“Great stay for our visit to disney”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

Really liked this hotel and would stay here again for our next trip. Our son was sleeping in the bed behind the curtain and he was talking about sleeping in the circus tent all the time.

Hotel: A really great and big hotel, some things are broken and require some maintenance. But overall it looks clean and has a nice feeling.

Price: good price for the quality and the breakfast.

Room: we had the circus family room which was great and our son loved it.

bathroom: some tiles were broken and could use a fixup, overall not bad at all.

Food: The breakfast has enough choices and was good and fast. A good start for a disney stay.

Parking: Free parking at your own risk which is ok.

Overall: Would really recommend this hotel whenever you go to disney, good sleep, good breakfast and it's easy to get to the disney park with the shuttlebus.

Room Tip: Try to visit the breakfast before 08:00, after that lines will start to form since everyone will wak...

We chose this hotel going by our past experience of staying at The Cheyenne Hotel in same area. Only difference is the Magic Circus is not part of Disney. Its just another hotel.
Frankly it was a let down. The rooms were average, so was food and about service, the lesser talked the better.
There were almost nothing to keep our kids entertained in the hotel, though it is called Magic and Circus. Most of the vending machines, games machines were out of order. The out door garden was wanting for some creativity and maintenance.
Going all the way to Disney, spending the kind of money that was charged, we were expecting a better experience. Only saving grace was the Disney visit itself.

We had a great stay at the magic circus hotel. Was really surprised to read the negative reviews. The rooms were great with their little theme so the children we were with were loving it (age 3 and 4). The shuttle service to the park was great, frequent and reliable. We are breakfast in the buffet every morning which had lots of choice and had supper in their rester aunt on two occasions which we couldn't fault- service or value for money. The staff were very patient with my friends boisterous little children, it was great. The pool was good for the little ones, gym was the only thing that could be better but It was fine for a quick session before a full day in park. Would recommend staying here over other park hotels as was so much cheaper than others we had stayed at in the past.

Stayed last week in May. 5 nights. Do not take any notice of the bad reviews. I suspect people want 5 star luxury for Travel Lodge prices! The furnishings in the hotel are somewhat tired, but the nonsense given by some regarding breakfast, cleanliness, air conditioning, and security beggars belief. Yes, you will find some breakfast on the floor but come on, it is full of kids. Plenty of choice for breakfast, and we waited for a clean table for no longer than 5 minutes. Room wasn't large but adequate. Safe was broken but repaired within 5 minutes of reporting. Temperature spot on with air con. Hardly any noise at night. Regular bus to Disney. Staff friendly. Bar prices not cheap but again, what do you expect? It's a hotel near Paris! If you want Wetherspoon prices don't come. The only thing that we didn't find was much of the circus theme. Only saw one clown; the best thing the hotel could do is not focus on the circus aspect. Not necessary. Would I stay again? Definitely.

Avoid at all costs, it's filthy, carpets are manky, wallpaper coming off the walls and stuck back on with tape breakfast is served with blocks of cheese and mini croissants, everything is self service, which includes cheap theiving people making sandwiches and stealing yoghurts for their day at the park. Only come here If you have lost the Will to live or If you have very Low standards.

We reserved one double room for a Disneyland trip. At the reception, the reception's manager informed us that "for our security" we have to pay extra 30 Eur/night for a bigger room (4 beds). We explained that our 5y kid doesn't need/want a separate bed. It was impossibile to discuss with that person.

We paid and went to have a nap.

After 2 hours we got up in a room with 4 beds with 18 degrees... A real "security"!
Our kid already caught a cold and we had to go to a pharmacy... instead of Disneyland!
At the reception we were informed that the heating isn't on because all the previous days were much warmer... We asked for a electric radiator... "All radiators are already given".

That was too much.

After a long discussion with E.M., they offered a better room (upgrade) and refund for the extra-payment.

The breakfast is OK, the shuttle to Disneyland is fast and has a good timetable. The hotel is very clean and has a good position.

If we weren't left in that awful room and literally ripped off by the reception manager, I think I could give 5*.

Those 3* goes ONLY to the executive manager for his effort !

We are looking forward for a new visit to Disney in July but I think I have to find a new hotel to review!

We stayed here for 2 nights during the weekend of Ascension day from 30th of May to 1th of June. This is one of the busiest weekends in the resort seeing as almost whole of Europe is off on these days.

We arrived at about 4 PM so the worst check in crowd would have passed before us. There was a minor problem with the revolting doors which wouldn't open so the check in staff opened up one of the side doors to let people in and out. This was fixed by the time we went back out 2 hours later.

Check in went smoothly without any queuing and the reception staff was very welcoming and friendly. She explained everything about breakfast and other hotel facilities such as the pool and children's playground and the location of everything.

The lobby is spacious and has a lovely vanilla scent which you can smell right after you walk in. There are multiple little childrens rides that require 2€ and a cozy seating area where you can get drinks and snacks, along with a ball pit to keep the children entertained.

There are plenty of elevators so no waiting to go up or down and the corridors are well maintained. There are vending machines with drinks, snacks and ice on every floor near the elevators yet these were rather expensive (€3,5 for a 33cl of soda).

The family room wasn't extremely big (the website photos show them to be bigger than they really are) yet you've got plenty of space to move around. There's a king size bed and a bunk bed for the little ones with curtains around making it look like a circus tent. Inside the "tent" there was also a second TV provided.
Other objects in the room were a desk with chair, flatscreen TV, big wardrobe, a mirror and free mini fridge. Aircon was provided yet we didn't make use of it.

The bathroom contains a bath with shower screen, toilet, sink and mirror. A hairdryer is also provided.

Breakfast was lovely, much better than the Disney hotels. No time slots so you could just go whenever you pleased and even during this busy weekend with the hotel being fully booked, no queues. We went to breakfast at 8.15 and 9 AM and despite there being about 15 families in front of us, we were seated within 5 minutes.
On offer are cold meats, cheeses, croissants, pains au chocolat, bread rolls, toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, baked potatoes, fresh fruit salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, peaches, prumes, chocolate spread, different flavours of jelly/jam, ...
Everything was fresh and tasty and replenished quickly.

The shuttlebusses run up and down constantly and the drive to the parks is 2 mins longer than the one to Disney's Santa Fe, at most. Despite them going by all the partner hotels, they were less busy than the ones the Disney hotels offer.
Only the ones who leave right after Dreams were madness, but this was the case for all the busses at the bus stop of the parks, even the Disney hotel ones.

We would gladly return here and won't be wasting any more money on Disney hotels. We've stayed at Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge, Sequoia Lodge Golden Forest and Newport Bay Club but honestly Magic Circus is way better than all of the above. The only advantage Disney hotels offer anymore are the extra magic hours in the morning but an annual pass solves this very quickly (Dreampasses provide acces to EMH) and combined with staying here it will cost you a lot less than a Disney package too!
