then another 30 minutes to be offered a drink or bread (if you speak French, you will be served quicker). The buffet is good. Don't bring any swimming trunks as they asked to see them before they let you in the changing rooms anyway and they won't be acceptable. The swimming pool is good for the kids. Would I stop here again, maybe but I would shop around before I book. The best thing I can says is you are first on the shuttle and first off the shuttle to the park.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at Explorers Hotel. We take the time to read each comment and take them in to account to improve the service we offer.

We are glad you enjoyed the swimming pool and buffet. We do insist upon a strict swim wear policy at Explorers in keeping with French hygiene relations and to ensure your comfort. You can bring boxers or speedos for men, and swimming costume or bikini for women.

Thank you again for your feedback. We hope to welcome you back on your next trip to Disney®.

We visited this hotel from 25th to 30 th of October. 2ads + 2 kids in a 4 crew room. This was our 4th time at DLP and our 3rd time using this hotel. The hotel is very busy and this explains why the decor and carpets appear worn but the place is very clean and the staff work hard. Didn't use the pool as shorts / trunks not allowed but a vending machine will supply you with a pair for 12 euro. Had to pay city tax on arrival ?? Never had to do this before . The beer is flat and expensive so avoid if possible. The transport to and from parks are frequent but prepare yourself for a shock as all manners fly out the window when boarding - be prepared to push or be pushed. The ignorance of queue jumpers at the park is breath taking.
But this is not the fault of the hotel. I would still use this hotel again as price vs Disney hotels is a winner. Pool is not supervised so beware.

Went to disneyland paris on 24th October 2013 and stayed at the explorers hotel for 2 nights. Our party included 3 adults and 2 children who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Hotel itself was clean and tidy, excellent facilities eg swimming pool and indoor play area and the food was good with a fair choice from the hot and cold counter. Bedroom was ample to sleep in and we did not experience any noise therefore slept well. Shuttle bus is good and we never had any problems with crowds . Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return and recommend.

Room Tip: We had room 439 which was in easy reach of reception, dining room, swimming pool etc. also children...
