We stayed at landaus Fay for a few days for New Years 2014 and where given a very warm welcome by both Rene and mark we stayed in a lovely family room with a bath and shower to die for !with beautiful views of the mountains ,mark and Rene are both passionate about all of the things to do in the local area and give great advice ,breakfast is lovely and includes fresh eggs from their own chickens! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are looking to try it out in the summer

My husband and I spent two days here at the beginning of August. We were most pleasantly surprised by the whole experience - the house itself is very beautiful and well-kept, with spacious comfortable rooms, cozy furniture and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful (great coffee, btw, and I am the one to fuss :-P). It is only a short drive away from the lake you can swim in in the summer, the picturesque town of Bad Ischl and (so I've been told) a ski lift if you wish to visit in the winter. The lovely couple who own the Landhaus were extremely friendly and helpful, offering advice on things to visit and sites to see. It is a beautiful place to rest and relax, but also offers loads of opportunities for exploring and having an active holiday. We were very happy with our stay and are certainly planning to go back again. I heartily recommend it :)

We stayed here for 2 nights. Liked the location of the place - in a real austrian country-village with its charm and quiteness. Special thanks to friendly and helpfull owners Rene&Mark, who sent us an e-mail before - how to find them (cause it's not easy even with GPS), gave us advices where to dine and to go. Our room was no.1 and was very nice with 2 windows to different sides of the house. The only thing which was not comfortable to me is that in this time of the year they do not have heating and the floor is rather cold as it is of stones...but i suppose not so many other people do like it being warm in may when it is almost 20C outside :)
Nearby there are lot's of traking routes + other facilities for those who like sports (ski or bikes), we took a car and explored beautiful St.Wolfgang, Hallstatt, Gmunden, Dachstein with its ice-cave and cable-cars to the top!
Do come here if you want peace and relax and magnificent Austrian atmosphere with a charm from England and Sweeden!

We spent 3 days in Landhous Fay at the beginning of May 2013. The house is situated in the best part of Bad Ischl in the village Perneck.
Rene and Mark are lovely couple, helpful, friendly and very nice. Mark is very good at different bicycle paths in this region. We were very glad to visit them because we were travelling with bicycles))) Thanks to him we saw such places by bicycles which are not noted on the maps. We were also very satisfied with our room, breakfast room and breakfast too. Landhous Fay is a perfect place to stay.
Thank you Rene and Mark!

This is not a great hotel - a small house with several guest rooms. There are a large clean rooms with great bathroom, balcony and good furniture and equipment. But most of all important are the owners - Rene and Mark. They are sincerely glad to meet guest and you are filling yourself as at home, not in foreign hotel. They provide not only room and breakfast (tasty!) but open not formal relation.
Note that hotel is located not in Bad Ischl town, but some away in Pernecker village (several minutes drive on car, but far to walking) and first time it not simple to find it, especially at evening. In village itself many trails available through surrounding hills - but there are no any shops or cafe - you have go to Bad Ischl itself (a very nice town).

Room Tip: ground floor room has entrance directly to garden, upper floors have balconys

My husband and I just returned from a two week vacation in Austria, three nights of which were spent at Landhaus-Fay in the hamlet of Perneck above Bad Ischl. The setting is quiet and peaceful. Our room was quite comfortable. We booked a hike and bicycle tour and were pleased with our accommodations, the food, and the hospitality of Mark and Rene. Rene cooked lovely dinners complete with wine and dessert and Mark was most knowledgeable about the bicycle trails. We bicycled to their place from Obertraun along Hallstattsee, along the Wolfgangsee to St. Gilgen, St. Wolfgang, and Strobl, and along the Traunsee through Ebensee and up to Gmunden. Beautiful lakes, forests, mountains, and rural scenery. We felt like family and wish we lived closer so we could explore the area on cross-country skis during the winter.
