On our arrival we were met by the owners and received a very warm welcome.
On opening the door to the villa we were very pleasantly surprised on how clean and welcoming it was, the owners have thought about everything that is needed to make their guests stay comfortable. Including a coffee machine, dishwasher, TV, hairdryer and towels for the loungers.
The kitchen/ open living space is very well equipped, and has been refurbished to a high standard, the bathroom is immaculate, bright and spacious, and the bedroom has one of the most comfiest beds I have ever slept in. To make it bearable there is air con which was needed.
The outside area is gorgeous and the views are stunning, grapes grow just outside the window, and picking a lemon off of the tree to add to my G&T was just perfect.
The private pool was wonderful, with a lovely sun shade umbrella, access to the hot tub, and private table and chairs over looking the hills and mountains.
Down from the villa is a large pool that we were also welcome to use, an honesty bar is also accessed from the pool area which has a TV which my husband was pleased to see as it meant he could watch the football, although we did have a TV in our villa. The whole area is spotlessly clean, well cared for and a credit to the owners.
We walked to the town of Alhaurin El Grande in the mornings (found it too hot to do in the afternoon), and it took us about 35 mins, and a very pleasant walk, the town is typically Spanish (not your average tourist spot), and there was a wonderful choice of bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Taxis are cheap and reliable.
Before leaving we booked for next year, which is a first for us, we had an amazing time and really didn't want to come home, it was relaxing, private and a fantastic time was had by my husband and myself.
